A ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon has led to the reopening of one of the world’s most critical trade routes, bringing oil prices down and ending the international strain caused by the closure of the Strait of Hormuz.

From The Epoch Times:

U.S. stocks rose and crude oil prices fell after the United States and Iran declared the Strait of Hormuz “completely open” for commercial traffic during the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

In an April 17 social media post, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araghchi stated that the vital global choke point would stay open for the remainder of the ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon.

President Donald Trump stated on Truth Social that the narrow waterway between Iran and the Arabian Peninsula is “open and ready for business.”

The ceasefire between Israel and Lebanon represents a temporary de-escalation in a region that has been on edge, particularly with the growing influence of Iran and its proxies like Hezbollah. While the agreement has brought a pause in active conflict, the underlying threats to Israel remain, especially as Iran continues to exert control and influence across the Middle East.

The reopening of the Strait of Hormuz is directly tied to this ceasefire, underscoring how closely global stability is linked to the conflict in the Middle East. As a key passage for roughly 20% of the world’s oil supply, the strait has been a focal point of tension. Its closure raised fears of broader conflict, while its reopening signals a temporary easing—but not a resolution—of those risks.

President Trump emphasized that while the strait is open, pressure on Iran will continue. The U.S. naval blockade remains in effect specifically targeting the Iranian regime until negotiations are fully completed.

The re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz also brought oil prices down. According to the Times, “A barrel of West Texas Intermediate—the U.S. benchmark for oil prices—fell 12 percent to below $83 on the New York Mercantile Exchange.” The Times noted it’s unclear how soon this change will be reflected at the pump.

This is a critical moment to pray. As negotiations continue, let’s pray for a swift end to the conflict in the Middle East, for a positive outcome to the negotiations between America and Iran, and for the continued protection of Israel!

Trump has to stop playing with these people. He told the protestors to “just hold on” and the regime is still alive and murdering people (take a look, anti-ICE phonies at what real protest looks like) and now as of Saturday, Iran has closed the Strait again. What exactly does Trump and his team think there is anything to talk about with these psychopaths. This is like Charlie Brown, Lucy and the football all over again…and again…and again. Cut off the snakes head, crush it and bury it in a thousand foot pit. We have a Congress half full of real traitors…finish the job and forget about being great at cutting deals. This is a psychotic muslim death cult he is dealing with…not some Union.

With guidance from God the Trump administration has achieved a pause in the middle east. FYI the pump price went up in days after the removal of Iranian leadership and their ability to supply their proxy terrorist groups and now when the pump price going down is uncertain. Greed. I trust in God. 🙏😇🙏

The issue of the day is oil. Oil is symbolic of Holy Spirit in scripture. The supposed oil crisis (there is plenty available) is driving up the cost of everything. The Lord’s people incur great consequences and costs by acting in their own strength and not by the Holy Spirit of life… “Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.” “It’s not by power, it’s not by might, it’s by my Spirit says the LORD Almighty.”
America has drifted from God, The church is not standing for righteousness and truth other than a small remnant of faithful. Our government on all levels is decaying with corruption. Families are fragmented and broken or distracted by pursuing worldly wealth, power, and purposes instead of eternal, heavenly, and holy purposes which Holy Spirit can lead us into. The parable of the Ten Virgins is Christ’s warning to the end times ekklesia. Repentance is a change of mind that touches our hearts bringing revival and times of renewal and refreshing. The Lord is using signs, trials, wonders, world events, and is “shaking everything that can be shaken”, so that what remains will be pure. “Without holiness no one can see God”. The cross provided the cleansing so that the Spirit can come in to bring life, endue with power, and lead us into all truth and the fullness of Christ. Fast and pray, ask, seek, and keep knocking on heaven’s door for filling of oil, Holy Spirit… Confess any known sin, unbelief, or fear. “Whatever is not of faith is sin.” “Faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of God.” Get what is most necessary for life, freedom, and wisdom as we will be facing the greatest challenges our world has ever experienced in these last days. Read God’s words of prophecy from Genesis to Revelation and understand by the filling of Holy Spirit the mind of God. Abba and Jesus are willing to give Holy Spirit to those who will humble themselves and seek Them above all else. Don’t be like the five unwise virgins who had no oil for their lamps. Be the light shining in gross darkness by “My Spirit says the LORD Almighty “.
