Sometimes when I’m thinking about current events and prophecy, I ask myself this question:
If I was Satan, what would I currently be doing to advance my cause on the earth?
This week I applied this question to our current pandemic of coronavirus and came up with a rather startling observation.
For some reason, this particular virus does not seem to be attacking children or the younger generation (unless they are already immune-compromised.) Isn’t that interesting? We have a disease poised to kill those in the senior generation before their time.
An evolutionist might claim that this is just a “natural event” designed to thin out the population. But why such a target toward those 60 and above? Is that coincidence? Only science?
What would be the net effect of let’s say 3, 5, 7 or 15 % of our senior generation leaving the earth prematurely? Apply that question specifically to the United States.
The senior generation is holding the conservative political line in America while the younger generation is chasing progressivism. What happens if they are not here to vote?
The senior generation is still the backbone of Christian orthodoxy in America while the younger generation [is largely pursuing progressive agendas and viewpoints]. What happens if their stabilizing voice of wisdom and maturity is weakened?
The senior generation controls a good deal of nonprofit giving and endowment. What happens if they miss several key years when they would have been funding the Gospel?
Yes, those that are 60 and above will be going to heaven sooner than later. But we don’t want them to go ahead of their time until they are finished with their assignment here on the earth! They are valuable!
So…if you were the devil, what would you do? If you wanted to accelerate the ideological shift, wouldn’t it be handy to get rid of that generation and their annoying resistance to change?
As believers, we realize that we do not war against flesh and blood – and we realize that the devil is roaming around trying to work his stealing, killing, and destroying on the earth.
I say coronavirus is a part of his grand scheme. I cannot explain it all, and neither can anyone else this side of heaven. But I do not believe it passes the John 10:10 test. Coronavirus does not give life and life more abundantly; it is definitely stealing, killing, and destroying!
And so we know what to do as Bible-believing, blood-bought believers: we stand on the Word. We plead the blood of Jesus. We press Satan back into his corner and disallow his destruction in our midst.
And we do everything we can in the natural to walk in the wise health practices of quarantine and separation that God gave even the children of Israel during times of plagues and outbreaks!
Satan is a defeated foe!
So today I declare that, as for me and my house, we will not fear. We say that no weapon that is fashioned against my generation and the generation ahead of me will prosper. We will finish our course strong on earth. And even if we have to spend some time in quarantine to arrest this virus, I know God can use that time to bring about spiritual renewal.

Yes. I have thought the same thing. However as a senior I am not giving my life to him. My life is for Jesus. I pray the blood over us every day. I pray our shelter under His wings. I know my God. He is life and love. I declare His love over all people, but especially over us as seniors. I know my God and He is hovering over us taking care of us as we do our part to stay protected. I do not fear I operate out of concern because of those that don’t take this serious. They are not operating out of wisdom, but God gives us wisdom and knowledge. I call upon the Lord every day to give me wisdom to do what I have to and to not do what we don’t have to. The blood of Jesus is life and power to us. I live under the blood. Hallelujah to the precious Lamb of God, my Lord and Savior. Glory to You Lord of life and love, and salvation. We love you Lord and Glorify you. We exalt you Lord. Be glorified in our lives. The devil is a defeated foe and has no place in our nation or our lives. Glory, hallelujah. Praise Him in all things through all things whether hard or easy we will praise you at all times.

The churches are not panicking. They are following
government guidelines for controlling a pandemic outbreak. People should stay home when sick, as a general rule. But many Christians feel they should be “brave” and go to church anyway, spreading their germs abroad. My mother who died at age 97 told me about the smallpox epidemic, how people were quarantined to their homes if they had it. No one was allowed to go near the place & some houses were burned if someone died there. Quarantine has been going on for many years regarding disease control when there is no vaccine to combat one. Measles,mumps, chickenpox, rubella, whooping cough were all fatal diseases before vaccines. Children were quarantined at home until all signs of the disease was gone. Today the majority of people aren’t even aware of these facts. I lived it, so I know. Today children are immunized against disease & people don’t have a clue what it was like without vaccine. Believing in GOD to heal is the very best thing. But, HE tells us to “be as wary as serpents.” A snake always feels the air with his tongue to check for danger before he ever ventures out of his hole. Being wise is not being a coward.
There is a direct correlation to hatred and Covid19.. G_d is ‘spherical’, not linear, we must think spiritually, not humanly
God always preserves a remnant. He did this with the children of Israel. He also used quarantine to protect His people. The children of Israel under Moses leadership had a stay in home order from God when the death angel moved through Egypt with the final plague. They had the protection of God with the lambs blood on the doorposts. Believers have the protection of God with His Word, the precious shed blood of Jesus, and the Holy Spirit’s guidance. We pray for God’s provision, leading and guidance, safety, and healing at this time. We thank God for all His attributes, gifts of the Spirit, redemption in Jesus’s death and resurrection, and His protection. We all pass through time toward eternity. The Bible said the last days would be perilous. Remember God is the Victor and Reigns over all, even Lucifer and his angels. May God bless His children with wisdom. May his children have obedience to those He set in authority over them. May His children give thanksgiving and praise to God in all circumstances and at all times. Amen
What Satan intends for evil, GOD USES for good! I believe this is to awaken the church from being lukewarm and forgetting her first love.Satan has robbed,killed and destroyed some people by this virus before they have accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as their savior. So disappointed in the churches (including my own) that are closing their doors during a time like this. What a terrible message that you are sending to society that your fear is bigger than your faith. People need sound minded truth more than ever right now and a place to go to find comfort for their souls during scary times. Shameful to buy into mass hysteria when it is the duty of the church to be a refuge in times of crisis. Whatever happened to separation of church and state?? Jesus exposed Himself to leprosy and much more dangerous communicable diseases than this negligible virus.
I think you are The church that is observing the quarantine and switching to online church is being wise.
We have the authority in Jesus to pray for a swift end and swift recovery from this crisis just as much as the authority to claim the blood of Jesus over our health. Instead of loathing this response and arguing about who is right, we should be praying.

