Lord, grant our leaders wisdom to uphold justice along our borders, and comfort families caught in the fallout of illegal immigrants' crimes in America.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a 30-year-old Salvadoran national, faces deportation yet again. After being mistakenly deported to El Salvador earlier this year, he was returned to the U.S., detained, and charged with human smuggling. Now, federal authorities are giving him two choices: accept a plea deal that would send him to Costa Rica, or face deportation to Uganda.

Kilmar Abrego Garcia faces federal human trafficking and smuggling charges after a 2022 traffic stop where he was found with eight undocumented passengers, no luggage, and gave a false address. Abrego Garcia has pleaded not guilty, asking the court to dismiss his case. His attorneys remain cautious in public statements, but the Justice Department has made its stance clear: he presents a “clear danger” through alleged smuggling, and accountability must be pursued.

Abrego Garcia has an American wife and children in Maryland who are directly impacted by these proceedings. While the legal system works through his charges, his family bears the emotional and spiritual burden of uncertainty.

The issue of illegal immigration is not new, but cases like this bring it to the forefront of public consciousness. As believers, we must pray both for righteous governance and for families caught in these painful circumstances. It is possible—and necessary—to pray for America’s leaders to make wise, just decisions while also praying for the victims of his human trafficking to find peace, provision, and ultimately hope in Christ.

This story also serves as a reminder that America’s immigration system needs reform that aligns with biblical principles: clear justice, firm borders, and protection for American citizens. Temporary fixes or inconsistent enforcement only deepen the crisis, leaving families torn apart and communities unsafe.

Above all, this moment calls for prayer—for elected officials who must make difficult choices, for families affected by these policies, and for wisdom and discernment across the nation. May God grant us leaders who honor justice and families who lean on Him for strength in times of trial.

US laws will remove a US citizen father from his US family when he breaks the law and no outcry. But this proven illegal criminal gets a group of lawyers and unlimited funds for his defense. Any who think he and his family are being mistreated need to step back and ask themselves “Why is he getting special treatment?” I say send him back to his home country and his family if they want to go. I am sure his family will be taken care of by our government, but he needs to go. His problems he has when he goes home are choices HE made and he is responsible for them. I trust in God. 🙏😇🙏

We can’t whitewash and say he is innocent. He even abused his wife. Stop compromising. Justice needs to be done. Is his wife an illegal? What are the true facts? Has he harmed people, trafficked women, children? Righteousness and justice not compromise. Think of the women and children. May God’s will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Father, I pray for our officials to have your wisdom in their leadership. I pray that those illegally here in this country would be deported, but I pray for your mercy for those affected negatively by their deportations. You are mindful of them in your justice that takes illegal aliens from our country. May your justice and your mercy rule our lives and our nation.

YHVH, the difficulties that people are facing as a result of the current move to deport illegal aliens must be laid at the feet of those who allowed the influx, not those who are trying to address the issue currently. Work in all, Lord, to accomplish Your righteous purposes.

I am a Maryland resident. I know scripture says to be mindful of the orphans, widows and foreigners. That is the mandate of the CHURCH. Our government is responsible for keeping the citizens safe. This man is continually portrayed as a family man. My understanding is that he is anything BUT.
It is easy for our emotions to “kick in” but we must exercise wisdom that only comes from the Lord. Scripture says that anyone that asks for wisdom, God will give it liberally.
May we run to the Father first. May we worship the Lord so that our eyes are focused on Him alone. Then may we, with reverence, speak to Him of our concerns. Only when we are abiding in our Lord will we know what is the right answer. His ways and thoughts are not like ours. We must seek Him above all else – especially our emotions and “intellect.”

Heavenly father, I ask for protection of this man’s wife and family in Maryland. Walk with them through the grief in their hearts now. May she open her mouth and speak of Your power and Your goodness, Your comfort and Your truth. May the wife be brave and may she educate others who have been deceived or even before the deception as how to walk through their healing and cling to You.
Help them with their issues of trust again. May he the perpetrator come to know you as his Lord and Savior. And may he tell the good news of the gospel like Saul to Paul. May many come to know Your son Jesus and your overwhelming grace through this horrific incident.

In Jesus’ matchless name,
Amen

Proverbs 21:15 When justice is done, it is a joy to the righteous (the upright, the one in right standing with God), But to the evildoers it is disaster.
Psalm 37:28 For the Lord delights in justice And does not abandon His saints (faithful ones); They are preserved forever, But the descendants of the wicked will [in time] be cut off.
Psalm 82:3 Vindicate the weak and fatherless; Do justice and maintain the rights of the afflicted and destitute.
Proverbs 8:15 “By me kings reign And rulers decide and decree justice.
Amos 5:24 “But let justice run down like waters And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream [flowing abundantly].
I declare and decree the Word of the Lord God Almighty. Amen.

Praise God! This man needs to be deported. May this set an example, and may all illlegals be returned to where they came from. We MUST get them out of our nation quickly. We cannot afford to keep them here, plain and simple. Lord, may this be an example of how to rid ourselves of these people who came here illegally. Thank You Jesus.
