As Shutdown Drags on, Homan Says TSA Paychecks Are Coming
As the Department of Homeland Security shutdown continues, TSA agents have faced weeks of financial strain while continuing to serve on the front lines of national security. Now, news that they are being paid is bringing both relief and a reminder of the power of prayer.

From The Epoch Times:
White House border czar Tom Homan said on March 29 that ICE agents will be used to help out at airports as long as necessary and noted that Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents should receive a paycheck by March 30 or March 31.
Homan said U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents would help with security until airports feel they are back at 100 percent.
“We’ll be there as long as they need us, until they get back to normal operations and feel like those airports are secure,” Homan said in a CBS interview.
Since the shutdown began on February 14, TSA agents have continued working without pay, faithfully serving travelers while facing growing financial pressure at home. Reports revealed that many were struggling to pay rent, put food on the table, and care for their families. In some cases, food banks were even set up at airports to support these workers—an alarming picture of the cost of political gridlock on everyday Americans.
At the same time, the operational strain has been significant. With large numbers of TSA workers calling in sick, airports across the country have experienced longer lines and delays. ICE agents have now been deployed to help stabilize security, ensuring that safety is maintained during a time of heightened global tension. This underscores how critical these roles are—not just for convenience, but for national security.
Yet in the midst of this difficulty, there is also encouragement. Intercessors across the nation have been praying for these workers—for provision, relief, and justice—and the announcement that paychecks are coming following the President’s recent memorandum is a tangible answer to those prayers. It is a reminder that God sees those who serve faithfully and that He is able to move even in the midst of political conflict.
This moment also calls us to continued prayer. While relief may be coming, the broader issue remains unresolved. Leaders must still come together to address funding and ensure that those protecting our nation are never put in this position again. Scripture calls us to care for workers and act justly, and this is an opportunity for both accountability and restoration moving forward.
Intercessors, thank God for providing relief for TSA workers and continue to pray for their provision and protection. Ask the Lord to guide President Donald Trump and congressional leaders to resolve this shutdown and ensure justice for those serving our nation.
Intercessor, share this article and give thanks in prayer—God is moving even in difficult circumstances.

Lord we pray for the support staff of the TSA that are not getting paid still. Lead, guide, and direct congress to do the right thing. They are suppose to work for the people not themselves. They should not be getting paid because they are not doing their jobs! I pray this nation would turn back to you before it is too late. In Jesus name
Dear Heavenly Father, please remember the true heroes of this nation, the United States Coast Guard!!! While everyone talks and writes articles about tsa, please help the men and women that risk their lives everyday in the air and on the seas!! The USCG has been abandoned and forgotten!!!!
