I Prayed have prayed
Thank You Lord for inspiring President Trump to rededicate our nation back to You. We pray this would honor You, Father!
Reading Time: 6 minutes

Last week, at the National Prayer Breakfast, President Trump stood on stage and issued an official proclamation declaring 2026 a “Year of Celebration and Rededication.”

Our Monthly Ministry Partners are the lifeblood of IFA.
Join today.

This statement filled me with such joy and excitement for being part of a country that is determined to rededicate itself to the One who made and saved us and the One whose Word our nation was founded upon. 250 years later, and our President is not only celebrating our nation but recognizing at whose hand we have relied upon for its success and longevity—and giving thanks.  I applaud President Trump for being bold in his words and actions around this concept.

The call to rededicate our nation “under God” resonates deeply with intercessors who understand that America’s moral strength has always depended on acknowledging the sovereignty of the Almighty; that our nation is fundamentally built on the model of God’s Word and the grace and mercy of our Redeemer.

1 Thessalonians teaches, “In all circumstances give thanks.” This command invites us to celebrate our proud history as Americans, reflect on God’s abundant blessings, pray for our country and our people, and renew our commitment to walk as one nation under God.

This is especially relevant in today’s America, where divisiveness is everywhere, where the smallest things become the biggest political minefields. We live in an age where the enemy truly prowls like a lion around our holy places, waiting for the opportunity to strike.

Now is the time to give thanks, now is the time to be grateful to our Father.

Gratitude for believers is not passive; it shapes the humility and courage needed to sustain a righteous cause.

Our founders understood this concept well and applied it. Just weeks before declaring independence, the Second Continental Congress ordered a day of “fasting, humiliation and prayer,” asking God to pardon “all our manifold sins and transgressions” and to “establish the peace and freedom of America upon a solid and lasting foundation.”

Later, in the very heart of the Revolutionary War, they declared it “the indispensable duty of all men to adore the superintending providence of Almighty God.”

Their appeals were not ceremonial—they sprang from a belief that national survival depended on divine guidance.

Today, that same truth endures. Human dignity, liberty, and purpose originate not in government but in God. The goodness of our cause relies on aligning ourselves with His will. As we reflect on this sacred moment, we recommit ourselves to prayer, thanksgiving, and faithful stewardship—for the sake of our nation and the unborn generations whose futures rest in our hands.

Let’s all unite in prayer that God would do a great work in our country as we join our President in rededicating our nation to the Lord.

Read the proclamation the President made below, and pray that God would be glorified and that our nation would be spiritually invigorated by rededicating our nation to “the laws of nature and nature’s God.”

On January 1, 2026, the United States began our year-long commemoration of an important milestone in the history of our country:  250 years of American freedom and independence.

Two and a half centuries ago, on July 4, 1776, thousands of years’ worth of wisdom, philosophy, and culture were brought together in Philadelphia where delegates to the Second Continental Congress gathered to declare the birth of a new nation — “conceived in Liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal” — and, in so doing, launched the single greatest force for goodness, justice, prosperity, and human flourishing the world has ever known.

As we celebrate the 250th year since the signing of the Declaration of Independence, we acknowledge with gratitude and pride that July 4, 1776, represents the most seminal political event in all of human history.

Unlike other nations, America’s Founding was rooted in the belief that every man, woman, and child is “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

This conviction, enshrined in our Declaration of Independence, and indelibly etched upon every American heart, remains the bedrock of our government and the crown jewel of Western civilization.  For 250 years, the burning flame of liberty has been passed down from one generation to the next, and has carried our Nation and our people to heights that our Founding Fathers could have never dreamed.

Guided by the example of Founding Fathers like George Washington, John Adams, James Madison, Benjamin Franklin, and other American patriots who helped light the torch of liberty in 1776, let us ask our Creator to bless America, free our Nation and our people from all threats to our safety and happiness, and to guide our actions for the security and common good of all Americans.

This year, we honor and cherish the generations of pioneers, warriors, statesmen, preachers, inventors, risk-takers, workers, and heroes whose unwavering commitment to the promise of freedom gave rise to the greatest Republic ever created.  Today and throughout this year, I call on every American to celebrate this triumph of the American spirit, and to rededicate themselves to the sacred cause of liberty and justice for all.

The Bible teaches: “In all circumstances give thanks.”  As such, it is fitting that we mark this special year as a unique occasion to celebrate our proud history, reflect on our abundant blessings, pray for our country and our people, and rededicate ourselves as one Nation under God.

From the earliest days of our national story, reflection and thanksgiving have been central to our character, identity, and destiny.  Just weeks before declaring independence, the Second Continental Congress ordered a day of “fasting, humiliation and prayer,” petitioning God “to pardon all our manifold sins and transgressions” and to “establish the peace and freedom of America, upon a solid and lasting foundation.”  Later, in the heart of the Revolutionary War, the Second Continental Congress declared it “the indispensable duty of all men to adore the superintending providence of Almighty God.”

