From the Daily Caller:

The RSLC announced that its Election Protection Initiative (EPI) will implement a clear ā€œelection integrity framework for Republican secretaries of state and candidates seeking office in 2026,ā€ according to a Tuesday press release obtained exclusively by the Caller. The initiative is launched ahead of 26 secretary of state elections this year alone.

EPI will act as the inverse of Soros’ SoS project, which worked to liberalize election rules and elect Democrat secretaries of state throughout the early 2000s.

Like Soros’ project, the RSLC recognizes the importance of having ideologically unified secretaries of state, as well as protecting elections.

The Republican State Leadership Committee says the initiative is designed to promote greater public confidence in elections by encouraging states to adopt consistent election integrity standards. According to the organization, the framework centers on four priorities: maintaining accurate voter rolls, promoting voter identification requirements, strengthening ballot security, and increasing transparency throughout the election process.

To accomplish those goals, the Election Protection Initiative proposes measures such as bipartisan election observation, transparent reporting procedures, post-election audits, and ballot-tracking systems. RSLC President Edith Jorge-Tuñón said the organization believes voters should have confidence that every legal vote is counted and that elections are administered fairly, securely, and transparently.

The new effort builds on previous election integrity work by the RSLC, including its 2021 Commission to Restore Public Confidence in Elections, which examined recommendations for improving election administration and preventing voter fraud. By launching the initiative ahead of a busy election cycle for secretaries of state, the organization hopes to establish common principles for Republican candidates seeking those offices across the nation.

Secretaries of state serve as the chief election officials in many states, overseeing voter registration, election administration, ballot certification, and other key responsibilities. As a result, these races have drawn increasing national attention in recent election cycles, with both major parties investing significant resources in candidates for the office.

Election integrity is ultimately about stewardship and justice. Scripture calls for honesty, impartiality, and faithfulness in positions of public trust. Regardless of political affiliation, let’s pray that those entrusted with administering elections will do so with integrity, transparency, and a commitment to ensuring that every lawful vote is accurately counted.
