With abortion, unchecked sexuality, and several others moral failings, America is becoming more and more of a pagan nation.
From The Stream. A specter is haunting America. It lurks in its halls of government, its media, its television, its computer screens, its classrooms, its culture, its children. It is the invisible agent transforming America into something completely other than it ever was. The mystery is deep. And the specter is ancient. In an earlier age, it destroyed nations and empires. It has now set its sight on America. If it has its way, it will mean calamity for our nation. It is the specter of the gods.

In light of Ezekiel 38, I believe this is the time of Christ’s soon return. I pray daily for the salvation of those who do not believe in the Lord Jesus Christ. I personally believe the Lord is returning soon. Very soon. Looking at what’s playing out around the world, at the sin embracing lifestyle now of the United States and the total lack of good morals being taught to most children, I’d say things aren’t going to turn around again. And the evil man ruling in Russia likely won’t have a change of heart, either. Read Ez. 38. And look up which nations are those mentioned there so you can understand which present day countries they are. Prepare your hearts for the Lord’s return. You don’t want to be ashamed when you see him face-to-face. Nor do you want to be left behind because you have turned away from the Faith.
Forgive us, Father God, for the sins of our nation and for our apathy that contributed to the gradual and now exceedingly fast decline of our country’s morals. Open the eyes of those have been so deceived into believing that anything and everything one chooses to do is okay; reveal truth and send a great revival to not just our nation but to the world.
I pray for American Revival 🙏 of Christianity! This country is so lost, wicked and evil that has been extremely noticeable in our media and the way our government has been run now and starting in 2008 with Obama. Plead for spiritual Revival America 🇺🇸!!!
Father in Heaven,
You alone are Holy, God Most High!
Your Kingdom come, Your will be done in our families as it is in Heaven! It is a great agony when we find our sons and daughters bound by Satan’s chains of addiction and immorality, O Abba, Help us!!! Send forth Your Truth and heal us, please!!! KING MANASSEH
[Based on II Chronicles 33]

