A Second Nation Votes on a National Day of Prayer
The United States of America was the first nation in the world to formally institute a national day of prayer. Now, decades later and after much intercession, a second nation may be about to join its ranks.
Let the IFA community know how to pray for you.
In December, IFA President and CEO Dave Kubal headed to Ukraine with a single goal: convince the Ukrainian parliament to adopt a national day of prayer. Now, after just over a month of dedicated prayer, it seems as though the plans he and his travel-mates planted may be about to sprout.
Today, the Ukrainian parliament will vote on whether to adopt a national day of prayer. We know that, as war continues overseas, the true answer to the crisis facing Ukraine can only be found in the Lord our God. Therefore, as lawmakers meet, our prayers are more important than ever.
Intercessor, if you watched our First Friday December webcast, you heard this story firsthand from Dave. We prayed on that webcast for a Ukrainian national day of prayer, and now our prayers are being answered! Let’s continue to pray for this war-torn European nation to dedicate itself to Christ!

Wonderful – did they vote for a National Day of Prayer.
I served in Ukraine on a 2-week missions trip back in 2004. Fell in love with the land, God’s people we met there, and the work for the Lord going on there. Yes, yes, Lord Jesus, make a national day of prayer a reality for all Ukraine, never more needed now as this unjust war rages on against this nation, which threatens to undo everything this people have worked for in standing surely independent on their own two feet, with religious freedom and the preaching of the Gospel happening in full liberty, to everyone’s benefit and blessing, amen
I’ve had the privilege to minister in the country of Ukraine, working with believers, and seeing thousands come to Christ. There are many wonderful dedicated believers in that country. I pray that they will embrace a national day of prayer. I am praying for the end of this horrible conflict and pray that God may restore peace to this wonderful land.
Thank You, Lord for stirring this desire in Ukraine’s parliament. Raise up a cry of intercession and travail that will loose Heaven’s armies over this war-torn nation and bring it’s people into a mighty move of God – reviving the church and awakening the lost. Yeshua, You truly are the Answer for the world today, above You there’s no other, Yeshua You’re the Way!!
