Montana citizens will vote on whether to mandate the availability of taxpayer-funded abortion through birth.
From The Federalist. Montana’s Republican Secretary of State Christi Jacobsen certified a ballot measure on Tuesday night that will ask voters on Nov. 5 to amend their state constitution to “expressly provide a right to make and carry out decisions about one’s own pregnancy, including the right to abortion.”

Montana law currently prohibits abortion beyond “fetal viability,” which the state defines as beginning at 24 weeks gestation. The ballot measure if passed, however, would effectively ban the GOP legislature from passing any laws that limit abortion before that cutoff. It would also keep the government from holding abortionists accountable for misconduct like ending life in the womb late in pregnancy.
“CI-128 prevents the government from penalizing patients, healthcare providers, or anyone who assists someone in exercising their right to make and carry out voluntary decisions about their pregnancy,” the amendment states. …
This sweeping modification to the state’s already radical permissions means practically any abortion could be construed to meet the “medically necessary” qualifier required for taxpayer funding under Montana’s Medicaid program.
“Montana allows abortion until a baby reaches viability and that apparently isn’t enough for the abortion industry and their political allies. Through this amendment, they are attempting to enshrine all-trimester abortion in the constitution for babies who could survive outside of the womb and force the taxpayers to fund it,” State Public Affairs Director Kelsey Pritchard said in a statement. …

Lord I pray that Your protection and mercy be known to all people and that this would fail to be voted in.
Lord take off the blindness, hardened hearts in all people deceived by the enemy over this issue.
May those seeking abortion have divine guidance and conviction to seek wise, Biblical counseling.

Lord, open the eyes of the blind especially in the church to stand up to this evil agenda of abortion. We repent. God forgive us. Make us bold more than ever before. In Jesus’ name.

Father, forgive us for putting personal autonomy ahead of the right of humans to live. It is a slippery slope that degrades life. Remind us that you give life and you give babies. May we especially as your people line up with what you say.

Dear Heavenly Father, I believe Your Word. It says You watch us as we are being knitted together in our mother’s womb and that we are fearfully and wonderfully made. It states that all of our days were written in Your Book and planned before a single one of them began. I pray life this morning (and every day) for every child conceived in this moment. I pray no woman will kill her child but will be guided by You, to carry and love. But for those who have no heart to be a mom, I pray adoption is their only choice and for these unready moms, may blessing come in torrents. Lord, please direct every Montanan to vote for life and every state in America to demandthe same. But as for Planned Parenthood and their supporters, I ask for You to do what ONLY You are able… You know that my thoughts about these individuals are dark. Lord, Jesus Christ Son of God, have mercy on all the unborn. Amen
