In the midst of this political season and climate, in the midst of waiting breathlessly for the truth of this election and all its gory details to be brought into the light, in the midst of waiting for the next COVID-19 announcement—we must cling to our anchor in the storm. Instead of allowing fear to overtake us, let us hold fast to the One who is sure, to the one who has created allowance for our uncertainties to mount… Then, as we catch our breath, and pivot towards Him, we are reminded that our foundation is on the Rock! HE is the One who spoke the world into being…and can certainly turn each of these situations into ones where His fingerprints touch every surface and truth and justice reign!
Have you lost your HOPE? When we are wavering in our emotions, let us turn to the One whose name is above all other names… In the midst of our anxious thoughts threatening to overtake us in the dark of the night, press into the One who spoke to the storm. He spoke “Peace, be still” to the storm and He speaks peace to your quavering hearts. The Lord Almighty will be triumphant! We must await the One who placed each star so specifically in the sky. His purposes and plans WILL prevail. “Impossible” is NOT in His vocabulary!
There is a purpose and a plan in the wait. We must be steadfast, unwavering, and fully confident in the One. The God who is not slow in answering as we perceive slowness, but right on time (think of Lazarus).
Prayer points:
- As we pray for the truth of these elections to be unveiled, let us pray for Him to do immeasurably more than all we could ask for or imagine.
- Pray for His glory to overtake the Church in this outcome. Pray for the Church to rise up in a unified fashion, a unity that cannot be explained in human terms.
- Pray for those who are still blind in the church, who believe “we” are the ones who are fanatical, blind, or ignorant. Pray for the veil to be peeled back so that as ONE we might remember where our true citizenship lies and therefore how our lives need to align.
Lord, we pray that as the truth comes tumbling out piece by piece, that the mainstream media will no longer stay silent about the corruption being uncovered. We pray that those in the church who have been blind would pause, step back, and listen to YOU, Lord, in the midst of this political mayhem… Let us each hear what YOU have to say.
THIS is not our home. We are but sojourners on our way to the promised land. In the interim, our job is to infiltrate, infect, and intoxicate all those who come near – with His presence. Where we might not always have room to speak to the reason for the hope that we have, may our actions and words constantly point to the reality that we are SET APART and different from those around us. May we be people who are filled with peace, joy, and assurance in this time and season.

As we prepare for this Christmas season, let us be reminded that our “impossible” God already knew THE WAY when sin first entered the world.
- He convinced a man to build an ark (picture that – a vessel that was the length of 1 ½ football fields and 7 stories high) with no rain nor water for miles.
- He parted the Red Sea to make a way for the entire Israelite population to escape their oppressors (imagine 2-3 million people crossing a stretch of DRY LAND possibly 8 miles in width).
- He had a man swallowed in the belly of fish for three days – to make a point.
- He caused a virgin to conceive a son and allowed the Son of God to enter this world as a baby.
- This same God allowed His Son to be ridiculed, spat upon, and crucified, in order to carry the full weight of our SIN. Then God did the ultimate—when His Son emerged from His earthly tomb fully ALIVE three days later! The Resurrection points to the mighty God we serve!
When fear or anxiety threaten your peace, step back to the simplicity of who our God is. Turn off the media, listen to worship, read the Word, and get in His presence. That will do more for you and your ability to stand than seeking more knowledge or understanding of the present situation. Settle in for the peace and the assurance of knowing the One who is all-knowing and calls you by name.
He is in the wait. No matter how this all goes, He is still on the throne and working things for His Glory and renown!
Our confidence, our hope, our assurance… lies in ONE NAME. JESUS! HE is the reason for the season! Lift high His name today!
“Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.” (Joshua 1:9 NIV)

Roman’s 15:13 encouraged me the most
The paragraph near the end addressing when fear and anxiety threaten your peace is encouraging. The day after Thanksgiving one of our grandsons was tragically killed in a vehicle accident and his mother, our daughter, and all the family are grieving. He was only 18.

The fact that everyone is concerned about the COVID virus and how to stop it. The Holy Spirit cannot be stopped. When we share the love of Jesus, no mask or social distancing can stop the power of God. I pray Lord that unlike our invisible enemy, the power of God will be visible all around us. People will see your love for them which cannot be denied. We pray for revival among your people and that people who don’t know you will desire this move of God for themselves.

Does God want us to divide His land, Israel. Seems every time there is a very difficult challenge to our nation, it is when His land was divided by us. Please know the boundaries Israel is to have (by His Words) and no other must occupy otherwise God Himself fights anyone or dominion trying to do so.

If you want to be encouraged this Christmas–this letter is a great start. Follow it by watching “The Star of Bethlehem” movie on Amazon by Frederick Larson. By the end you will be in tears as you reflect on the fact God is the Creator and that He has everything covered! Reading these comments, I once again see that women seem to grasp the power of God more than men. I thank God for all you Godly women!

I posted this in response to another of today’s articles as it is fitting to these times and this psalm brings me encouragement. I’ve been “stuck” in Psalm 33 for a few days now. Let us rejoice for He is with us and watches over all, He is aware and “able”, our hope is in Him!

We need to reflect God’s grace/mercy over this year…look for it! Draw near to God/He draws near to us. Our media must be the TRUTH of God!s Word. Then &only then CAN THE THRILL OF HOPE, A WEARY WORLD REJOICES! O, HOLY NIGHT!

Romans 15:13 has become a go-to verse for years, and I appreciate especially the phrases in this Passion translation. Thank you for this wonderful encouragement!
I heard the Holy Spirit say that the Lord is going to give us a preview of heaven on earth. We will be filled and anointed by his spirit. We will be as the Lord was on this earth 2000 years ago. He will fill his children with his love, his peace, and his truth. The trinity is the Father who is love, the Son who is truth, and the Holy Spirit who is the power. Our task is to believe and receive him and his word. The trinity is the whole truth. Jesus said he cannot do anything without the father or the spirit. We must believe in the power of the three in one.
The three together will be as one. Love, truth, and power. We must receive the father’s love, the son’s truth, and the anointing of the Holy Spirit. God will make a way for us! We give him the praise and the honor and the glory! His great awakening is upon us! Merry Christmas!

to learn how to prayer more boldly: & to drink in the “life” given here through the prayers posted on the comments. I always feel like I’m at a powerful prayer meeting when I read through and pray with the posted prayers!

At present many of us do not know what else we can do but pray to You for deliverance, but please, dear Lord, if You will it, let us do even more; I pray You will work through all of us, truly unite us, that we may stand against the coalition of evil that has assembled. At 1:00 in the morning I was deep in thought and crying out to the Lord and the Father ! Help me ,I was tired of the coronavirus , what’s happening in America .I need help myself , the waiting was harder today then it’s been for awhile.then I open up the article, and a wind of refreshing blew over me and I regained my peace ! The Word of the Lord is a sure foundation in these uncertain times. We can cling to it as an anchor of hope in the winds and waves of tempestuous seas. Lord, speak calm to our hearts, “Peace, be still.” Let us wait patiently on you, the author and finisher of our faith, to mold us ever more into your image. Comfort our hearts, keep us on our knees interceding for the body of Christ and for your mighty will to be done in our hearts, in our nation, and in the world. We thank you for the glorious gift of your only begotten son. Let us ponder these things in our hearts like Mary did; worship and bring you gifts like the wise men did, and listen to the angels as they pronounce the wonderful coming of our Messiah, the baby born in the manger, the perfect gift. We celebrate You rejoicing. Even at the time of Your birth, there was chaos but heaven was rejoicing; angels were rejoicing. So we rejoice in the midst of this chaos.
