I Prayed have prayed
God, we ask You to continue to expose the truth about Dr. Fauci and the COVID pandemic. Bring justice and accountability where they are sorely needed.

Sen. Ron Johnson (R-WI) is calling for a “COVID reckoning,” arguing that Americans still have not received a full accounting of the government’s pandemic response. As his investigators continue reviewing a massive collection of records, Johnson says exposing what officials knew, what they did, and how they made their decisions is essential to restoring public trust.

From Breitbart:

Johnson said public exposure may be the most significant form of accountability because criminal prosecutions would be difficult. He accused officials of avoiding written records and destroying emails that could have documented their actions.

“They didn’t leave much of a trail,” Johnson said. “They learned how to destroy emails. They didn’t memorialize things in emails. They’re not that stupid. So it’s going to be difficult.”

Johnson said his staff is reviewing roughly one million pages of material and continues to uncover information from new devices. He said investigators are organizing the records rather than releasing them all at once.

Johnson has spent years investigating the federal government’s response to COVID-19, including the origins of the virus, federal public health guidance, vaccine safety, and the actions of former National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Director Dr. Anthony Fauci. With Republicans controlling the Senate, Johnson has gained greater ability to pursue records and testimony that he says were previously withheld from Congress.

The Wisconsin senator indicated that his investigators are deliberately holding back some documents while conducting witness interviews. According to Johnson, releasing everything immediately could allow witnesses to tailor their testimony based on what investigators already know. Instead, his team is attempting to organize the evidence and build a coherent account for the American public.

Fauci remains a central figure in Johnson’s investigation. The senator has accused the former NIAID director of supporting risky research involving coronaviruses and misleading Americans about the origins of COVID-19. Questions surrounding U.S.-funded research at the Wuhan Institute of Virology and the possibility that COVID-19 emerged through a laboratory-related incident have continued long after officials and media organizations initially dismissed or downplayed the lab-leak theory.

Johnson has also scrutinized federal officials’ handling of COVID-19 vaccines and information about potential adverse events. His investigations have sought communications involving Fauci and other senior public health officials as lawmakers examine how decisions were made during a period when sweeping policies affected schools, businesses, churches, workplaces, and individual medical choices.

Johnson acknowledged that establishing criminal liability may prove difficult, particularly if investigators cannot recover documentation showing precisely what officials knew or intended. But he argued that accountability does not depend solely on prosecution. In his view, bringing hidden information into the public record and correcting what he considers a false narrative surrounding government officials can itself represent a meaningful form of accountability.

The senator’s call for a “COVID reckoning” raises questions that extend beyond any one official. The pandemic gave government agencies extraordinary influence over everyday American life, making transparency about the decisions of those agencies especially important. As investigators continue examining the records, let’s pray that the truth about the government’s pandemic response is fully brought to light, that wrongdoing is exposed wherever it occurred, and that our leaders have the wisdom and courage to ensure the mistakes of those years are not repeated.