In the sweltering summer of 1776, the promise of Freedom moved our ancestors to break with a tyrannical empire, issue the Declaration of Independence, and go on to overcome every hardship to establish a Republic like no other.  It is this unwavering spirit of courage, faith and patriotism that propelled Paul Revere on his famous midnight ride, and that later inspired some of the world’s greatest men to pledge their lives, fortunes, and sacred honor to build a new nation.  It is this spirit that led General George Washington to persevere at Valley Forge; inspired Davy Crockett to make his last stand at the Alamo; sustained settlers on the Oregon Trail; held the bloody ridges of Gettysburg; set slavery on a path to worldwide extinction; roused a generation of young men to conquer tyranny and communism overseas; and carried our beautiful Stars and Stripes to the face of the moon.  To this very day, it is this American spirit that lives on in the hearts, minds, and souls of every patriot — and inspires every new generation of American citizens to reach further and aim higher.

When the Second Continental Congress voted in favor of independence, General George Washington issued General Orders to his army.  In words that have echoed throughout history, he wrote: “The fate of unborn Millions will now depend, under God, on the Courage and Conduct of this army… Let us therefore rely upon the goodness of the Cause, and the aid of the supreme Being, in whose hands Victory is, to animate and encourage us to great and noble Actions.”

Today, too, we pray that our noble cause continues to be guided by the hand of providence and the grace of God — and that the fire of freedom will forever burn brightly in the heart of every American.  Above all, this year, we pray and endeavor that the triumph of the American spirit and the glorious truths expressed in our Declaration of Independence will shine more radiantly than ever before.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, DONALD J. TRUMP, President of the United States of America, do hereby proclaim 2026 as a Year of Celebration and Rededication.  I call on every American to reflect upon and celebrate the wisdom and deeds of the heroes of our Founding who made the miracle of America possible.  I call on parents to teach their children about America’s inspiring history, heritage, and heroes.  I invite the world to come to our shores to experience the splendor, warmth, and hospitality of America.  And I encourage all Americans — including businesses, churches, families, and the military — to observe this year, reflecting on the blessings our Nation has received, with appropriate programs, ceremonies, concerts, celebrations, and activities in their homes, schools, work, communities, military bases, and houses of worship.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand this twenty-ninth day of January, in the year of our Lord two thousand twenty-six, and of the Independence of the United States of America the two hundred and fiftieth.

DONALD J. TRUMP

Share your gratitude and prayers for America below.

Jesus has and is blessing the US of America. ” To bless”, means to invoke divine care and pronounce holy; to endow: protect and preserve; to approve, speak well of or favor: to confer happiness or prosperity upon.
” The Lord bless you, and keep; the Lord make His face shine upon you, and be gracious to you: the Lord lift up His countenance on you, and give you peace.,”So they shall invoke My name on the sons of Israel, and I then will bless them. Numbers 6:24-27.
May the US do tge same to our young people, ALL people,!!
Now it shall be, if you diligently obey the Lord your God, being careful to do all His commandments which I command you today, the Lord, your God, will set you on high above All the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you IF you ,the US , OBEY, the Lord your God.” Deuteronomy 28:1_2
Even though Jesus was talking to the Jews, I think this also goes to ALL nations that obey Jesus. Since Jesus had the US in His plans from the beginning of creation, , this pertains to the US and as you see, obedience is very important!! God bless America and may America bless and obey Jesus!!! Amen

I find this hard to believe that you earnestly think that President Trump wants to rededicate America back to God. He has done everything he wants to tear this country apart. What’s worse, there are numerous of folks who agree with everything he says and does. It is not in the saying, but the doing. The things that God is going to judge US on are what we are doing. I find it strange, though not unbelievable, that IFA makes no mention of how President Trump portrayed the Obamas. That was totally disgusting and falls very short of the actions of the leader of this country. And yet, we are applauding him because he is rededicating America back to God. What kind of god does he serve? He has pardoned all of those who took part in that shameful day, Jan.6. He has no regard for the constitution, he calls people out of their names, he disrespects others and expects them to bow down to him and grant him his every wish. Make up your minds. Who will you serve God or Trump. Your decision will make a great difference.

This is ridiculous. You are apparently plugged in to different sources who have either brainwashed you with fake news or paying you to divide America. If you are a true Christian, God gives you discernment so that you can identify truth or lie.
Sorry, I don’t think you belong here.

Your comment is what is ridiculous. The portrayal of Obama was not a media report, it was directly from Trump which anyone can see for themselves. Anyone justifying a racist despicable post is far from the teachings of Christ. And, again, anyone can look for themselves, it is posted all over the internet. Who is the one lacking in discernment. Because you don’t like something that is truthful doesn’t mean you can just keep blaming the media.

Regarding making a choice of who you serve: I suggest that you take a look at the Democrats official stands ie ABORTIONS made legal=MURDER of our nation; harming our children through mutilating surgeries; and so very much more and all know it that are paying attention! GOD has been kind to give us another opportunity of real LIFE with President Donald Trump. It is clear that the Democratic party is the party of Satan! This is the TRUTH. Know the TRUTH and it will honestly set you free! So, do you want to serve the party of Satan with the Democrats or stand up and ask JESUS to bless AMERICA and rededicate this great land to him! You are honestly the one who has the most to lose. I pray you will see the LIGHT and LOVE of Jesus, our Lord and Creator.

