Just days after an election that stunned the nation, intercessors gathered for yesterday’s First Friday webcast to fast, pray, and hear from a guest IFA President/CEO David Kubal says he has followed for years: Jennica Pounds, the data analyst known on X as DataRepublican.

Pounds, who has served on the DOGE team and as a data analyst for the Department of War, has more than a million followers on X. She has spent the past several weeks releasing what she calls the Democracy Files, a massive cache of recordings and documents she says reveals plans by a network of left-wing activists to delegitimize President Trump and restructure American government. But as the conversation unfolded, it became clear that the story behind those files, and behind Pounds herself, is one of God’s providence.

God Is Still Sovereign

Kubal opened the call by addressing the election results, which he said gave the progressive movement far more ground than anyone anticipated. He urged intercessors to reject simple explanations for the outcome and to remember who is still on the throne. Pointing to Daniel 2:21, which declares that God “removes kings and sets up kings,” he noted that Daniel wrote those words while living under a pagan empire.

“Political power changes hands, but God’s sovereignty does not,” Kubal said.

He explained the difference between God’s perfect will, revealed in Scripture as the protection of life, marriage between one man and one woman, and righteous government, and His permissive will, which allows people to make choices contrary to His commands. Drawing on 1 Samuel 8, where Israel demanded a king and God allowed them to bear the consequences, Kubal reminded listeners, “What God permits is not necessarily what he approves.” Yet what God permits, he added, He can use and redeem. A Discovery Only God Could Arrange

Pounds told Kubal she saw the election results coming two weeks out, once in-person voting began. By her modeling, as much as a fifth of the electorate were first-time voters, and they broke Democratic by 44 points. She said Republicans spent heavily on television ads and consultants, while Democrats invested in a pipeline of hyper-local, often taxpayer-funded nonprofits that mobilize voters and build a sense of belonging in their communities.

The heart of the conversation, though, was the Democracy Files. According to Pounds, the files center on a group of roughly 300 former USAID workers who, she says, are now turning the tactics once used to remake foreign governments on the United States. She described them coordinating with governors and with the openly Marxist wing of the Democratic Socialists of America on plans to delegitimize President Trump and make state governors the highest recognized authority. Summarizing the files, Kubal said the group’s stated goals include a unicameral government, an expanded House role in choosing the president, and an end to judicial review. Pounds said one recording captures participants rehearsing how to answer reporters’ questions about funding, laughing at the claim that the effort is “all organic,” before one admits it involves 200 networks and 1,200 organizations.

Kubal called the discovery itself miraculous. “I just think it’s simply a miracle by the hand of God,” he said, pointing out that the participants forgot to turn off their AI recorder and that Pounds was the one who found it.

Pounds agreed, explaining that the timing was perfect. Much of the most incriminating material was recorded within the last two months, so if she had found the files even a month earlier, she would have missed it. The cache took her three days to download, totaling about 350 gigabytes of videos and documents.

“It was just perfect timing as well, that the Lord put this in my lap,” Pounds said. “Honestly, it was amazing providence and a miracle. Praise to God.”

A Miraculous Conversion and a Costly Calling

Kubal then asked Pounds why she does this work. Her answer was a testimony of God’s pursuit.

Pounds came to faith in Christ in late 2019, saying her research “showed me what I really needed.” At the time she was an engineer in big tech, where she felt she had to stay silent about the gospel or lose her job. She begged God to rescue her. Then, in the middle of the 2020 Black Lives Matter unrest, God spoke to her in a dream.

In the dream, she came to a fork in the road. One path offered safety but few heavenly rewards. The other offered many heavenly rewards but no safety. When she asked God whether she could have both, she heard a voice answer. “I’m 100 percent deaf, but I’m telling you I heard a voice,” Pounds said. The voice told her, “Well, you chose the hard way.”

She found herself on an island with a great storm approaching. As she dug for safety, she uncovered gemstones and hurled them into the storm, and palm trees sprang up around her for protection. Her pastor helped her understand the dream: the storm represented evil, the gemstones were Scripture, and the palm trees were righteous people God would send to protect her.

That calling has come at a price. Pounds, who is deaf and nonverbal and spoke through an interpreter, said she can never return to big tech. After she was doxxed, she moved her children out of state and began homeschooling them. Still, she remains resolute. “God will withdraw his protection from me the moment I stop preaching the gospel,” she said. “I know that of every fiber of my being.”

Kubal closed by praying Isaiah 54:17 over Pounds and her family, that no weapon formed against her would prosper.

Praying Forward

Pounds warned that she believes the next two years “will be the most politically difficult and tumultuous times that we have ever seen in our lifetimes.” She urged intercessors to pray for wisdom, restraint, and peace, so the administration does not take the bait she says these groups are setting.

Let’s thank God for His hand on Jennica Pounds, for drawing her to Himself, calling her, and placing this information in her path at just the right moment. Let’s pray for protection over her, her husband, and her children, and that He would continue to surround her with the righteous people He promised. Let’s pray that every plan to overturn our constitutional order would be exposed and fail, and that President Trump and his administration would respond with wisdom and restraint. And let’s pray that the church in America would remember that God has not surrendered His authority over this nation, and that what He permits, He will redeem.
