Authorities have filed new murder charges against a member of the Zizians, a radical trans cult linked to multiple killings across the United States. Prosecutors allege the latest charges connect the group to the execution-style murders of a Pennsylvania couple, further expanding a case that has drawn national attention because of the organization’s violent ideology and growing list of alleged crimes.

Michelle Zajko, 32, became the fifth Zizian to be charged with murder when prosecutors blamed her for the deaths of Richard Zajko, 71, and Rita Zajko, 68, authorities announced in a news conference relayed by NBC 10.

Prosecutors believe Zajko worked with others to shoot her parents to death in their home in Delaware County in 2022.

“She did not act alone. At this time, we do not know who her co-conspirators were,” Delaware County District Attorney Tanner Rouse told reporters.

According to prosecutors, Michelle Zajko has now been charged with first-degree murder and conspiracy to commit first-degree murder in connection with the deaths of her parents. Authorities allege the killings occurred on December 31, 2022—Zajko’s birthday—after her parents had reportedly attempted to reconcile with their daughter. Investigators believe additional conspirators were involved, though no other suspects have yet been identified in the case.

The charges add to an already extensive investigation into the Zizians, a cult whose members have been linked to multiple violent crimes in several states. The group was founded by Jack “Ziz” LaSota, a transgender blogger and computer engineer who promoted a radical blend of anarchism, transhumanism, veganism, and anti-artificial intelligence ideology. Federal authorities have connected members of the group to at least six killings, including the January 2025 murder of U.S. Border Patrol Agent David Maland during a shootout in Vermont.

Federal investigators have also alleged that Michelle Zajko supplied the firearms used in the attack that claimed Agent Maland’s life. In California, several other alleged Zizian members are awaiting trial in connection with the killing of Curtis Lind, who was fatally attacked after attempting to evict members of the group from property he owned. Jack LaSota remains jailed in Maryland on separate firearms, drug, and trespassing charges while investigations into the organization continue.

The expanding investigation has drawn renewed attention to the dangers posed by extremist groups that isolate members from family, embrace radical ideologies, and allegedly resort to violence. Prosecutors say the latest charges demonstrate that the Zizian network’s criminal activity extends well beyond any single incident and may involve coordinated acts committed over several years.
