How many lies can a person hear before they implode from all the deception? As followers of Jesus, we should always remember that He is more than capable of bearing our burdens. He is also the one who commands us to persevere to the end. Thus, we must never give up when it comes to revealing the truth.

Teacher Forced to Remove Charlie Kirk Poster

The first lie told by the Left this week involves an economics teacher at Horizon High School in Orange County, Florida, who was forced to take down a poster of Charlie Kirk. William Loggans displayed a poster of Kirk in his classroom, which contained the quote, “Never underestimate the power of your voice and the impact you can have on the world when you speak up for what you believe in.”

 A student in Loggan’s class demanded that the poster be taken down, insisting that Kirk was “a Nazi and a fascist.” When Loggans refused, the student sent the principal an email. Though the principal stood by Loggans, the district legal team “determined that the poster needed to be removed–not because of Kirk’s quote, but because Kirk himself is considered ‘divisive.’”

Teacher Won’t Back Down

After the directive, Loggans decided that “as a free speech lesson for his students,” and “in memory of the values Charlie Kirk stood for,” he would file a grievance with the district. As a teacher who respects the constitutional rights of his students, he resolved that he would not back down. In fact, the walls of Loggan’s classroom are filled with images of famous people who exemplify courageous acts, such as Martin Luther King Jr., Rosa Parks, and Ronald Reagan.

Do as I Say, Not as I Do

While Leftist opinions suggest that Kirk is “divisive,” they fail to see their own hypocrisy when it comes to other issues. Loggans notes, “In our school, there are several teachers that have Pride flags in their rooms or stickers on their doors…they did not consider them to be divisive or political.” In truth, there’s a double standard when it comes to Leftwing messaging.

Throughout the process, Loggans has received support from many students and parents. Regardless of the outcome, he has pledged to be more active in civic activities and hopes to form a Turning Point USA chapter because “he wants his students to voice their beliefs and learn to think critically.” In the end, it all goes back to the quote on the poster: “Never underestimate the power of your voice and the impact you can have on the world when you speak up for what you believe in.”

 The Left wants Americans to believe that their speech should be protected, while conservative speech should be silenced. Here’s a newsflash: free speech is protected by Almighty God, and those who love truth will declare it for as long as they have breath in their lungs. Charlie Kirk’s legacy attests to this.

The Dangers of Sharia Law

The second lie told by the Left this week involves a powerful speech on the Senate floor given by Senator Tommy Tuberville (R-AL), who sounded the alarm about Sharia law in America. This fired-up lawmaker left no stone unturned when he unabashedly described the dangers of radical Islam.

Below is a transcript of just some of the points that Senator Tuberville relayed to his constituents.

 “Let’s be clear about this. The thousands of terrorists we have allowed to enter our country have brought their anti-American rhetoric and ideology with them. We’re seeing this in cities like Minneapolis, Dearborn, Portland, Chicago, and even New York City. You know, the leading candidate for mayor in New York City is a far-left Socialist who sympathizes with extremist groups like Hamas.

 But this insanity, sadly, isn’t limited to New York. We have elected members of Congress who openly support the radical Islamic terrorist organization, Hamas. Just yesterday, we paused to remember the more than 1,200 innocent people, including 40 Americans, 40 Americans who were slaughtered by Hamas terrorists in Israel on October 7, 2023. Hamas literally means ‘Islamic resistance movement.’ It’s been two years and two U.S. congresswomen, Omar and Tlaib, still refused to condemn these heinous crimes in Israel. These two members were elected to represent American citizens. And they are sympathizing with Islamic terrorists instead…It’s almost hard to believe, but it’s true, and they don’t hide it.

You know, we’re allowing people with extremist ideologies, people who hate American values to not only live here, but to hold positions of power and influence in our government. It’s un-American. And it’s an insult to the millions of Americans who have sacrificed their lives for this country and its freedom. You know, if you think this poisonous ideology won’t affect your way of life, just look at Europe. The United Kingdom, once a proud nation that helped save the world from Nazi tyranny, has essentially lost its identity. It’s gone. Mass migration has destroyed their society. There is no freedom of speech, crime is through the roof, and openly antisemitic, pro-Hamas riots have become a regular occurrence…If we aren’t careful, the United States will look like Europe in ten years or less. It’s coming. We can’t bury our heads in the sand about this any longer. The Quran openly calls for violence against non-Muslims. Openly. Radical Islamicists take these instructions literally and use them to justify terror. It’s not politically correct to say this but it’s the d— truth…Sharia Law is anti-American and has no place in a free society.”

While Senator Tuberville warns the nation about Sharia law, Leftists bury their heads in the sand, or even worse, they support Islam’s goals. For example, the same Democrats who championed the “Me Too” movement are some of the same ones who are silent when it comes to a religion/ideology that condones the inhumane treatment of women.

Radical Islam or Just Plain Islam?

The RAIR Foundation highlighted Tuberville’s speech in an article, specifying that his words “were spot on” about the dangers of Sharia law and the encroachment of Islam upon American society.

The article zeroed in on an important point, however, by stating, “It’s not ‘radical’ Islam that’s the problem—it’s Islam itself. For too long, we’ve danced around this reality, pretending that the violence, the hatred, and the calls for domination are the work of a fringe ‘hijacking’ the faith. Nonsense. As Islamic terrorists themselves make crystal clear, their motivations stem directly from the religion’s core teachings, texts, and history. Islam isn’t being perverted by extremists; it inspires them. This is what sets Islam apart from other religions, and it’s high time we stop burying our heads in the sand and speak the unvarnished truth.”

The Left wants Americans to believe that Islam is peaceful and compatible with Western society, but the truth is that its tenets are in complete opposition to our freedoms and way of life.

Leftist Must Eat Her Words

The third lie told by the Left this week is a deception that was finally corrected by Leftist CNN reporter Christiane Amanpour. In the past, Amanpour had stated that the hostages being held by Hamas were “treated better than many Gazans.”

With the recent release of the hostages, Amanpour had to apologize when the reality of what happened to them was impossible to hide any longer.

Amanpour stated,

“Earlier live on air, I spoke about what a day of real joy this is, for Israeli families whose loved ones are finally being returned from two years of horrific Hamas captivity, and for civilians in Gaza, who have finally had a reprieve from two years of brutal, deadly war. I noted that for the hostages who are finally home, it will take a long time for them to recover mentally and physically. But I regret also saying that they may have been treated better than many Gazans because Hamas used these hostages as pawns and bargaining chips. It was insensitive and wrong. From speaking to many former hostages and their families, like everyone I’ve been horrified at what Hamas has subjected them to over two long years. They’ve told me their stories of barely being able to breathe in the tunnels, not being allowed to cry, being starved and made to dig their own graves – and of course today, some of the hostages are coming back in body bags.”

Daybreak Insider, a conservative news source, reacted to Amanpour’s response. “There are many reports that Amanpour was forced to make this statement, and one has to wonder how, if she knew better, she could have accidentally implied that the hostages were treated well.”

CNN and other Leftist news sources spread countless lies about the Gaza War and went out of their way to smear Israel. But in the end, the truth cannot be hidden. As more truth is revealed by the hostages, let’s pray for healing over the victims and families who have endured so much since October 7, 2023.

Lord Jesus, sometimes the lies are just too overwhelming. Give us Your strength and Your peace so we can continue fighting the good fight for truth. We know that You are always with us as we stand up for righteousness.
