If you have continued following the news since the November 5 election, you will have seen news about DOGE. What is DOGE?
President-elect Trump, in keeping with his promises, has charged business gurus Elon Musk and Vivek Ramaswamy to head up a new Department of Government Efficiency. Nicknamed “DOGE,” this private commission will audit government spending, identifying waste and reporting on expenditures that need to be eliminated.

President-elect Trump has given Musk and Ramaswamy until “no later than” July 4, 2026, to get this work done. During that time, the efficiency gurus hope to cut as much as $2 trillion from the federal budget. It has the potential to be one of the most effective tools for the Trump Administration to cut waste and deep state bureaucracy.
With such a mammoth undertaking, Musk and Ramaswamy–as well as all the soon-to-be-hired members of the DOGE think tank–definitely need our prayer support!
Would you join me in praying over their assignment today? Here are some specific directives we can pray for the new Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE):
- Pray that only the right people will be hired to assist with the DOGE auditing process.
- Pray that the DOGE team would be given appropriate access to all the records they need to review. Pray that people who do not have the country’s best interest at heart would not be able to hide information from DOGE review.
- Ask the Lord to give the entire DOGE team His supernatural wisdom.
- Pray that our Father would pour out His sevenfold Holy Spirit on the entire DOGE team—and that, whether they expect it or not, they would be filled the Spirit of the Lord; the Spirit of wisdom and understanding, the Spirit of counsel and might; the Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
- Pray that the Lord would quicken their discernment, helping them spot things that are awry—and that He would help each reviewer know when to dig for additional information, clarification, and hidden things.
- Pray that all hidden things will be revealed and all secrets made known according to our Father’s will.
- Ask the Lord to tune President-elect Trump’s ear to hear everything he needs to hear, and to understand it well, as reports begin to come in from the DOGE commission.
- Pray that the Senate and House leaders would be responsive and open to making the changes they need to make as DOGE reveals its findings.
- Pray that Congress would pass and change all appropriate laws to eliminate government waste.
- Pray that the DOGE commission would relay correct information to the American public throughout its review period.
- Pray that any existing fraud or thievery would be exposed and brought to justice.
- Ask the Lord to place a heightened sensitivity to fiscal waste in the heart of every American. Pray that every American would be a good steward of God’s resources, and that waste would become appalling and even unthinkable to us.
- Pray that the angels of Heaven would go forth and assist in every DOGE investigation, in every way possible, to the glory of God.
- Pray that the Lord would physically protect and bless Elon Musk, Vivek Ramaswamy, their families, and their business interests as they serve the American people in this way.
- Pray that Musk and Ramaswamy would get to know Jesus Christ as their Savior and Lord during this process, if they don’t already know Him.
The DOGE effort is groundbreaking and monumental.
It could (and hopefully will) alter the course of our nation forever. But, with such a hugely impactful assignment, we definitely need the Lord and all the hosts of Heaven to help our nation with this effort. Will you join me in praying today for these “financial ninja warriors” who have been entrusted this mammoth task?

I will continue to pray fir DOGE
May the effectual, fervent prayer of the righteous avail much. Knowing the will of God is important. If this is His will, we know we have the petitions we desired of Him. We need not be afraid of anyone or anything. We are in the season when those who know their God, His purpose, and the purpose for which they were created, shall be strong and do exploits. God has given the rule of earth to mankind. What we say is important. Heaven is waiting to hear what earth is saying. What we bind in wart is bound in heaven. What we loose on earth is loosed in heaven. Let’s keep saying, praying, agreeing with the same thing according to the will of God. The mountains will move. I’m praying and declaring without fearing. Earth and all its spheres must know that the heavens rule.
This has been needed for a long time. The same as getting rid of congressmen and presidents who fail to protect and defend the USA as they promised to do., The question is will government inertia drag its feet actually getting rid of the waste until PRESIDENT Trump has left the house and then go back to business as usual? Only Almighty God can see to it any good actually happens. HALLELUJAH!
Excellent article, Jamie! So many absolutely hitting the mark prayer points. In my own spirit I am also praying that there would be no revenge or retribution motive and anything that Trump or any part of his government does. We know that the vengeance of man will never bring the righteousness of God and we are looking for righteousness and justice which are the foundations of God’s throne!
Dear Lori: Don’t forget what Soloman did to all who were traitors to his father David. Righteous reward for hateful behavior and Soloman was the wisest man by Gods blessing. May PRESIDENT Trump see to the same rewards. This nation needs to see and fear traitorous behavior against this nation by those who took the oath is punishable and fear violating the oath of office as so many are doing this very day.

There needs to be at home Moms on this committee. Living on one income with children, we can show the government how to live on a budget!!
What an outstanding thought! Getting citizens involved who understand! That surely came from the Holy Spirit. You should try to see about the Trump Administration activating Stay at Home Moms to give some kind of input!
Working single Moms also know how to manage funds because one of the aspects of managing funds includes generating income. They’re usually also good at time management since they have a lot of responsibilities to manage.
Stay at home Moms, especially ones that depend on welfare and don’t receive child support on a regular basis, have definitely learned how to live frugally and be resourceful.

WOW! I want to know God’s Word and Will completely so that I can understand It, obey It, apply It, and share It and so I can hear/receive, understand, and share Rhema Words from God’s Holy Spirit like it appears you have. In the meantime, I pray for God’s Will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
How did you learn God’s Word? How did you learn to understand It? I read my Bible but sometimes don’t fully understand something so I’ll look at various Christian resources, which theoretically have a better understanding of God’s Word than I do, but sometimes these resources come to different conclusions. I know I should pray and ask God/Jesus/Holy Spirit to help me to understand His Word and I try to remember to do that.

And I agreed with your prayer to the Heavenly Father in Jesus’s mighty name for God’s will to be done in this Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE): area, and for crypto currencies such as Stellar, and many more heavenly, earthly, and spiritual needs of the world.
Lord, we pray that all government officials would not only cooperate with the DOGE team, but would also have the repentant spirit of Zaccheus manifested by generous giving, and repaying back fourfold anything that was fraudulently taken. I don’t know where Elon is at or whether he is all the things you outline. He could be used to reduce and make more efficient the behemoth, demonically fueled bureaucracy that is the Federal Government which is swallowing us alive -and there are very few who could attempt this. Also, had Elon not bought Twitter, we might well never have had another opportunity to unseat the demonic, woke, authoritarian, radical left and it is possible Trump would not have won Pennsylvania without Elon’s efforts.
It appears Elon’s political views have evolved in a positive direction.
Praying that he be used for good, that the Lord protect anyone attempting to unseat the deep state, that Elon meets Messiah Jesus.
The Lord uses some quirky, imperfect, and spiritually mixed people in positions of authority. Praying Elon could be a source for good and not for evil.
I think that it is personal with Elan. He blames woke culture for his son trying to become a girl. I think that changed Elan’s viewpoints in so many ways.

I think that part of what this team should do is go back and look at: The Golden Fleece Award was a tongue-in-cheek award given to public officials in the United States for squandering public money. Introduced by Democratic U.S. Senator William Proxmire in 1975, it highlighted the most frivolous and wasteful uses of taxpayers’ dollars, and incorporate that type of mindset into their program to cut waste.
