DOGE is working at warp speed.

We all suspected there was a lot of wasteful spending on the federal level.

Now, the waste has been exposed.

But what we’ve seen in the DOGE work is — frankly — low-hanging fruit. It’s the obvious stuff leaping off the spreadsheets and out of the financial records.

It will take more than identifying ill-spent funds to dismantle the deep state…or drain the swamp, as the President puts it.

As I pondered this deep state swamp, I realized something the Lord shared with me a couple of months ago applied to this situation.

At the time, the Lord was speaking about how people get stuck in labyrinths of their own making — made more torturous by demonic assists.

As folks try harder and harder to work their way out of the maze, they get mired in a miasma of hopelessness.

This description seems particularly apt when I think about our federal government.

It is a labyrinth.

Labyrinths are more than those pretty English mazes constructed of hedges, which frankly always seemed somewhat sinister to me when I ventured into them.

Merriam-Webster.com defines a labyrinth as “a place constructed of or full of intricate passageways and blind alleys.” A secondary definition is even more on the nose: “something extremely complex or tortuous in structure, arrangement, or character.”

Hmm…if you’ve ever done business with the federal government (perhaps any government), you would be forgiven if you felt you had wandered into Franz Kafka’s novel The Trial.

Just completing tax forms feels like a marathon of filling in little boxes, scanning documents, and checking and double-checking the formulas that result in — joy — a refund! Or — gulp — a payment owed.

I often am frustrated with — and even unfairly blame — the humans collecting the forms. But the frustrating process is rarely the fault of the people with whom I deal.

Most government employees I know are well-meaning, earnest individuals trying to get a job done.

But they — like us — are stuck in a maze of human making.

Processes to check and curb sin — like tax fraud — have generated tons of dead trees and yet cheating still happens.

The human solutions to what is ultimately a spiritual problem — sin — are insufficient for the task. In fact, human solutions can even be dangerous.

At least that is what the Lord saw when He evaluated the Tower of Babel in Genesis 11:1-9.

The Lord stepped in to break up that nascent one-world government because He knew if humans can solve their own problems without Him, they always opt to.

This strips us of the motivation to seek the Lord, find Him, and rejoice in relying on Him.

If we don’t seek God, we won’t find Him.

Which is a tragedy that breaks the Lord’s heart.

Every person who slips away — or hurtles away — into eternal darkness causes pain to our heavenly Father.

Even those deep state operatives.

So even as DOGE and the rest of President Trump’s team do their part in identifying and — ultimately — paring down the labyrinth that is the deep state, we also have a part to play.

Only God’s people carry the authority to partner with the Lord in the spiritual work needed.

Jesus gave us that authority in Matthew 28:18.

Lest we doubt the power behind that authority, we simply need to remember the lesson of the withered fig tree.

So Jesus answered and said to [the disciples], “Have faith in God. For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says. Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them (Mark 11:22-24).

What is our job then in dismantling the deep state labyrinth?

First, we must forgive. Yes, forgive.

When Jesus taught on the withered fig tree, He followed the lesson with an admonition to forgive.

And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him, that your Father in heaven may also forgive you your trespasses. But if you do not forgive, neither will your Father in heaven forgive your trespasses (Mark 11: 25-26).

The power of grace released through forgiveness literally saved the world.

And so, too, will it hammer the walls of the labyrinth.

Second, as in all building projects, faulty walls and confused, contorted construction must come down.

When I was praying about the how to destroy the labyrinths of life, the Lord spoke to my spirit, “This is then the work of Kingdom Builders — angels that demolish labyrinths and then build the smooth, illuminated ways to the end goals.”

It makes sense angels would be tasked with this kind of spiritual work.

As Hebrews 1:14 says, Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?

Remember Sodom and Gomorrah? Angels were involved. They also show up in various capacities throughout the book of Revelation, also executing the Lord’s will on earth.

So with the power of the Blood of Jesus and the heavenly assist from the Lord’s angels, we too can do our part in laying low the labyrinth.

Let us call upon the Lord to release His Kingdom Builders.

Lord, we bless You for Your work in and through our President and his team — including DOGE. Thank You for exposing waste and highlighting inefficiency. Thank You also for exposing corruption.

We choose now to forgive those who have willfully wasted and those who have contributed unwittingly or knowingly with evil intent to the deep state labyrinth. Release any debt against them and unleash the power of the Blood of Jesus to clean all corrosion.

Draw the people involved into the knowledge of their need of a savior and reveal Jesus to them. Draw by the Holy Spirit each person into a saving relationship with Jesus Christ.

Provide private sector work for those being dismissed from government, but do not allow any who are anti-Christ to be placed into positions of influence over innocents.

And release the Kingdom Builders — angels to demolish the labyrinth of the federal government, overgrown bureaucracies, and administrative state. Please instruct Your angels to build smooth, well-lit ways to the rightful goals for our federal government.