Manasseh, Judah’s king,
Did great evil in G-D’s sight.
Just like the heathen nations,
He spurned G-D’s Holy Light.
Rebuilding shrines in high places
That his father had torn down,
He again reared heathen altars
For Baal worship all around.
He made groves for Ashtoreth
Throughout G-D’s Holy Land,
Forbidden, evil practices
Which he’d built with his own hand.
He worshiped the hosts of heaven:
The sun, the moon, and the stars;
And even worshiped the planets:
Venus, Jupiter, and Mars.
He built altars in G-D’s House
Where G-D’s Name should rest forever,
Altars for the hosts of heaven,
Which was no small endeavor.
He passed his children through the fire
In Hinnom’s evil place,
Where he’d offered them to Molech
To his shame and full disgrace.
He observed the times around him
Through false prophets who had lied.
He used evil enchantments
To invoke the “Lord of the Flies”.
He used witchcraft in his worship,
Rebelling against G-D and His ways.
He turned to the worship of nature;
To the Devil he lauded his praise.
He dealt with familiar spirits,
Conjuring them up from the dead:
A practice strictly forbidden,
Full of vile and full of dread.
He dealt with the wizards,
Who’d entertained him day and night.
Capturing his heart, they’d convinced him
That their god had more power and might.
Manasseh provoked G-D to anger
By setting an image in His House.
He caused Jerusalem to turn from the L-RD;
Full rebellion did he arouse.
Worse than the heathen did they do,
The ones G-D destroyed off His land.
The hearts of His people were led astray
By the works of their own hands.
So G-D led the Assyrian army,
Directed by His hand above,
To drag Manasseh to Babylon,
To punish the one whom He’d loved.
In the land of his captivity,
Manasseh remembered Abraham’s G-D.
And in his great humility
Sought after His forgiving nod.
He poured out his heart like water.
He greatly humbled his soul.
He made supplications to the Father
To regather him back to his fold.
Manasseh humbled himself greatly
Under the chastening rod of G-D,
Desiring to walk in His ways once again,
Renouncing his evil, pride, and fraud.
He prayed to G-D for forgiveness
Regarding his sinful past.
Then G-D inclined His ear to him
And answered his cry at last.
So Manasseh was restored to Jerusalem
To his earthly kingdom’s throne.
How he’d missed his place of birth,
The place that he’d called “home”.
He did not waste one minute
To destroy the Devil’s work.
He tore down all the evil places.
In doing right, he did not shirk.
Day by day, he sought to destroy
Every idol off the land.
Day by day, he sought to restore
All the ways of the Great IAM.
In holy and in reverent fear,
Manasseh restored the land,
Along with the people of Judah
To the G-D of Abraham.
Today, we need this message
So much more than ever before.
For it’s only in returning to G-D
That we’ll ever be fully restored.
We, too, have our own high places
Secret altars that must be destroyed
We have turned to man-made fixes
And to demons we have employed.
We’ve forsaken our Heavenly Father
And have walked on unholy sod,
Just like King Manasseh
Who had turned his back on G-D.
It’s time to destroy the high places
And to seek after G-D’s holy will.
Let us return unto G-D, O’ His people
That His blessings upon us be fulfilled!
Lord – help us to not just despair and give up; let us not assume that, because our country has regressed toward paganism, it is inevitable that we continue in that direction. Inspire your church and all Christians to find a renewed energy and need to shout our faith from the mountaintops, to share it with non-Christians. Give us hope that it is still possible for us to turn this ship around. Thy will be done.
Wow..well not much to say except for history repeats itself and the only differences is the generations and times.
Lord Heavenly Father please guard our hearts and help us to remember your ways and teachings. Protect us from what is to come. Lord only you know our future that’s the ultimate reason why we need to follow you and trust in you and for us not to rely on our own understanding and fleshly desires. We thank you father for your love and patience and we pray all these things in Jesus name Amen.
This paganism/anything-goes immorality has taken down many empires – Roman, for example. The pax Romana was once thought to be indestructible. However, as the Republic turned to increasingly licentious Empire, the moral structure of the people degraded, and the empire could no longer stand. The Dark Ages ensued.
Can we make everyone return to God? Probably not. The prophets if Israel had a dismal time trying to get people to do that, even though time after time results proved them right. However, we CAN keep ourselves close to God in humble morality, and share this with those around us willing to listen. We CAN keep our children out of public schools. We CAN form communities, urban or agricultural, and support each other. Let us do what we can. Yes, this nation, too, can crumble when it turns away from truth.
Father we thank You for Your Word. Because of this we should not be surprised to see what is going on around us. We thank You that “false ideologies are going down and the captives are being set free”. We know this because Your Word instructs us how to fight for our Country and the World. We thank You also for Ephesians 6 that instructs us that we are in a spiritual battle and to take up the “full armor of God”. Help us to be reminded to “suit up” daily so we are prepared to meet the new day. In the powerful name of JESUS. Amen
Heavenly Father, God of all Creation, our Creator I exalt You above all! You alone are worthy of all praise, all honor and all glory. Lord I repent of my sins and the sins of my fathers. Lord I humble myself as I ask You to help America. You told Abraham You would not destroy Sodom if You found 20 righteous men, You couldn’t even find 20 of them. Lord I repent for the sins of America that have been made against You Father! I hate what You hate and love what You love Father God. Lord I cry out to You Lord to heal our land. To take the hearts of stone out of the people and replace them with hearts of flesh. That You replace their evil thoughts for thoughts of good. LORD, I cry out to You to protect our children and Your people. Lord, there are churches in America that are teaching false doctrine, Lord please take these churches out. There are many antichrist’s in the world and people are believing them, Lord please help America. This country was built on in God we trust and that is why we have had the success we have in such a short time because of You, not us! Lord forgive us, I stand in the gap for the evil doers in our land as I pray this prayer. I give You all the praise, glory & honor and I ask these things in Your Son Jesus’ name, Amen 🙏🏼

Praying for revival in this nation and for the lost to be witnessed to as the days grow darker. The time is close to the end as those of us watching for Jesus return can sense it. We do not know the day nor the hour, but it is close. Reading God’s word is like reading His mind and we need to be in His word to understand what it is He wants us to do with our lives today and in the future. Forgive us Lord for our sins and we ask for healing for our nation and the lost to turn to You before it is too late.
The only thing progressive in America is the moral decay that is taking place. When a nation turns its back on God, then God leaves that nation to its own evil desires. History repeats itself again and again, and the sad part is, that people never learn what they need to. Lord Jesus, how we so desperately need a revival in today’s twisted, ungodly moral morass. Wrong is right, and right is wrong. Please reveal Yourself to our nation in a mighty way. In Jesus’ name.