Christians in other countries besides America are being killed daily for their faith. Here in America We are busily cancelling church services and cowering over a stupid virus. I would say satan doesn’t have to work very hard to get us to fall. This is the stupidest obsession i have ever seen. The stores are stripped of TOILET PAPER and people are causing global shortages because of their stupidity. Sorry … I’m not on board. I’m disgusted at the worldwide cowardice. I hope the United States doesn’t ever have a REAL PROBLEM besides a VIRUS that isn’t even as bad as the swine flu. Why didn’t we panic with the swine flu? Because OBAMA was president and the demonic media protected everything he did. Millions infected thousands died, barely a whimper out not any of us. Now here we are, cowering in our homes cancelling church services. WAKE UP
Yes, I agree! This is stupid that everyone is agreeing with the C-19 instead of stopping it with our authority as BELIEVERS. Greater is He in us than he that is in the world! I do my part every day since this began. Where are the prayer warriors? We don’t have to beg God. He’s the God Who heals us! Jesus is our Advocate & our Redeemer. When we don’t believe this, He died for nothing.
People stop believing the prince of the power of the air & BELIEVE the Truth, the Word, the Cross, God’s love for us & take the Name of Jesus & His Blood to protect you. They are powerful
Thank you for your reply. The churches across America are closing tomorrow because the government said so. However the casinos across America remain open. The persecuted Church across the world who put up with daily sometimes brutal sacrifices deserve better from the church in America.

We stand against evil through our relationship with the son and the power of prayer and God’s word. The weapons we fight with are not the weapons of the world. We fight with the word of God through prayers and asking Him for wisdom to have faith and to look to Jesus through our faith in Him and asking Him for protection to help us stay well. If some of us do not make it through this storm do not fear or say
Satan Is taking our lives. Christ is in control and will be with us and will take us home to be with Him when he is ready for us. When Jesus returns for His Church as Christians we have committed our lives to Christ. Are you ready to leave this world in the twinkling of an eye. If you are not today is the day of salvation and to turn to Christ and commit your life to Christ while you have the opportunity. Jesus is the rock and the Holy Spirit will direct you if you listen for His voice and His instructions on what we are to do to be protected. Be smart and keep to yourself for the days required to save lives which might be your life and the lives of others. Quarantine yourself for 14 days if you are sick and don’t go out and give it to others. We are praying and we hope you are.

Follow immediately what to do if you or any member of your family comes down sick! Don’t wait. Keep the temperature down in your home. Wear an extra shirt to stay warm. Labs and areas of the hospital keep their temperature. Down in order to keep germs down. Get plenty of sleep, Vitamin C. Eat healthy. Wash your hands.

Your observation may have merit but I would add another observation.
The senior population being taken by the Corona Virus have COMPROMISED immune systems. Let that soak in. Is this a modern day parable unfolding before us?
There once was a generation of Believers who instead of being followers of God thought they could become like God themselves. With unnatural proclivities of compromise they allowed their minds to be corrupted and stained by humanism. Their minds became OPEN to corrupt interpretations of God’s law and they continually questioned, “Did God really say?” In the hands of unbelief half truths were made to do the work of whole falsehoods and an idolatrous nation was in lockstep with with a false leader.
Thank God for His unfolding word that brings life to a lost world. May the young generation be instructed by their parents as they rise up and as they walk along the way. PARENTS, it’s time to grow up! Be set free from the lies of previous generations that walked in idolatry proclaiming a false PEACE and free love. The love of many had grown cold and without a voice of conviction. Lord, I pray your lost will separate right from wrong in the move of your Holy Spirit which speaks truth to every situation. Let not this generation be COMPROMISED. amen
I have COPD which I am trusting the Lord to heal. Yes I have been prayed for by the elders of my church and my husband and it has not advanced as the Dr. said it would. I have no fear of the corona-19 virus or any or other disease. I refuse to let it keep me from Church, thank God for a pastor who is not closing the doors. I take the precaution of staying behind people who are coughing and washing my hands and face. I live in a rural area and staying out of grocery stores is not an option for me. No one short of ordering online is going to deliver to my door, and that is not a good option for me either.
I trust my God 100% and know that He knows the number of my days. I’ve had opportunity to pray with people I have not known before. It is amazing how they open up when you ask, is there anything I can pray with you for.
I say don’t miss the opportunity we have now to share. People are desperate for an answer to their fears. We know Jesus and we know He is he answer. Take precautions, yes, but don’t let fear drive you!
Satan means this for evil, but God means it for His kingdom! We are here for such a time as this.

Verna, my comments were directed at spiritual compromise primarily. But certainly the enemy understands attacking the physical body with compromising illnesses. To this, and to your COPD, I rebuke any foul spirits that see to rob you of the commission God has given you. By faith, move out in the direction God calls you to.
