As Musk and President Trump reportedly plan to shut down USAID, Secretary of State Marco Rubio has announced that he is the agency’s acting director. What’s in store for the future of USAID and our nation?
From Fox News. Secretary of State Marco Rubio confirmed that he is now the acting director of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID).

Rubio told this to reporters while taking questions from the press in El Salvador.
He said his frustration with USAID goes back to his time in Congress, describing the agency as “completely unresponsive.” It is supposed to respond to policy directives at the State Department “and it refuses to do so,” the secretary said, adding: “there are a lot of functions of USAID that are going to continue, that are going to be a part of American foreign policy, but it has to be aligned with American foreign policy.”
During his confirmation hearing, Rubio recalled, he said that “every dollar that we spend and every program that we fund will be aligned with the national interests of the United States, and USAID has a history of sort of ignoring that and deciding that they’re somehow a global charity separate from the national interest.” …
Asked if he was currently in charge of USAID, Rubio said, “I’m the acting director of USAID. I’ve delegated that authority to someone, but stay in touch with him.” …
USAID staffers were instructed earlier Monday to stay out of the agency’s Washington headquarters after Elon Musk announced President Donald Trump had agreed with him to shut the agency. Thousands of USAID employees had already been laid off and programs shut down.

GREAT MOVE AND ABOUT TIME
Continue to grant wisdom and discernment to President Trump, Secretary Rubio, and all of the appointed cabinet members, Lord. May the steps they take to cut unnecessary government spending be effective and honoring to You. May Your church arise, to fulfill Your charge to care for, and provide for those in need.
I listened with horror to the partial list of some of the ridiculous programs that were being funded by this bloated agency. We the People have been stolen from at incredulous amounts of money. Our children and grandchildren have been put into debt by an unholy group of criminals. This agency has been, basically a money laundering outfit. Lord, I am so grateful to you for answering the prayers of your children. We now have a President of the People for perhaps the first time in my 75 years of living. Guard him and all who stand with him , Father. Unleash warrior angels to block every attempt to bring down this administration. Thank you that we have fearless leaders in place now. We pray that every person you have selected will be confirmed to be in Trumps cabinet. I pray lying and deceiving opponents will fall from the positions they formerly held. I pray our lying media pundits will be removed, too. Let the Holy Spirit blow a fresh clean wind through all our governing bodies… in Jesus name. Amen.

Father, I praise You for exposing the egregious spending of this agency. I thank You for shutting it down. I pray that the people who have lost their jobs will quickly find other work. May they not suffer hardship because of this. Cause people to rise up to a higher calling by becoming entrepreneurs or leaders in another field. Guide and direct them. Save their souls. My heart rejoices just like Your word says.

Please consider those who benevolently have worked for USAiD many years in good faith to provide heartfelt care for those in need. They have devoted their careers benevolently-not nefariously. Restructure this organization but do not through the baby out with the bath water.
Amen. Not all USAID workers and programs are as described by our conservative news media. And the same for NGOs. All that we worked alongside were honorable and helped alleviate great need overseas and here at home.
Our daughter is one of those people who worked for them and is devastated by it getting shut down. She fears that the many people depending on life saving medicines will have to go without and suffer the consequences. She did not know of the mismanagement or misdirection of funds that were going on inside the organization. No, she is in limbo as to where she goes from here. Please pray for her and the many others who were let go as they search for other employment. I too pray that this organization restructures itself to serve people in accordance with godly principles and accountability.
Lord, we pray for your intervention in every decision made as good stewards of all you have provided for us. May Marco Rubio continually ask for your intervention in all situations he faces knowing that we the people are behind it all the way if You are at the center of his decisions. Thank you, Lord, for all you provide for us every moment of every day.

Please remember to also pray for former federal employees who have suddenly lost their jobs. May they quickly be able to find meaningful alternative employment and financial stability.
This is a wonderful development. Truly the right direction. As too many players have moved to undermine godly priorities, we need a huge (often 180 degrees) course correction. Lord, I pray for any individuals who truly want to do your will to rise up. Bless Sec Rubio’s efforts. Give him wisdom and put together righteous teams to do your will with our tax moneys. Mostly, let your Church rise up to be MOLDED to do your will. In Jesus’ name.

Please Lord…keep and protect and guard your appointed servants; giving each one knowledge, understanding and wisdom from above, to bring lasting spiritual, moral and ethical change in the offices and hallways and tunnels of our apportioned government. Remove every individual that means to harm You and Your children, and replace them with and empower worthy men and women with Your Holy Spirit…those that believe on and put their trust in Your mighty name, in Your honorable Ways, in Your blessed Son! Prepare them with power and with love and with a sound mind, releasing any fear they might have been accustomed to in the past while giving them guidance and direction that is fully and completely from YOU. I ask these things in the Name of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ to Glorify God, Our Father, which art in Heaven!
I remember standing in a bombed out building in the horn of Africa. I was a a young USN Corpsman and saw the stacks of dry beans and rice in USAID bags that were confiscated by the warlords and used to make them rich by selling it to the people it was supposed to be helping and the rage I felt at that moment. I remember that it is written that The L-RD is the advocate and champion of the poor and will judge the wicked accordingly and I sincerely hope and pray that this will help get the aid to the people that need it and prevents evil people from enriching themselves with the generosity of the people of the United States and by the exploitation of the needy. May HaShem guide our Leaders with His Wisdom and Divine Knowledge. Amen.
