I Prayed have prayed
Lord, we thank You for what You did on June 24, 2022. We pray You would continue to protect and save the unborn in America.

Tuesday marked the three-year anniversary of the Supreme Court’s historic Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health Organization decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, which had legalized abortion nationwide. As Republicans around the nation celebrated the monumental pro-life victory, Democrats devoted the day to renewing their fight against the “horrible” decision and its “devastating” effects.

Both House and Senate Democrats held public events on their respective chamber floors, where members delivered remarks on the anniversary.

After House Democrats filed silently on stage, House Minority Leader Hakeem Jeffries, D-N.Y., opened with, “Today, we solemnly gather to mark the anniversary of the Dobbs decision, one of the most unconscionable and un-American decisions in the history of the United States of America.”

Rep. Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., also spoke about the “somber” day, saying, “This attack on bodily autonomy—on health care—was really the first domino to fall, the first attack in this extremist march towards an abortion ban. And what is that really? A nation of forced birth.”

Democrat Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer of New York opened the Senate event, saying, “Today marks a grim anniversary in America. Three years since the MAGA justices on the Supreme Court eliminated the protections of Roe in the disastrous, horrible, nasty Dobbs decision.”

Democrats used the opportunity to protest the “Big, Beautiful Bill” budget reconciliation package currently in the Senate and tie it to the abortion issue—legislation they referred to as “the big, ugly bill.”

Pressley said, “There are those who aim to rob families across this country of abortion care in their own communities. … The cruelty is the point. At this point, Republicans can’t deny that they’re actually in the business of making people across America sicker, poorer, and more vulnerable.”

Republicans also delivered floor remarks on the anniversary.

“Three years ago today, the Supreme Court corrected an egregious and tragic error and affirmed an undeniable truth that was originally affirmed in the nation’s birth certificate, the Declaration of Independence,” said Speaker of the House Mike Johnson, R-La.

Senate Majority Leader John Thune, R-S.D., addressed the Senate as well, noting the Democrat opposition: “I’m sure my Democrat colleagues have plans to commemorate the Dobbs anniversary—not as a day that opened the door to protections for human rights, but as a day that opened the door to restrictions on Democrats’ most cherished ‘freedom’—and that’s the freedom to kill unborn human beings.”

“It’s a pretty grim indictment of the moral health of a party,” Thune warned, “when one of its signature issues is promoting the right to kill the youngest and most vulnerable Americans.”

Since the Dobbs decision was handed down in 2022, 12 states have banned abortions, seven have various restrictions on abortions performed in the first six to 18 weeks, and the remaining 31 states protect abortion access.

It’s simply evil for women to use abortion as a contraceptive.

IMHO, destroying a child because it’s inconvenient is simply cruel.

Who knows what that child might have become?

Granted, dark alley abortions are dangerous. But, in this day and age, women can get the help that they need.

God formed them, & has a purpose for them.
