Intercessor, July is a special month. Did you know that two states have dedicated this month to prayer and fasting?

Both Tennessee and Louisiana have decided to dedicate this month to prayer. Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry announced this for his state at the beginning of July, issuing a proclamation. In this proclamation, he called “upon the people of Louisiana to come together during the month of July in a season of prayer and fasting, seeking God’s blessing, protection, and wisdom for our state and our nation.”

You can read his proclamation in the embedded post below:

Meanwhile, as we’ve covered previously, Tennessee State Representatives Mark Pody and Monty Fritts introduced House Joint Resolution 51 earlier this year. The bill, signed into law by Governor Bill Lee in early May, establishes July as a month of prayer and fasting that will be celebrated annually. This comes after Tennessee dedicated July 2024 to prayer and fasting.

Representative Fritts discussed his and Representative Pody’s legislation on an IFA webcast in April. You can watch that webcast below:

These are not, however, the only states honoring the Lord in prayer. Texas also recently declared July 6 as a Day of Prayer. Governor Greg Abbott issued the proclamation in response to the devastating Independence Day floods, writing, “I urge Texas of all faiths and religious traditions and backgrounds to offer prayers on that day for the healing of individuals, safety of our first responders and public safety officers, rebuilding of communities, and restoration of the region struck by this disaster.”

As more and more communities dedicate time to prayer, it’s important to remember what the Scripture says in 2 Chronicles 7:14. In this passage, the Lord says, if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.

The people in these states and communities are turning to the Lord. Let’s pray they seek His face and turn from their wicked ways so that He may heal our land!

July 10-21st is the 100 year Anniversary of the Scopes Monkey 🐒 Trial. When Evolution and the evil decree of Eugenics was declared as Law in this Nation. All of us 🇺🇸 Americans need to be on our knees crying out to God this month for an overturning of this evil decree. And don’t forget… before 2nd Chronicles 7:14, it says that the people praying should be facing JERUSALEM God’s holy capital city of David. Then pray the prayer for their LAND.

To be clear Gov. Abbott did not mention Jesus or Christians or the God of Israel. Anyone praying to their god other than YHVH, the God of Israel is pointless and prayers will not be answered. This “all inclusiveness” pertaining to faith is misleading. Also Jared Kushner and Trump’s daughter are practicing Chabad Judaism, which is mysticism. Vance’s wife and Gabbard are practicing Hindus. There is only One God and He is jealous! Gov. proclamation is vague. Some of our founding fathers of USA were not Christian but Free Masons and I believe that is why our Constitution is vague and has gotten us into the trouble we have today because they were not specific about the God of the Bible. You can NOT serve two Masters. God wants us to worship Him alone! Many US politicians say they are Christian but they are of many denominations, some of them cults, and practice and believe things that are not Scriptural. There is ONLY ONE we are to pray to and call upon. Our ways are not His ways nor our thoughts His thoughts. There are ways that seem right to us but are displeasing to Him. Seek to please God alone. Know His word and obey it. Trust in Messiah alone to save you, not your good works.

Father in Heaven, Thank You for godly leaders in our nation! Please, Lord, let there be godly governors, mayors, congressmen and judges in all 50 states who would dedicate themselves to You and instruct our people to pray for Your mercy & guidance in our land! We ask You to turn the fathers’ hearts to the children and the childrens’ hearts to the fathers, in Jesus’s mighty Name.

“Thank you, Lord, that these states are turning to you fasting and praying. May this sweep across our country. Bring revival throughout our land. Thank you, Jesus. Amen”

Thank you, LORD, for the obedience that has been shown to begin a road to implementation of 2 Chronicles 7:14 “…if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” Amen.