Father, thank you for this declaration to rededicate our nation to You, to Your ways and values, to Your truth, justice and righteousness, to the covenant and principles on which we were founded. We are a people from every tribe, tongue and nation, not bound together by flesh and blood, but by the truth of Your word and the liberty we bind ourselves to through Yeshua our Messiah, Lord and King. Father, hear our prayer! Father forgive! Father heal our nation! Father unify us in, by and through Yeshua–the One who died and rose again, the One through whom we have redemption, forgiveness and release of all debts. Abba, unify us in Your love and perfect us in Your love that we may become perfected through loving one another as You love us. Release Your Holy Spirit and fire as we fillet ourselves of our flesh and become whole burnt offerings, saying as our Master did–not my will, but Yours be done. Father in Heaven may Your name be sanctified in us and in our nation–through her citizens and through her laws; may Your kingdom come and Your will be done in our nation as it is in the Heavens; give us daily the manna of Yeshua and forgive us our debts as we practice over and over again forgiving those who are indebted to us; lead us away from temptation, strengthen us to choose You and deliver us from the evil one and his human minions; for to You alone belong the Kingdom, the Power and the Glory forever. Arise Oh Lord and let Your enemies be scattered, let Your foes be put to flight before you. Strike the wicked on the cheek, shatter their platforms, uproot their entrenchments, send warriors in their midst to destroy their structures, webs, traps and entanglements. Release Your Spirit of wisdom, knowledge, and understanding upon our leaders. Strengthen those who are called by Your name to stand against injustice, lies, treachery; embolden us to proclaim freedom to captives, liberty to those in prison, sight to the blind, healing to the sick, cleansing of lepers and the year of the Lord’s favor. May our eyes be fixed resolutely on You and may our desire be to bring You glory through intimacy and overflow from the secret place. In the name above all names and His righteousness, Yeshua our Lord, amen.

2 Chronicles 7:14 states: “If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land”.

Let’s start by FIRST seeking God of Heaven and earth and Jesus Christ our Lord and Savior by the power of the Holy Spirit! So be it!

Because this is a spiritually monumental thing to do, the enemy will pull out all stops to try and stop this from occurring, so we -“THE Church ” must pray often now and before President Trump re-dedicates our Country to the Lord . Already, a Prophets by the name of Diana Larkin shared a word from the Lord that a member of Congress had spoken an activation code to summons the sleeper cells, paid protestors and gangs ( Teen de Aragua) to take to the streets to bring destruction chaos and death. The Church was told to pray against this for it to be stopped and also to pray that the funding for these uprisings would be dried up as well. Brandon Biggs , who saw an assasination attempt on President Trump last year , saw another attempt on his life and said that the Lord said that pride and arrogance had entered his heat and had left him open to the attack of the enemy and that he had listened to wrong council for some of his decisions. The Lord also said to pray for President Trumps words –to watch his words because it would affect his presidency as well. -even his upcoming State of the Union Address. The Lord told Brandon that he alone was not the Church and to admonish ALL of his church to pray and these things that the enemy want to do would be averted. We cant be causal about this because the enemy wants to bring in Agenda 2030 and God has used President Trump to stand as a roadblock to it.

Oh, God, who made the summer and warmed the earth with beauty, warm our hearts with gratitude and devotion to our duty.
For in this age of violence, rebellion and defiance
we’ve forgotten the true meaning of “dependable reliance”–
We have lost our sense of duty and our sense of values, too, and what was once unsanctioned, no longer is taboo.
Our standards have been lowered and we resist all discipline, and our vision has been narrowed and blinded to all sin–
Oh, put the summer brightness in our closed, unseeing eyes so in the careworn faces that we pass we’ll recognize the heartbreak and the loneliness, the trouble and despair that a word of understanding would make easier to bear–
Oh, God, look down on our cold hearts and warm them with Your love, and grant us Your forgiveness which we’re so unworthy of. –hsr

I am grateful that I live in the greatest nation on the face of the Earth. That said, rededicating the USA to Almighty God is SO necessary. We need to give this rededicating more than lip service. We need, as a nation, to remove the scourge of abortion from our country. This is an abomination to God, and we have already begun to reap what we have sown. The current divisiveness is certainly a symptom of how God has began to pour judgement out upon this nation for the lack of respect for human life that abortion consists of. We truly need to humble ourselves, pray fervently and sincerely seek God’s will for our nation. Then, we need to be obedient to His directives. Only then will He hear from heaven, and heal our land. Thank You Jesus.

Per The LORD’S instructions I PRAY, have PRAYED, will continue to PRAY, using the 4th verse of the USA National Anthem, viz.

“O thus be it ever when freemen shall stand
Between their lov’d home and the war’s desolation!
Blest with vict’ry and peace may the heav’n rescued land
Praise the power that hath made and preserv’d us a nation!
Then conquer we must, when our cause it is just,
And this be our motto – “In God is our trust,”
And the star-spangled banner in triumph shall wave
O’er the land of the free and the home of the brave.”
