Being in the presence of Jesus is my most passionate desire and delight! After fighting the battle in intercession, basking in His love and presence restores my soul and brings new life so I can continue on to fight the battle! Oh, how I love Jesus!
Your Presence is my weapon pushing back the darkness
Worship is my weapon is a declaration that my GOD reigns and that he is in control. When we worship in times of trouble we are singing; God I know you got this. We can be still and not worry, we can glorify God and all that he is.
“Your Presence is my greatest weapon, pushing back the darkness, breaking every chain. My worship opens up the Heaven, crushing every stronghold when I speak Your name.” as well as the declarations based on the Word
I’m reminded of the following: 1) God is enthroned upon (inhabits) the praises of His people, 2) Judah went first into battle, and 3) How the Grinch Stole Christmas.
I believe it’s imperative that we turn our focus to the Lord. As we press in to pray, let us not forget to praise Him – for what He is doing and what He has already done (in our past & future). May we never cease to glorify and worship Him and to lift our eyes to where our help comes from (Ps 121).
This is truly a Spiritual battle that is manifest in so many ways in the natural. As we ‘armor’ up, let’s not forget to allow our praise to go before us.
I always remember the Grinch’s confusion when he heard the Who’s start singing down there in Whoville. While this is obviously not some remarkable or learned biblical statement, I like to imagine the confusion on the Enemy’s faces as they’ve hurled their confusion, fear, chaos, violence, etc.. into the nation/world and at us yet we just keep on singing. Every single day. N
o matter what we continue to sing praises to the Lord for His goodness, for His protection, for His purpose/plan, etc. And, as we sing, we continue to stand firm and declare the Word into the situation despite what it may look like in the natural.
Crushing every stronghold when I speak Your name
My favorite-Your presence is my weapon. In His presence is fullness of joy, it doesn’t get much better than that! Psalm 16:8,9. Love how it reads in Passion Bible. Beautiful song, thanks for sharing this reminder especially at this time.
