Heavenly Father, please give our families Your wisdom and strategies to stand against the LGBTQ movement in our schools.

Public school students across the country are about to be confronted once again with a yearly event that promotes the homosexual ideology of the Gay Lesbian Straight Education Network.

Under the false assumption that homosexual and transgender students are routinely bullied, GLSEN – for the 23rd year – is calling for students to protest by remaining silent in school on April 12, which is dubbed “Day of Silence.” The GLSEN website describes the observance as “a national movement to highlight the silencing and erasure of LGBTQ students in school …”

PRAYING FOR STUDENTS IN GOD-HOSTILE SCHOOLS–Free download!

Laurie Higgins of the Illinois Family Institute says, in reality it’s Christian students who are being bullied. “When you teach kids from young ages that theologically orthodox Christian beliefs are the very source of hatred and violence, you are the one doing destruction,” she tells OneNewsNow.

Having become prominent in high schools, Day of Silence is now increasingly moving into middle schools, according to Higgins, who advises Christians to practice some civil disobedience.

“… The act of civil disobedience that we’re advocating – and this is a coalition of pro-family groups from across the country – is that parents will do this one really easy thing: keep your kids home from school on Day of Silence,” she offers. “They don’t need to be present for more indoctrination.”…

In my house God’s word is truth. If He said it, we believe it. Homosexuality is wrong, we will continue to pray and show the love of Christ for these lost and confused souls in Jesus mighty name, Amen

I am sorry, Sandra, that you feel that Christians judge others, and that because they disagree with you, you are afraid of them. I think that if you gave them a chance you would see the opposite (except for a small minority that get the media’s attention). I don’t have to agree with you on everything that I think is harmful to you, especially those things that our Creator has told us is harmful. And I will try and express those concerns to you and others – and continue to care for and about you. Perhaps a calm dialogue would help. I hope you begin to see how Christians these days are mocked and disdained. On the contrary, it seems the gay community is embraced and promoted in just about every sphere of influence. We are more victims than the gay community. So let’s be sober and reasonable in our thinking and not throw barbs at each other. May you find peace in your life.

In response to Sandra: I care because God cares. Jesus came to seek and save the lost, which includes me, so that none should perish. I care about ALL people as do everyone who has commented here, except you. I haven’t read a comment that wasn’t loving or caring. We don’t want to see anyone perish but that everyone knows the love of Christ! Jesus loves every single person, including LGBTQ people. I pray that you too, would know how much you are loved. A father always disciplines (corrects) His children out of love, to steer them in the direction and path they should go. If He didn’t, then He wouldn’t care much about them. I believe these prayers are spoken from the Father’s heart because He cares! Lord, pour out Your love upon the “day of silence” and bring healing & unity to all people. ❤️

I attended the local School District Board meeting and stated my objection to the School District’s apparent endorsement of the Silence Day and was assured that the district did not “endorse” the day. The Principle of my grand daughters school called me and I told him that his staff was enabling the students to remain silent and not punishing the students who were not co-operating with their teachers on that day and they didn’t seem to have developed a way of dealing with this movement over some 20 years. I told them that many parents were in agreement that the school district needs to get cracking on this issue and stop caving to the Silence GELSEN movement.

EACH & EVERY PERSON has been created & miraculously formed in a Mother’s womb by The Almighty God. Male & female were made by Him.
Why would I want to base my OPINION in lifes decisions on any other advise than His? For the past 70 years I have lived according to the teachings of this same Almighty God who is found in the Bible. Every time I lived my life according to His directions I have had all the PEACE & COMFORT possible, yet when I ignore the Bible teaching and live by others opinions I mess up and end up in Frustration & Misery. LIVE BY TRUTH!

Father, I pray for the ones who are ensnared by the homosexual lifestyle. I ask that You open the eyes and clear the minds of the fog and confusion that surrounds them. I ask that You help the ones who feel guilty and ashamed of this lifestyle to see the truth and to know there is redemption and life through Your Son Jesus Christ. There is a way out if they are wanting a way out and they will be made whole and clean when they sincerely come to Your Son and ask Him into their hearts, repent and turn from their sinful ways.
Father, there are those who are okay with this lifestyle but there are others who feel trapped and alone, let them know there is a way out of this lifestyle that will bring peace, hope and happiness to them and that is only through Your Son, Jesus Christ.
Give the Christians strength to stand up for You in this situation but in love and not condemnation, we are all sinners saved by grace. We may not have come out of a homosexual lifestyle but we all have been involved in things we are not proud of. Remind us, that only for the love of Jesus Christ are we forgiven and made whole. Remind us, that You love everyone and want no one to perish. Help us, to see others through Your eyes and not through ours. Help us, to love others as You love and to have compassion as You have compassion. Help us, to not think more highly of ourselves then we do of others. Help us, to be humble, but strong in You in all situations we come in contact with daily. Let Your love and Your light shine through us. In Jesus’ Name I Pray Amen.

Thank you, Carol for this very biblical prayer. Humility and compassion have to be our heart attitude for our prayers to be heard.
We need godly wisdom. Do our children stay home or go to school and not remain silent. We can share our worldview with respect and love.
I agree with Carol. Let our light shine,
In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen

Father, Your Word says where two or three come together in agreement that You are there in our midst. Father, there are several people coming in agreement with the prayer Carol prayed, & we know You are in our midst & hear our prayer. Thank You for what You are going to do to protect the students who are not part of the homosexual movement & for helping us know how to reveal Truth to those who are so confused. Father, hear our prayers and protect our students from satan’s deception. In Jesus name. Amen

Why do you care if other people are LGBTQ if you’re not? It has nothing to do with you. You people do nothing but judge all the time and then you wonder why people feel bullied and afraid of you.

I care because people are trapped in this lifestyle and it is harmful. Not all LGBTQ individuals are happy with this lifestyle. Many feel trapped in a lifestyle that is contrary to God’s word. I have had family and friends in the LGBTQ lifestyle. I treat them like any family or friend but I do pray for them often. I have a granddaughter, age 13, who says that she wants to be a boy. She suffers from severe depression. Yes, a few individuals are “happy” in this lifestyle but many are not. I personally do not accept this lifestyle because my allegiance is to God and his word not man.

I agree with Max. Christians have been silent way too long. We are the ones who need to speak up, and keep speaking up. Speaking the truth in love is what Jesus taught us and He did. We are the salt of the earth. We are His light bearers. We are His witnesses. We are His ambassadors. Pray, yes. Then do what He says. Amen.

Shouldn’t Christians be standing up for their beliefs and fighting back? Keeping the kids home seems to be like we are giving in more than we already have! All the parents need to get together and make a stand against this! The problem is, there are way too many so called Christians that are “OKAY” with it! It’s NOT okay!

When parents keep their children home the schools are penalized monetarily so keeping them home sends a message
Additionally, speak the truth in love by sending the school an email saying why you will not let your child participate. I agree with you.
