Texas Defeats Sharia Law
All eyes were on Texas in 2025, when it was made known that a massive Muslim-only compound had been completed. This compound would function as its own city within Texas. The plans were set to have separate schools for boys and girls, provide healthcare, a large mosque, and a senior center. “Epic City,” as it was known before it was rebranded “The Meadow,” would have its own government, enforcing Sharia law rather than our government or our Constitution. It’s unthinkable that this project would even be allowed, but it was.
Join others crying out to the Lord day and night.
The Islamization in Texas did not occur overnight. There are 330 Mosques. Texas ranks third, behind New York and California, for the most mosques in America, with Florida catching up. This has been going on for years, with no consequences; no one listened to the many warnings. One might expect this in New York or California, but Texas?
The truth is, America has been silent for far too long. The voters, even Christian voters who didn’t show up, were silent. Woke churches and casual Christians do nothing to help. Elected officials and leaders in Texas and cities across America were either complicit or too fearful to speak out. That’s precisely what was needed to advance their agenda. The more the nation was silent, the more radical Islam became emboldened.
At the beginning of the year, some Texas representatives spoke against Sharia and the plans to Islamize Texas, and demanded accountability and investigations into Epic City. During the March primaries, the ballot included Proposition 10, which would ban Sharia law from Texas. There was a weighty sense of urgency to intercede on behalf of Texas and to follow suit for the other states. Because it was clear when an Imam made a bold public statement, “We must take Texas first, then we move on to Florida, Tennessee”, and many red states. But the message was loud and clear: “Texas has to be first!”
Don’t Sharia My Texas
IFA Texas State Leader Donna Phillips felt led by the Holy Spirit to hold a 15-day prayer strike, running from the first day of early voting, February 17th, to the day of the primaries, March 3rd. The prayer initiative was called, “Don’t Sharia My Texas.” We felt it to be prophetic. Fifteen is biblically the number of divine grace, five multiplied by three. It also signified deliverance; it was believed that on the 15th day, the Red Sea was parted, and God made a way of escape. In 2 Kings 20:6, King Hezekiah fasted, wept, and sought the Lord for more time, and God added 15 years to his life.
With this in mind, we sought the Lord. IFA Texas and intercessors across America locked arms with us for 15 days of fasting and prayer. We turned our faces to God with repentance, thanksgiving, and intercession for our elected officials, propositions, specifically Proposition 10, and for voters to show up. We prayed. We decreed His promises and made powerful declarations over Texas. Many states that joined us are dealing with the same problems. It was a powerful time because we were unified. With one heart, one mind, we cried out to the Lord on behalf of Texas. It is always powerful anytime the church comes together in unity and agreement.
“Again I say to you, that if two believers on earth agree [that is, are of one mind, in harmony] about anything that they ask [within the will of God], it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered in My name [meeting together as My followers], I am there among them (Matthew 18:19-20).
Everything about the 15-day prayer strike came into alignment, encouraging us to continue and strike the mark. March 2nd, the day before the Texas primaries, was Purim. Which we know is when God brought forth a mighty deliverance for his people. March 2nd is also a historical day for Texas, marking its independence from Mexico in 1836. The day of the vote, March 3rd, was also historically important, as we were praying against Sharia law. On March 3rd, 1924, the Ottoman Caliphate was abolished. Would God do it again for Texas? It seemed as if God was perfectly orchestrating this victory.
On March 3rd, God answered the way only He could. He extended His favor and grace towards us. He made a way when it looked like there was no way. He gave Texas more time, as He did to King Hezekiah. He brought a turnaround, much like He did for the Jewish people during Purim. Sharia law was defeated in Texas, and it was a landslide, thank you, Jesus!
Though the defeat of Sharia in Texas was our big win, we also saw voter turnout increase, which is typically lower in primaries. People, not just Texans, are waking up and seeing how close we were to a serious threat to our freedoms, and more answers to prayer. Texans made their voice heard in a big way. 95% voted to ban Sharia.
