During the Taliban’s rule from 1996-2001, the Ministries of Prayer and Guidance and the promotion of Virtue and Prevention of vice became known as the “moral police.”
Reportedly, the ministry was known to strictly enforce sharia law upon women under Taliban directive. During that time, women were banned from work and education…

“We have fought for almost 40 years to bring sharia law system to Afghanistan. Sharia does not allow men and women to get together or sit together under one roof. Men and women cannot work together. That is clear…”
Hashimi said the ban on women would also apply to sectors like media and banking, where women have become increasingly prominent since the Taliban fell in 2001 and Western-backed government was installed…
Many have feared what the fate of women would be in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban after the disastrous American withdrawal under President Joe Biden. It looks as if those previous fears are rapidly becoming a present reality.

The fact that these misguided Taliban men think
their cruel and inhumane guidelines for their
lives allows them to subject women to a position of
such unimportance proves the delusion that governs
their actions. If you can’t work because their law
says you can’t be under the same roof with a man,
how do they justify women being able to live with
a lawful husband and have children? Nothing tracks
here to a line of truthfulness.
My prayer is that God will work through the Christians
in Afghanistan to strengthen their faith for effective,
fervent, continual prayer to bring release from the
bondage in which they have long been subjected. Prayer
not just for deliverance for the women, but for all of
these people (even if it has to be one at a time) to come
to the saving knowledge of Jesus. If those haughty,
ungodly and misinformed men can plead that they have
spent 40 years to work their evil, those godly people
in Afghanistan can pledge to work as long as it takes
to obtain the victory that is needed in the Kingdom of
God for Afghanistan. In Jesus Mighty Name, Amen.
The country I lived for 3 1/2 years viewed women as chattel. Men had a bucket list of things they wanted like a car, clothes, etc. A woman or wife was not included as that was oversupplied in relatives. So…a good sheepdog was more valuable than a woman.
Do you hear centuries of attitudes perpetuated in a culture dominate by one segment of a population. We know the attitude and desire for control never ceased and now has erupted again.

Father, we plead for Afghan women to run to you and bring their families with them starting underground churches–like the women of Iran & China. God, we pray for these Afghan women to rise up to pastor house churches all over Afghanistan. Father God, I see a great cloud of your anointing over these women & over their churches. Your holy spirit is there, your angels are there to protect them & give them success. Father God, we believe one day soon all of Afghanistan will be Christian, that Christians own the businesses, run the government.(Isaiah 57:13) God we thank you
Father God only You can turn the heart of man toward Yourself. It’s not by power or might. (the instituting of military force, or “aide”) but by Your Spirit that the Taliban leadership will change and honor women and walk away from their brutal and archaic belief systems. Their minds are controlled by demons that seek to usurp Your authority Father. These are generations of men that have been indoctrinated by the lies of Your enemy. They truly believe they are serving the “almighty” and they are serving and honoring a god, but not the ONLY ONE TRUE GOD OF CREATION, so Abba I plead for a miracle that cannot be denied, turn the hearts of stone and reveal Yourself that the leadership that has taken the Afghani peoples hostage will fall to their knees in repentance or may the ground swallow them up, just as You caused to happen to the rebellious in the desert. Father we ask You to hear the prayers of Your children and crush Your EVERY enemy , shatter their strength, make heads roll if they refuse to repent of their stubborn sinful ways (Ps. 68:21) You are Lord, Yahweh,You rescue from death over and over again🙌🙌 .Cause the Angels of the Lord to encamp around the innocent in Jesus name🙏🙏🙏🙏
Oh Poppa God, Almighty, true Merciful One, this is no surprise as heartbreaking as it is, give the women of Afghanistan Your Spirit, of love, power and sound mind, make them wise, creative as they are courageous, give them Your plan as You fight on their behalf and in Jesus name Lord bind lawlessness, those spirits of religion and hate and death that keep so many captive, loose Your Holy Spirit in the streets and deepest core of hearts to be open to real truth and virtue, break the hearts of Taliban men and women to come to You Jesus as Savior, to make restitution to those they have wronged and to work on building a real country for all people there.
