Intercessory Intelligence: How God Has Kept IFA Ahead of the Curve
There’s a kind of knowing that doesn’t come from a press release.
Scripture tells us that God “reveals deep and hidden things; he knows what lies in darkness, and light dwells with him” (Daniel 2:22). For decades, Intercessors for America has operated on a simple conviction: if God is willing to show His people what’s coming, then part of our job is to listen, dig, verify what we can, and get it into the hands of intercessors — before the world is ready to talk about it.
Visit your state page to pray.
We don’t have a classified clearance. We have something else: a track record of God bringing the right contact, the right document, or the right piece of research across our path at the right time, so our prayer community could stand in the gap on issues years before they became headlines.
China’s Reach Into Our Elections
In 2022, IFA published a special report detailing how Chinese-linked election technology — software like PollChief, built by a company with documented ties to Chinese state education and business networks — had quietly become embedded in election administration across dozens of U.S. counties. It wasn’t mainstream news. It was, frankly, a hard story to get anyone outside our community to take seriously at the time.
This July, President Trump addressed the nation and ordered the declassification of a large trove of intelligence documents describing China’s large-scale acquisition of American voter data and years of alleged suppression of that information within the intelligence community. The specifics are still being sorted out, and it’s a contested, unfolding story — but the broad pattern is the one our intercessors have been praying over since 2022: China does not need an invasion to compromise a nation. Data, software, and patience will do.
A Pattern We Keep Seeing
China’s election ambitions are one thread. They are not the only ones. Across the years, IFA has repeatedly found itself reporting on — and calling intercessors to pray over — issues that had not yet broken into public awareness:
The push to transition children. Long before state legislatures and courts began wrestling publicly with the medical and legal treatment of gender dysphoria in minors, IFA was raising the alarm about the ideology moving through schools, medical associations, and children’s hospitals, and calling the Church to pray for the protection of children and the restoration of parental authority.
Fetal cell lines in vaccine development. IFA reported on the use of cell lines originally derived from aborted fetal tissue in the testing and production of some vaccines — a detail most Americans had never encountered — so believers with a conviction about the sanctity of life could make informed decisions and pray with specificity, rather than encountering the issue for the first time in a moment of pressure. This was even before COVID took place, bringing the safety and process of creating vaccines into the spotlight even more.
The advance of Islam in the West. IFA has tracked the strategic, generational effort to expand Islamic influence in Western nations — culturally, politically, and demographically — years before it became a subject of open political debate, calling intercessors to pray for the protection of religious liberty and the advance of the Gospel in historically resistant regions. IFA created a full 12-page special report on the truth about Islam before we knew that land was being purchased for Islamic communities, more mosques were being built in our cities, and before the mass migration into Europe was happening and unfolding before the eyes of the world.
In each case, the shape is the same: information surfaces through an unlikely contact, a researcher willing to talk, a document nobody else was reading closely, and dots that supernaturally connected through prayer and research— and IFA’s role is to test it, report it responsibly, and hand it to intercessors as a point of prayer long before it’s a point of debate on cable news.
What Intercessors Must Do With It
Advance intel is not given, so we can feel informed. It’s given so we can pray and act before the window has closed.
Scripture doesn’t leave this ambiguous. Habakkuk was told to “write the vision” and make it plain, precisely so that those who read it could run with it (Habakkuk 2:2). Esther was given knowledge of Haman’s plot not so she could privately process it, but so she could go before the king while there was still time to act (Esther 4:14). Advance information that never moves anyone to pray or act is just trivia. That’s not what IFA is for, and it’s not what this ministry hands you these reports for.
So when God brings information across our path early, here’s what that requires of us as intercessors:
Pray specifically, not just generally. Vague prayers match vague information. When we have real details — a company name, a legislative bill, a court case, a scientific claim — we can pray with the precision Scripture models: naming the schemes, naming the people involved, and asking God to expose what’s hidden and protect what’s vulnerable.
Verify before we amplify. Being ahead of the curve only matters if we’re also being careful. Every report IFA publishes is tested, not just passed along. Intercessors are called to discernment, not just alarm — we check sources, hold claims with appropriate confidence, and let the Holy Spirit, not urgency alone, shape how we speak about what we’ve learned. Sometimes people may doubt the information we share because it is not in the mainstream knowledge base, but we see this happen – later, what we had been telling people about comes to be more widely known, or comes to fruition. We are okay with stepping out in faith with what we feel God is leading us to share.
Move from prayer into action where we can. Prayer is where it starts, not where it has to end. That can mean contacting an elected official, supporting a researcher or ministry doing frontline work, informing our local church, or simply making a wiser personal decision because we knew something in time to act on it rather than after the fact.
Stay watchful for the long haul. Advance intel often arrives years before an issue resolves. That means the call isn’t a single urgent prayer session — it’s sustained watching, the kind Jesus described when He told His disciples to “keep watch” (Mark 13:37). Some of what IFA reports on will take years to unfold. Faithfulness means staying in it.
God does not give His people foresight so they can spectate. He gives it so they can stand in the gap before the outcome is decided. That’s the charge that comes with every report like this one — not just to know, but to pray, and then to move.
Why This Matters
We don’t say any of this to claim credit. We say it because it’s evidence of something intercessors need to hear: God is not surprised by any of this, and He is not silent about it either. Ecclesiastes 12:14 promises that God will bring every hidden deed into judgment — including the ones still hidden today. Part of standing in the gap is refusing to wait until an issue is safe or popular to pray about it.
If IFA has been “ahead of the curve” on these issues, it’s not because we’re especially clever. It’s because we’ve tried to stay in a posture of listening to Scripture, to the Holy Spirit, and to the quiet, often unglamorous work of research and relationship that God has used to bring information to our door. Our prayer is that this pattern continues: that God keeps giving this ministry what it needs to equip intercessors to pray with insight, not just urgency.