Dig In Your Heels
Intercessors don’t pray for victory, but for victory. And this victory for Texas is yours too. Thank you for praying with us. May this answer encourage you to intercede with the expectation that God is hearing us. However, we must not get too proud or lazy in our efforts. An unwise thing to do after a victory would be to sit back and relax. The Bible shows us that whenever Kings defeated their enemies, they always returned after a time of preparation (see 2 Samuel 5:17-22).
Texas spoke up and voted in favor of life and our freedoms. We made it known that Sharia law has no place in Texas. It would be incredibly naive to think that radical Islam, which has overtaken many cities in America, is just going to pack their bags and leave. They are formulating a plan for the next step. They are looking for the next loophole or open door.
The battle was for Texas, but tomorrow it could be your state. It is far from over, and though we are on the winning side, we must be prepared. We must continue our intercession and engagement, more than ever. The need for intercessors has never been greater. Here are ways you can pray.
- Pray for your elected officials (1 Timothy 2:1-4).
- Pray for your cities (Jeremiah 29:7).
- Pray for the sleeping church to awaken (Ephesians 5:14-17).
- Pray for boldness. This was a close call; we cannot remain silent (Proverbs 28:1).
- Because it is certain, Radical Islam will not accept defeat. Ask God for prayer strategies for your city/state? (2 Samuel 5:20-24).
- Pray for Muslims in America to come to Jesus, just as they are in Middle Eastern countries (Acts 9:1-17).
Heavenly Father, we thank you for this victory. Thank you for delivering Texas once again.
We pray that people will heed the warning that what happened here is happening in other states and is likely to continue. Help us to remain unified, despite opinions and false narratives, so that Christ remains at the center of our mission. Grant us boldness in the face of all threats in this nation. We pray for righteous leadership that will sound the alarm and no longer look away from harmful plans for this nation. Open the eyes of the people, awaken the complacent Christians, to be silent no more.
Lord, we pray that what you did in Texas, you will do for Michigan, Florida, New York, and America from total Islamization. We know that You are the God of all flesh and nothing is too hard for You. We thank you for having mercy on Texas. Lord, let us not waste a single moment but make the most of every opportunity to make a godly impact in this nation. Give us intercessory strategies for what comes next so we can be aligned with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Will you continue to stand in the gap for America with us?

Please correct your article! Sharia law was not defeated – the proposition (on the GOP ballot only) to ban Sharia law was widely supported but it is only the beginning. See this article for details: https://allaboutlawyer.com/texas-republican-primary-proposition-10-march-2026-texas-should-prohibit-sharia-law-a-complete-factual-guide/
Please explain now -how will this ‘epic city’ be destroyed? It needs to go.
Dear Gloria, Thank you for this wonderful prayer report!! I’m so grateful to God and to all these efforts to hear the Holy Spirit and lift up the name of Jesus in our nation and world. Can you please clarify for me the sentence: “Intercessors don’t pray for victory, but for victory.” I imagine something else was meant there, but I can’t guess. Thank you again! This result is a great step in the right direction realigning our nation with God’s covenant for Hid Church. All glory be to God and to the Lamb!!
Praise God. This is an answer to Prayer. Thank you that
Sharia Law will not be taking over in Texas. I pray that it will
not be taking over in others States.
We are a Judeo-Christian Country and have a very strong
Constitution and we don’t want anything to jeopardize it.
Christianity needs to prevail in all walks of life and throughout
all of the government. God is winning!!
In Jesus name,
Amen and Amen
needs to be a federal law and any state against this ban should have their federal funding stopped , wake up people the muslim people are not the peaceful people they are trying to project, read what the Koran ( their bible ) says
The vote was against Sharia law but how will the state of Texas enforce keeping them from continuing to practice it? Has the mosque/complex been built? What is being done to stop it? How can we pray ??
Praise The Lord!
Thank you Lord!!! For all that voted for this not to happen in our state may we be watchmen at all times. God Bless each one of you and your families and God Bless the United States of America!!
