I Prayed have prayed
Lord, open our eyes to see beyond the facade of what is said to us and see with eyes of the spirit to recognize the truth from a lie.
Reading Time: 2 minutes

My head jerked around in shock as I heard the words of Target Chairman and CEO, Brian Cornell.

“Safety is going to be more and more important. We want to make sure we’re coupling being the easiest place to shop in America with being the safest place to shop,” Cornell said on Yahoo Finance’s, The First Trade.  (www.finance.yahoo.com)

“You must be kidding me!” I exclaimed out loud.

My mind went back a few years. I remember it as if it were yesterday.  It was April 2016; my granddaughter was five years old at the time.

While watching the news I heard a report that Target stores were enforcing new bathroom rules.  Upon hearing these new rules, I thought…this can’t be true.

I was wrong.

April 19th, 2016 Target Corporate put out a press release stating…

We believe that everyone—every team member, every guest, and every community—deserves to be protected from discrimination and treated equally. Consistent with this belief, Target supports the federal Equality Act, which provides protections to LGBT individuals, and opposes action that enables discrimination.

In our stores, we demonstrate our commitment to an inclusive experience in many ways. Most relevant for the conversations currently underway, we welcome transgender team members and guests to use the restroom or fitting room facility that corresponds with their gender identity.  www.Corporate.target.com

Prior to this, my daughter and I loved to shop at Target.  It was one of our favorite places.  I had always felt we were safe there.  However, with that proclamation, any feeling of safety at Target was destroyed. That day women, and especially boys and girls became targets.

In unbelief, I went to my phone and called Target Corporate offices to inquire about the change.  “Yes, it’s true,” I was informed.

“Let me get this straight,” I shockingly asked.  “A man who says he is a transgender can go into the same restroom as my five-year-old grandchild and there is nothing I can do about it.”

“That is correct,” He proudly informed me.

“Do you realize you are opening the door for pedophiles and even worse?”  I questioned in disbelief.

“That’s our stand.”  He stated again.

Fast forward to the current statement from Target’s CEO.

The Bible says, A double-minded man, unstable in all his ways.  (James 1:8)

This same company, who made it unsafe for all children in their stores, are now declaring they want it to be the safest place to shop in America.  Has the world gone mad?  Do they think we have forgotten?  It has not been a safe place to shop since 2016.

While many other people stopped shopping at Target over the enforced inclusive restroom guidelines, gradually they returned to the store despite the fact that nothing changed in their guidelines. However, we have not. The bathrooms and their guidelines remain unsafe.

My cry in this hour is that God will open our eyes. May we see beyond the façade of what is said to us and see with eyes of the spirit to recognize the truth from a lie.

Is Target really the safest place in America? You tell me.

i don’t shop target’s for that reason and also because they give millions to planned parenthood. i am pro life and don’t want my tax dollars going to planned parenthood why would i spend my hard earned money at stores that do. if you can’t feel safe or fear for the safety of your children. grandchildren or great grandchildren or even for yourself it’s not worth the shopping trip. there are other stores that i can shop at.

I agree with you. I have not shopped at Target since 2016 when they made their bathroom policy. I do not want my grandchildren to be unsafe in the restroom.

I have not shopped at Target nor will I ever. When they made the bathroom “transgender” I started praying against the evil & I continue to pray against the evil. May God tear them down!!!

I am in total agreement with Kim Potter. I remember full well reading in our local newspaper of Target’s decision to open restrooms as well as fitting rooms to anyone of any gender preference. Disbelief was my initial response but reality soon set in. Target stores were my family’s favorite place to shop before this decision. I too, contacted by email, Target’s corporate headquarters and expressed my concerns and thoughts in a firm but respectful manner. I never received a response. Our family has not stepped foot in a Target store from that time forward and we will not until this policy is revoked.

If you must shop at Target please don’t use restroom with stalls or dressing rooms. Those areas are not safe. Even after the discovery of holes in the walls between stalls where women and children had been videoed, Target refuses to change their policy. Their worship of the god of transgender comes before the safety of their customers.

Back up! “If you must shop at Target”

So if I apply the same logic to the rest of my life, If I must means I will go anywhere to get anything I want.

    Crazy!

Target, Home Depot, ahh! Corporate America! Such a Conundrum! The spiritual battle over buying & selling, Marketplace held captive!

All this is the Progressive push to rewrite America, the lefts work around legislation. Sad indeed.

Remember back in the early 80’s businesses began establishing “mission statements”? Corporate purpose statements? Posting them for all who entered? The ‘New Agers’ were quietly redirecting the purpose of Marketplace activity, establishing their one world participation.

We are slow to forget that New Age philosophies are anti-christ in nature and have one goal.

After Target went down that path the Sodomy spirit was thick and repulsive, nauseating. For a season I stopped shopping there altogether, yet being lead by the Holy Spirit, being in the world and not of the world, I was able to prayerfully shop there occasionally knowing that I could grow in love for the lost, and not be tainted. Not for everyone.

I am challenged daily to live out the Gospel in mt life, to be transformed into a living epistle of the Hope that lives within me!

TY for your comment; I believe I had actually gone *years* not stepping a foot in Target and one day realized my heart harbored wrong things. I still won’t go unless it’s the last stop to do what I believe the L_RD has for me to do & no other place of business has what I need. *I too prayerfully go in so my heart doesn’t harden. Jesus sat with sinners.

Amen! He who has ears to hear! Give us this day our daily Manna! The cloud by day and pillar of fire by night! Blessings!

Haven’t been to Target since they wouldn’t allow Salvation Army to stand outside the door at Christmas and accept donations for the poor and needy in our communities. Do not remember what year that was but we have been just fine without shopping there.
