As lies and deceptions continue to swirl, a recent poll reveals that trust in mainstream media has reached a new record low, with the vast majority of Americans expressing little to no trust in mainstream news.

From Gallup:
Americans’ confidence in the mass media has edged down to a new low, with just 28% expressing a “great deal” or “fair amount” of trust in newspapers, television and radio to report the news fully, accurately and fairly. This is down from 31% last year and 40% five years ago.
Meanwhile, seven in 10 U.S. adults now say they have “not very much” confidence (36%) or “none at all” (34%).
When Gallup began measuring trust in the news media in the 1970s, between 68% and 72% of Americans expressed confidence in reporting. However, by the next reading in 1997, public confidence had fallen to 53%. Media trust remained just above 50% until it dropped to 44% in 2004, and it has not risen to the majority level since. The highest reading in the past decade was 45% in 2018, which came just two years after confidence had collapsed amid the divisive 2016 presidential campaign.
Gallup notes, interestingly, that this distrust is a both-sides issue. Only 8% of Republicans expressed trust in the media. 51% of Democrats expressed trust in the media, a number that Gallup notes is a repeat of a previous low in 2016. Independents, meanwhile, sit squarely in the middle, with 27% expressing confidence in mainstream news.

We have seen the mainstream media lie countless times in recent years about President Trump, COVID-19, the COVID vaccine, Elon Musk, Israel, President Biden, and more. With so many prominent, obvious lies, it’s no wonder why Americans, especially on the right, have lost virtually all trust in the mainstream media.
As trust continues to plummet, let’s pray for an end to dishonestly and for a return to integrity in journalism!

Most media companies are owned by people who are more socialist and anti godly. So no surprise that the now socialist and anti godly democrats approve of their reporting. People who cherry pick comments from conservatives and then repeat them without knowing the complete context that they were made. God knows and sees all and I trust in God. I ask for God’s guidance when reading or watching about news in this world. God is the way to truth all we need to do is ask for God’s guidance. 🙏😇🙏❤️

Good! This is a start! The mainstream media needs to be ignored. Lord Jesus, I pray that they are each exposed for what they all are- pathological liars.
Mainstream media has never had my unquestioning trust, because to a large extent, it has not deserved it! I was encouraged from childhood to put my trust in God alone, knowing that Holy Spirit indwelled me, and would lead me into all Truth. My Father taught me this Truth from I John, and I’m thankful.
1 John 2:26-29 I have written you these things about the people who are trying to deceive you. As for you, the Messianic anointing you received from the Father remains in you, so that you have no need for anyone to teach you. On the contrary, as his Messianic anointing continues to teach you about all things, and is true, not a counterfeit, so, just as He taught you, remain united with Him. And now, children, remain united with Him; so that when He appears, we may have confidence and not shrink back from Him in shame at His coming. This does not excuse a rebellious spirit, or an attitude of superiority, or a harsh judgmental spirit toward those I disagree with – nor does it excuse a refusal to listen to others – but it does give us permission to question. Actually, not just permission to question, but a responsibility to do so. It is simply being responsible to question fallen man, and even more so unrepentant sinners. Choose sources wisely, and trust Holy Spirit.
The Woke Left fiercely condemns in others so many things that they themselves practice and approve.. They proclaim to be for unity, diversity, and inclusion, but practice disunity, punishment, and exclusion for anyone who disagrees with them. The tactic is an old one: Always attack your opposition even when they do things you’ve done or approve; always ignore or excuse your own people for doing things you condemn in others.
Father God: In the name of Jesus Christ I ask that the hypocrisy of the Woke Left be exposed and so generally recognized that people–even Leftists–both laugh and cringe at the massive hypocrisy of Woke rhetoric and its deeds. May wokeness produce such a general revulsion that even mainstream media voices begin to ridicule it more and more. Amen.
