The song, according to a source to ESPN, will be played prior to the Star-Spangled-Banner.

According to ESPN:

Early last month, commissioner Roger Goodell in a video admitted that the league had erred in how it handled peaceful NFL player protests of police brutality and systemic oppression. Goodell condemned racism and affirmed that Black lives matter, pledging his allegiance to the players in the battle for equal justice under the law.

Also in June, the league revealed plans to increase its social justice footprint by pledging to donate $250 million over a 10-year period.

The league hopes its efforts demonstrate ‘a genuine commitment to the public, players and coaches and that player voices continue to be heard,’ the source wrote in a text message. ‘This is key to educating fans, and becoming a prominent voice in the fight to end racism.’

Editor’s Note: The NFL is now considering things such as listing the names of victims of police brutality on their uniforms.

absolutely we are being brainwashed , Christians hang on tight to what Gods word says about last days . Don’t be deceived . Gods word is true now and always has been . It is not about to change in spite of what the world would have us to believe . God is true to his word . He is the same yesterday ,today ,and forever . Hebrews 13:8 and He goes on to say “I change not” Dear hearts get a grip . God will get the victory , he always gets the victory , Always has ,always will . Hold on tight it going to get rougher . Brace yourself , brace yourself , brace yourself . Remember he said “I will never leave you or forsake you” Chin up saints , Lift up your heads your redemption is drawing near .

this song is racist and divides and not bring people together. it’s amazing that they call this the black national anthem because they probably don’t know it’s origin. this song was written and song at abraham lincolin’s birthday. so they want to tear down his statues but are going to sing a song written for his birthday. Lord we bind that spirit of division that’s running rampart in this country and we loose peace and harmony and may Your love abound in the hearts of men and women.

What I hear and see is one of two things. Either these hi-profile well/known politicians, or leaders of sports etc, are completely duped by the media or they are a part of bringing our country down. Either way they are not patriots but uninformed and naive. BLM have an anti/American agenda. The citizenry had better wake up!!

The words are actually God-honoring. I see nothing wrong with the anthem lyrics. It’s patriotic and Christian. The only concern I would have is that it divides us into two populaces with two different anthems. Our national anthem is not very Christian in comparison to the black national anthem; however, can something that sounds good be used for ill purposes? I pray not. I pray people will come to the Lord through this song, that the enemy WILL NOT have his way to cause more strife, that the Father will be glorified, and that He will shine light on any abuse of the patriotism of the song and the unity of all believers under Christ. Amen.

The Black National Anthem Lyrics

Song title: Lift ev’ry voice and sing
Also known as: The Black National Anthem
Also known as: The Negro National Anthem

Lift ev’ry voice and sing,
Till earth and heaven ring.
Ring with the harmonies of Liberty;
Let our rejoicing rise,
High as the list’ning skies,
Let it resound loud as the rolling sea.
Sing a song full of the faith that the dark past has taught us,
Sing a song full of the hope that the present has brought us;
Facing the rising sun of our new day begun,
Let us march on till victory is won.

Stony the road we trod,
Bitter the chast’ning rod,
Felt in the days when hope unborn had died;
Yet with a steady beat,

Have not our weary feet,
Come to the place for which our fathers sighed?
We have come over a way that with tears has been watered,
We have come, treading our path through the blood of the slaughtered,
Out from the gloomy past,
Till now we stand at last
Where the bright gleam of our bright star is cast.

God of our weary years,
God of our silent tears,
Thou who has brought us thus far on the way;
Thou who has by Thy might,
Led us into the light,
Keep us forever in the path, we pray.
Lest our feet stray from the places, our God, where we met Thee,
Lest our hearts, drunk with the wine of the world, we forget Thee,
Shadowed beneath thy hand,
May we forever stand,
True to our God,
True to our native land.

It would seem relevant somewhere that a distinction be made between the mercenaries who are being paid to foment trouble, including making our President uncomfortable and those of every race including the handicapped!!who have legitimate issues that need to be addressed.

Lord Jesus forgive our nation for putting a pleasure before worshiping YOU!
I have long been saddened that there are more folks cheering a football team on Sunday’s than honoring going to worship first. Guide our hearts , minds and actions to put YOU first, as an example to others.
This NFL division can work out to be a good thing to be with families in a more Godly environment. Spending our special day with peaceful activities instead of troubling unrest , stirred up by greedy activists.
Let us as a nation stay strong to freedoms of all, not just a few who seek fame. There are so many Americans that do not see color of skin, maybe attitude. Our National Anthem is a valuable part of our history, if we destroy it there’s nothing left to Treasure or bring tears to your eyes as we remember that historic song, and watch the flag blowing in the sky.

Save us Lord , we desperately need Your help!!

Thank you Lord for showing us continually what is important to the NFL. They have become a very good example of what it looks like to be “people pleasers” instead of standing on the foundations of what really matters for our lives. Thank you for exposing that political corrrectness is more important to the NFL than listening to the concerns of their fan base. You have allowed & continue to allow us Lord to see who their leaders really are.
Lord, you continue to show us that we can spend our hours on other things that are worthwhile & will have eternal value instead of wasting it in front of the tv watching a sport that does not care about eternal things

How about posting black lives taken by black criminals, gangs, Antifa, rioters, in neighborhoods, on the streets, CHOP, businesses destroyed, etc. Those innocent black victims matter but are not taken by police! Who stands up for them? Where is the outrage for them? Where is the call for unity and protection for them? Is it all black lives or only the ones that provide political impact and media agenda? We must pray for complete justice, not just convenient justice. Yes, black lives do matter — all of them. Praying for the healing of their lives and the fabric of our nation….and sing the National Anthem with a heart for all.

Instead, they should print the names of all the policemen who have been killed in the line of duty!

We are one nation under God. There us only one national anthem. This ” other anthem” brings division. God calls us to unity. Therefore I believe this is not of God but a scheme if the enemy.
