Politics can bring out a defensive nature in friends and family–especially if they see the world a little differently than you. Many of us have the desire to share truth, biblical perspective, and our ideals with others, but how can we do that in a manner that is winsome and will be received thoughtfully? IFA has three great ways to be an influencer in this election season–and we make it easy for you.
1. Discover My Political Personality Test
Tests are everywhere on social media and people love to take them! By sharing the Discover My Political Personality test, you can let people discover for themselves where they line up with the two major political party platforms. The test is not only quick and fun but factual and well-documented and very insightful as to what the two parties stand for in their values. This test features some of the key issues that divide the two parties and can bring clarity on how biblical principles align with major party platform stances. Here are three ways to use the Discover My Political Personality Test to reach out to others:
-Take the test yourself! You can verbally mention it when you are in conversation with others. Your first-hand experience with the test will be helpful as you share.
-Share the test link on your social media accounts- share multiple times to assure that your online friends are catching it! Share this link: www.discovermypoliticalpersonality.com.
-Invite others to take the test and share the test as well on their social media accounts–let’s make this go viral!
2. The 2020 Voter Prayer Guide
Voter Guides can tell you what each party believes, but few voter guides provide not only quotes from the party platform but also prayers and scripture. We believe that the Vote Your Values Voter Prayer Guide is more than just a platform comparison, but is a map for prayer and a tool to enlighten those who read it about where the parties stand IN THEIR OWN WORDS. This resource should be widely shared! In 2016 we had the distribution of hundreds of thousands of printed voter guides. This year, we have made our Voter Prayer Guide digital so it can be shared even easier. We even have two versions available – a full version, and an abbreviated shortened version that is easier You can find it on our IFA resources page, and on the Vote Your Values 2020 site.
How can you use the Voter Prayer Guide to be an influencer for truth and biblical values?
-Offer the Voter Prayer Guide to your church and pastor–it is a non-partisan guide that is prayer and scripture-based.
-Send out the Voter Prayer Guide to your email list of friends and contacts. Since it is not from a political campaign, it is not like a political endorsement.
-Share the Voter Prayer Guide on your social media accounts as well–there are many people who may be looking for a biblical perspective on the election.
-Share the link to the Voter Prayer Guide with your prayer groups, community groups, and any other groups in which you are involved.
-Print some out and make available to share. (If you are having trouble accessing or printing the Voter Prayer Guide, please don’t hesitate to call our office!)
-Share your other ideas below in the comments!
3. Vote Your Values LIVE
Through the Vote Your Values 2020 campaign for prayer, you have been able to intercede on your own for those who hold our biblical values but have not been regularly voting–now we are interceding TOGETHER, LIVE on Tuesdays at 12:15 p.m. ET. Join us to pray together for those on the map, for the targeted states, and our election process. We had over 1,000 intercessors praying live together for our first Vote Your Values LIVE–our goal is to get thousands interceding weekly for these potential biblical voters. We hope you join us to intercede, but also share the invitation to pray with your praying friends and family members. This is one critical way we can be an “influencer” on the elections–both in the spiritual and in the natural. If you joined us on the first Vote Your Values LIVE, share below!

God, may we vote what You would have for the USA – may the people that You want get elected for 2020. Please guide us as we vote, and intervene during this election process.

Father God, I pray that many Christians will open their Spiritual Eyes to see what are YOUR value which is what is best for USA and in fact for the whole world. We can not just simply march or support for something that we think its right to protect others or to have compassion for others. We know that You can fixed anything that we have done wrong to go according to Your will. However Father, we, as Christian would like to have discernment on all matters because we are an example of life to be lived.
Help us to draw closer to You always so that we are always charged up to the source (YOU ARE our source of power) in order to be able to live our life confidently.
Father, Your will be done in this matter. In Jesus’ Name, we pray and thank You. Amen.

Open doors of opportunity for we your people to tell others of your great love. Give us words in the hour we need them. Give us boldness in this hour. Use all who are called by your name to be influencers in this election. Open the eyes of our understanding and the understanding of all those around us. May we cloth ourselves with tenderhearted mercies, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Strengthen us by your Spirit to fear you more than people. We pray you would go before us and soften hearts. Open the eyes of the understanding of all Americans to know you as their Lord and Savior. Protect this upcoming election and give us leaders who fear you. Remove the wicked from office and bring peace to our land. Use us as your mouthpiece. Bring glory to your name!