I also tremble for our precious country. Please shower us with Your extended, unearned mercy. We have systematically and sadly turned our backs on You. Please forgive us!!! REVIVE Your church. Awaken Your pastors. Dethrone every single thing we have placed before You. Let Your Truth squash every lie of the enemy, and repentance wash across and flood our land from coast to coast. Dear Lord please help us to do our part in all of this. Not to just read these reports and be discouraged, but to rise up and do our part in helping shift the culture back. Honestly, we are in this boat now because Believers have become comfortable, apathetic and desensitized. What is God telling us individually we should be doing, more than reading social media and pushing the heart and care buttons? Lord, forgive us and show us what we need to do, and give us the courage to do it!

This has started in the 20s. Sadly America would rather read porn magazines rather than Scripture. This attitude was complimented by taking prayer out of school. I remember our home room teacher opening with prayer until ’63. Then it was forbidden. He continued but with a noticeable lack of participation. Scripture tells us most will take the wide path. Praise God.
Help me believe! I am afraid that it’s too late. Judgement is due. I hope Jesus will come before it falls..
Father, may Your people, those of us who are called by Your Name, humble ourselves, and pray and seek Your face and turn from our wicked ways. We have greatly sinned. We have unwittingly, even at times, selfishly followed after other gods and failed to listen to You and heed Your Words and follow after Your Ways. Mighty God, we repent of our gross failures. We proclaim that, indeed, we have greatly sinned. We are Yours, Father, and desperately need Your forgiveness and restoration. By the power of Your Spirit, draw us into that renewed, never to be severed relationship with You…thank You for our Savior and for His and Your great love for us. Almighty God, I hold before the covenant our forefathers made with you. In that covenant they said we would be a nation declaring your holiness and your salvation.

Romans 8: 38-39 nothing can separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord! I pray that as people go through trials will seek what they truly desire, the love, grace, mercy, and goodness of Jesus and Father God and that they are so important to God that He was calling to them first!
I have read Jonathan Cahn’s book and it is compelling. He not only parallels the turning of Israel from God and resulting judgment with America’s own rejection of God and our potential judgment should we not return to God, but also parallels the sexual pervertions in pagan religion with the sexualization of our culture. What he emphasizes is that it was Jesus’ coming and the establishment of the church which drove out the pagan gods and their practices from Western societies. In like manner to Israel’s turning from God and worship of false gods, American’s acts of removing prayer and the Bible from schools, followed by increasing sexualization of our culture, abortion, decline of the family and condoning of homosexual marriage, have opened the door to the return of these same pagan gods or evil spirits. Rather than freedom, these cultural practices have resulted in the enslavement of America and the West to these pagan gods/spirits. Just as the church’s influence in its early centuries was able to end paganism, so too can the church rise up today against such principalities, for greater is He who is within us than those in the world. It is a spiritual battle as from the beginning in the garden. Jesus defeated Satan with His death and resurrection. The church must repent and return to the Lord as Israel did in Nehemiah’s day. Jonathan encourages the church to repent and build on the Supreme Court’s resent ruling removing Roe v Wade. As the Jewish people returned to their land they rebuilt the temple to worship the one true God. So too must we faithfully return to His ways, rightly dividing the Word of truth. Then shall our influence upon the culture once again drive out the evil spirits and their false claim on our land.
We must return to living the Virtues – We worship the dollar bill vs the Lord,
Our choosing the flesh vs the Spirit has led us to the reality of what engulfs us today. We must begin with ourselves, honestly asking, ” What can i do to be more “Virtuous” & in turn less about myself?
