New York State Attorney General Letitia James announced that she was seeking to dissolve the National Rifle Association, claiming members of the storied gun rights group have engaged in sustained financial fraud and misuse of the organization’s funds.
James said at a press conference that an investigation into the company’s finances over the last 18 months revealed tens of millions of dollars in illegally misappropriated funds.

The attorney general cited a total of 18 actionable causes against the organization, which is headquartered in New York and thus falls under her jurisdiction. . . .
James said that the NRA “has been so powerful that the organization went unchecked for decades while top executives funneled millions into their own pockets.”
“The NRA is fraught with fraud and abuse, which is why, today, we seek to dissolve the NRA, because no organization is above the law,” the statement continued.
The National Rifle Associated has long been seen as one of the most powerful civil rights organizations in the country, tapping into the centuries-old, widespread American cultural affinity for gun rights. Republican candidates have long sought the NRA’s endorsements, while failing grades from the organization have often had strongly negative effects on anti-gun candidates’ political prospects.
Asked about the allegations and the lawsuit on Thursday, meanwhile, President Trump told supporters: “I think the NRA should move to Texas.”

If there has been true fraud committed. Proper accountability should be applied. I don’t have much hope that true accountability could happen in New York.
I question the legistimacy of her remarks. I thik they should move to Texas and they should anwer her charges. Get an Audit and show the truth! I do not believe her.

She is as foolish as most democrats and is only trying to gain a higher position . When they look at all the gun laws an see that they do not stop the killing and then look at their own record of abortion perhaps they will wake up and realize that they can not mock God and win.

We are observing the tyrannical abuse of governmental authority in this attack on one of, if not the most powerful advocate for the preservation of the 2nd amendment, the NRA! It’s an indication of just how bold the enemy has become! Like Goliath standing and challenging the Israelite army, it’s a similar challenge. With bullying tactics, declaring unproven accusations as the rules, rules which THEY themselves break consistently! This counterfeit AG flaunts a feigned regard for the fraudulent use of finances in a bold attempt to pull strength from unified peaceful gun owners and disarm the populous. – Meanwhile, disrespect for the Constitution, law and order and individual rights is being promoted throughout their ranks via open war-like riots which they refuse to condemn, their cause funded by those who’s goal it is to gain control of and destroy this bastion of freedom, The United States of America by any fraudulent means imagined!
