HOW THE BIBLE ADDRESSES RACISM
Robert Morris believes the reason America still has a problem with racism is due, in part, to the church. The pastor of Gateway Church in Dallas, Texas addressed his congregation several years ago on Sunday, October 15, 2017, and discussed the country’s ongoing racial tension then. Tragically, his message is just as timely today as it was then. . . .
Morris then employs a water bottle to explain the havoc misunderstanding is wreaking on the nation. Holding the bottle up, with its brand logo facing the audience, Morris asks “What word do you see?” The congregation replies with the brand name. Then Morris, looking from his perspective, tells them “I don’t see that. The word…is not on this side.”
The climax of his practical illustration about racial tension lies in these words: “I’ll never see what you see until I take the time to walk around the bottle.” . . .

Truth’s From the Bible about racism:
In his sermon, Morris states there are 7 reasons that racism is “pure sin.”
1. Racism is pure evil.
2. Racism is pure self-righteousness.
3. Racism violates the Great Commission.
4. Racism violates the Great Commandment.
5. Racism questions God’s creation.
6. Racism questions God’s plan.
7. Racism questions God.

I have sat in and listened to Louis Farrakhan and also John Carlos. I had black roomates in college (3) and none of them agreed with the essential radical nature of what was proposed by Farrakhan, but I at least sat in and listened. I was amazed when Farrakhan welcomed all his Black and Spanish “brothers and sisters” but left out any welcome for White people. My friends told me it was because he was racist. Beware of becoming racist in your quest against racism. Jesus talked of removing logs before removing specks and the like. I have the foundation of love (not tolerance) for all people in my life and after living with black roommates, housemates and “hearing their pain,” my answer is closer to Denzel Washington’s, each person has the opportunity to avoid evil and choose good, to paraphrase, and 3 or the 4 close friends (both of my best friends) are successful and make more money than I do, while they have brothers from the same parents, who all grew up in the same area and went to the same high schools that are, “part of the problem not the solution.” Let’s ask the lies that Trump’s racist (Jerome Adams and Ben Carson don’t think so), or all whites are racist stops. I am from a northern state and my family from non-slave holding countries. Recently I was accused of loving the confederate flag because I support Trump. God we submit to You resist the devil and James says he has to flee in Jesus’ name

Great message!
Lord may we all seek You for reconciliation. Open our eyes to understand and be humble enough to understand the hurts, views and feelings of others especially someone from another color or background or view. Help us to honor Your truth in this. In Jesus name. Amen
