Pray for God to move in a mighty way this weekend at Awaken the Dawn in Washington, DC. Pray for powerful praise, strategic and effective intercession, and an outpouring of the Holy Spirit.
For I will pour water on the thirsty land, and streams on the dry ground; I will pour out my Spirit on your offspring, and my blessing on your descendants. (Is 44:3)

Is God still speaking through dreams and visions today? God revealed Joseph’s future in a dream (Genesis 37:5-11), and Daniel was shown Kingdom realities through a vision (Daniel 8:1-7). Paul received an assignment from the Lord through a vision in the night (Acts 16:9). Could God be revealing prayer strategies for our nation today through unusual dreams and visions?
David Bradshaw is the founder and director of Fredericksburg Prayer Furnace in Fredericksburg, VA. Through a series of dreams and divine appointments starting in 2011, David began to sense the Lord calling intercessors and worshipers to prayer in an unprecedented way on the National Mall in Washington, D.C. These dreams and encounters have culminated in the upcoming prayer gathering called Awaken the Dawn, to take place October 6-9, 2017, on the Mall.
It is the extraordinary number of dreams and sovereign appointments involved that seems to set this gathering apart. Bradshaw’s journey began with a prophetic word in 2011 regarding “tent cities” on the National Mall, drawing masses of young people centered around music and prayer. Two years later, during an extended fast, someone in their community had a dream about a prayer gathering on the Mall with similar characteristics.
Being stirred in his spirit, Bradshaw set up an appointment with several national prayer leaders to process the idea. He then heard from another friend who had a dream the previous night, showing Bradshaw meeting with one of those very leaders. With no prior knowledge of Bradshaw’s plans, this friend repeated the same vision about a gathering on the Mall.
Next, Bradshaw received a text from an associate who had a dream detailing not only these specific leaders involved, but the indication that this gathering would specifically reach young people. At this point, Bradshaw and his wife went on another fast to seek the Lord regarding his involvement in initiating such a monumental vision.
In the middle of this fast he received an email from a friend he hadn’t talked to in several years. This friend had a dream with Bradshaw in the middle of a huge prayer gathering. In the dream, this friend walked up to Bradshaw telling him to “. . . not be afraid to do the new thing” that God had been showing him.
Bradshaw has now embraced this vision from the Lord and has been calling intercessors and worshipers to “America’s Tent of Meeting” for 24/7 prayer and worship around “the worth of Jesus.” Executive team member Brian Hume says, “We’re not building this prayer gathering on a platform of speakers or celebrities. It’s about you, the sons and daughters of the Lord—to cry out to God.” Bradshaw states, “If there’s not a move of God that doesn’t specifically reach the millennials within the next five years—we might lose them.”
Consisting of 50 tents (one for every state), along with 12 regional tents, this gathering will focus on worship and intercession, pursuing national revival. It was only after securing the dates of October 6-9 that Bradshaw’s team realized that these dates are during the Feast of Tabernacles when Israel gathers in tents in their nation’s capital, Jerusalem.
