President Trump is offering millions of federal employees the chance to resign and be paid for the next 8 months. How many will accept this offer, and how much will their resignations help our federal spending?
From NBC News. President Donald Trump’s administration is offering federal workers the chance to take a “deferred resignation,” which would mean they agree now to resign but get paid through September.

A senior administration official told NBC News that they expect 5%-10% of the federal workforce to quit, which, they estimate, could lead to around $100 billion in savings.
All full-time federal employees are eligible, except for members of the military, employees of the U.S. Postal Service, positions related to immigration enforcement and national security and other jobs excluded by agencies.
“American taxpayers pay for the salaries of federal government employees, and therefore deserve employees working on their behalf who actually show up to work in our wonderful federal buildings, also paid for by taxpayers,” White House press secretary Karoline Leavitt said in a statement. “If they don’t want to work in the office and contribute to making America great again, then they are free to choose a different line of work, and the Trump Administration will provide a very generous payout of 8 months.” …
The offer went out to the federal workforce through a new system the Trump administration set up that gives officials the ability to email all federal employees at once.
The email included a draft resignation letter for them to review. If a person wishes to resign, they will be able to reply with the word “resign.” …

Dear Heavenly Father, You establish families and You establish nations…these are Your institutions. I believe You heard the prayers of Your people and have shown us great mercy with this new administration. I cannot help to think of the mercy You have shown Israel throughout their history and into this recent battle. I truly believe You are uprooting our strongholds and I pray today that Your plans for replanting will be embraced by this administration. I pray Your wisdom and justice will richly cover them and us and I pray “us” will be enlarged daily as opponents realize the good governance in each plan of action. I so thank You Jesus for taking upon Yourself the wrath of God. And today, I pray You will direct our prayers and plans for a great replanting. One with bountiful fruit for a great harvest. I ask for this blessing in America, Israel, Mexico, Canada….all nations, Lord. I believe Your Word and it states: He who did not spare His own Son but gave Him up FOR US ALL, how will He not also, along with Him, freely give us all things? In the Name of Jesus Christ, I am praying unity in this plan as well as wisdom and unity in all to come. Amen
I think that this is the most generous plan any government has ever made to its employees. Possibly a more generous offer any company or corporation has ever made to an employee. May the Lord bless this effort and bring about his divine plan for the governing of our nation.
