As Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu prepares to attend the United Nations General Assembly in September, the Democratic mayoral nominee Zohran Mamdani considers arresting Netanyahu during his U.N. visit to New York City.

While New York City’s mayor has no authority over U.S. foreign policy, Mamdani says he is exploring what legal options may exist if Netanyahu visits the city.

“I believe that Prime Minister Netanyahu belongs in The Hague,” Mamdani told The New York Times, referring to the United Nations’ International Court of Justice.
Mamdani has been overridden twice in recent months by the U.S. State Department for trying to deal with foreign leaders but remains firm on the question of arresting Netanyahu.
He said he was in “an active conversation” with the New York City Law Department about arresting Israel’s leader.
Mamdani has argued that Netanyahu should face accountability over the ongoing war in Gaza, pointing to charges issued by the International Criminal Court (ICC). Israel rejects those accusations, and the United States is not a party to the ICC.
The Israeli leader dismissed Mamdani’s comments, arguing that Israel remains the Middle East’s only democracy and accusing the mayoral candidate of siding with Hamas. Israel’s ambassador to the United Nations, Danny Danon, also criticized Mamdani, saying Netanyahu would come to New York to address the U.N. “with pride” and defend Israel’s right to protect its citizens.
President Donald Trump previously addressed the possibility of any attempt to detain Netanyahu, saying he would intervene if necessary. New York Gov. Kathy Hochul likewise stated last year that the mayor of New York City does not possess the authority to arrest a foreign head of government.
The issue is likely to receive renewed attention when world leaders gather in New York for the annual U.N. General Assembly this September.
As intercessors, let us pray for protection for Netanyahu, that war in the Middle-East will cease, that Trump will have the wisdom he needs, and that Mamdani’s plans will fail.

Mamdani, the mayor of New York, is ruled by interloping spirits, the spirits behind Islam and Communism, which are antichrist spirits. They are trespassers in this nation. We, as believers, stand on the grounds of the covenant made by our Founding Fathers when they consecrated this land to the Glory of God and the furtherance of the Christian faith! Our national leaders on May 17th, 2026, reaffirmed this covenant, that our nation is under God, and the One true God, of Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and the Lord Jesus Christ. We pray for your strong angelic hedge of protection around him, and declare Is. 54:17 over him, that “no weapon formed against him will prosper, that he will refute every tongue that rises up against him. He advises it is worthwhile to share what He says to me.
This man is taking his cues from the lying devil.
The Lord says that this man is sick. It is not a minor illness and it is
not just the fact that he could have a physical illness and recover.
In positioning himself against Bibi, he has left no doubt whatsoever of where
he stands and has left no room for mercy.
The Lord wants us to relegate this man to the inferior position that his actions
cause and for which there is no doubt as to the source of alleged “power” that
is his.
Watch with Jesus and see the hand of the almighty at work.
This is not something that I ever have done and it is not easy for me to do.
However, the time is short and what we say and do and think is so vitally important.

Lord Jesus, I pray for the peace of Jerusalem. I pray that NOTHING will happen to Netanyahu when he attends the U.N. General Assembly in September. When Hamas attacked Israel in Operation Al-Aqusa Flood their intention was to conquer Jerusalem. They did not just attack the Jewish people, they attacked the New Covenant in the blood of Yeshua. Jeremiah 31.31-40. I knew then that the Sword of YHVH would be released against the IRGC and it’s proxies. Israel appropriately named their counter attack Operation Iron Sword. In other words, I am totally convinced this is God’s War. What He has started He will finish, therefore I am praying for Victory and the overthrow of the IRGC and it’s proxies. “ I will bring evil upon them, even my fierce anger, saith the Lord: and I will send the sword after them, till I have consumed them.” Jeremiah 49.37.

I will pray for Israel because Jesus was a Jew..He lived in Israel, he preached in Israel and he was killed in Israel..by the Romans ..But he also stated that Israel will always be fighting until his (Jesus) return .He also warned the various leaders of Israel about the fighting and peace…Read your Bible and heed the words of Jesus..We as the USA are not “obligated” to the continuous fight that Israel has with others..It IS ..their willing to seek peace..And Jesus spoke about just that..The leaders of Israel were UNWILLING to seek peace..but continue the fight…
In 1999 I had a vivid dream about sand running through an hourglass. The glass structure was supported by stained wood; the upper portion was dark red, the sand white, and the lower base dark blue. As I watched the sand drain into the bottom half of the glass the atmosphere around me grew darker.
By this I knew that time was running out for America, and that immediate and ongoing intercession were needed to reverse our country’s destiny.
The following week my wife Dixie and I mapped out an hourglass-shaped circuit in the Indiana County we lived in at the time. And, during the next year we drove that circuit once a week for a year; interceding in the Spirit as we progressed.
After 9-11 we moved to DC to do our part in the War On Terror as Military Members and conducted similar prayer journeys in the DC and surrounding areas; always asking God to “Awaken America to the
Enemy’s Threats”.
Now, 27 years later we are still at it. And, we are encouraged at the progress intercessors. have made.
We take delight that America is Awakening to threats like Communism and Islam. So, Mamdani’s rise to influence may actually be good; causing ever greater numbers of American Citizens to take note and respond through prayer and social and political reform.
The enemy is revealing his hand. Motivations and schemes are being exposed.
Certainly, God has seen everything progress and is pleased to partner with any of His Children who will respond to His Promptings in whatever way He Directs.
Mamdani and others like him will not succeed in harming Netanyahu or Israel or in thwarting America’s Purposes. President Trump has said so, and He rededicated our nation to God on May 17th on the National Mall. God’s Kingdom is advancing.
I’ll close with this; after moving to DC I bought a bicycle and started riding around the National Mall and principle federal locations once a week for a year, praying in the Spirit just like I had done during the hourglass experience years before.
God was in it too. Every time I went out the roads were clear enough to enable me to complete that week’s journey. I road past the Lincoln and Washington Monuments, the National Capitol Building, the Supreme Court, the White House, the J. Edgar Hoover (FBI) Building, the State Department, and more. Let that settle in; one bike, one intercessor, one week at a time through all kinds of weather.
A disclosure; the determination to do these prayer journeys came from brokenness, not some special gift or character quality. And, Dixie and I are fully aware there are many tens of thousands of intercessors praying in various ways for America – so we are just a small part of a much larger effort.
As for New York City, the thousands of intercessors there are no doubt addressing the issues.
God WILL Prevail and America WILL be Saved. The Third Great Awakening is upon us.

PM Netanyahu is not guilty of any “war crime” as the policy of the nation of Israel is to only respond to their enemies AFTER they attack Israel. Defending the people of any nation is the DUTY of the leadership.