Bradshaw and many other intercessory leaders see this as a divine appointment initiated by heaven and are encouraging believers to take part in a “procession of prayer” leading up to the historic event. Father, God, we pray your mighty protection for all that participate in this Spirit-led event! We thank you for all those coming in prayer and unity on this special day, at this appointed time. We call our United States of America one nation under the GOD of Abraham Isaac, and Jacob forever! Dearest LOVING Father, thank You so much for this opportunity once again to declare and reaffirm YOU as the Sovereign Leader of this nation. Father, we individually rededicate our hearts and our lives to You in such a way that even moment by moment we choose to separate ourselves from those words, thoughts and actions that dishonor You. We choose to allow Holy Spirit first place in our lives and to rely upon His power to walk authentically as the body of Your Anointed Son. We choose to lay aside those ideas, perceptions and perspectives that separate us and choose to esteem one another more highly than ourselves. We choose not to judge; we choose not to speak negatively; we choose to respond to evil with good, to cursing with blessing and to hate with love. Yes, Father, with Your help we choose to deny ourselves and die to our selfishness and self-centeredness that others may see the manifestation of your forgiveness, forbearance and long-suffering–Your GOODness, leading all to repentance since You desire that none should perish. We choose to see people (including ourselves) from Your perspective–seeing that each has great value, potential and purpose according to Your great plan of salvation. We choose not to be offended, not to be rude nor self-serving, never living at the expense of another, but always bringing each into closer relationship with You. We thank You, Father, that Yours is GOOD NEWS and we call forth a hunger in the heart of every person to KNOW not only the good news but to embrace You as its Author. We call forth humility and revelation in all hearts, especially those of the millenials who lack understanding because of previous suppression of Truth. Lord, you know we are a captive nation, that the Prince and Power of the Air has invaded and ruled DC….Visit us here in these tents of meeting Almighty one. Show again the people of America that God IS, And that He works His will. Show your hand with Miracles and Revival You Who are above all other names. Holy One, makes us Holy as you are Holy. Consecrate us again unto Yourself. Defeat the Powers and Principalities over DC, we implore You. We feel half dead, revive us oh Lord, for Your name sake. Bless “Awaken the Dawn” in every way He that is Omniscient, Omnipotent, Omnipresent can, we ask this humbly. Forgive us dear Lord, heal us dear Lord, be our conquering Ruler again. Thank You for speaking so clear to Your children during this time. We thank You for the outpouring of Your Holy Spirit. We thank You that You are preparing hungry hearts for more of You in our lives. We thank You that people are thirsty for You, Lord Jesus. We thank You that when we search for You with all of our hearts, You will reveal Yourself to us. We look to You to fill us with more and more of You. We thank You that Your children are the body of Christ. We thank You that we are Your salt and light. We thank You for being in total control of everything that is being thought, said, and done. We thank You that they will know us by our love. May there be an outpouring of Your love in and through Your children. We thank You that You Are The One Who brings revival. We thank You for “such a time as this” on Your perfect calendar. Dear Lord this nation hears your calling of repentance. Let us honor you now. Push aside all the division in our nation. Father I sense you calling for our attention after disobedience.let our voices rise up to you,Father, and beg forgiveness. Have mercy on us and guide us to you and your ways. Give us unity and humble us so you can hear our prayers. Let them who are lost or struggling find their way to you Lord so they may receive the Holy Spirit and walk into your light. Thank you God!
GREAT IS ThE LORD AND GREATLY TO BE PRAISED!!! May the hearts of many hear the sounds of our Lord God and so our nation can heal. Mercy cries out and our Lord God answers with arms of love and strength. I pray that the precious Holy Spirit will be pored out upon the millennials and that they will decree and declare healing upon America. May the enemy be scattered and victories be won for the kingdom of our God. I ask You oh Lord to protect those serving you in Washington. D.C. May the angel armies of our Lord be present with the earthly armies to proclaim Your liberty. Amen
Father, we thank You as our Sovereign God, for calling together this time of awakening in America. Thank You for this celebration of tents in these United States. Father, forgive us for the sins of this nation, for not allowing Your truths to be a priority in our lives, for electing leaders that have chipped away at the laws You intended to be tattooed on our hearts, and for not giving You the glory when we prosper. Lord, Ipray for Your protection for those traveling to & from the event, I pray for protection for those preparing and securing the event, for eyes and ears to be open to hear Your message for this nation & we pray for any schemes of evil attacks against this gathering to be thwarted, turning back on all who scheme to do evil.
May ALL in attendance be enlightened with knowledge of Your history & the original, true history of this nation, that they may
be emboldened with continuous prayers for those in authority & become leaders on school boards, institutions, committee, commission, from neighborhood to the Federal level, may leaders come from this gathering, for You O God have made it so for such a time as this.

Oh Lord our God, let voices be raised in praise, worship and prayer that will resound in the heavens and join with the voices of angels worshipping before the throne of grace. Hear the cries of your people and answer in a way that only You can. Show Your Glory Lord that all may see
Lord raise up young committed people who will serve you with a whole heart to steer this nation back to you.
