Following what many are calling the greatest political comeback in American history, President Trump has been named Time’s “person of the year.”

In a feature announcing the magazine’s honoree, Time noted that the president-elect is now the “world’s most powerful man.”
“Trump’s political rebirth is unparalleled in American history,” the feature reads. “His first term ended in disgrace, with his attempts to overturn the 2020 election results culminating in the attack on the U.S. Capitol. He was shunned by most party officials when he announced his candidacy in late 2022 amid multiple criminal investigations.”
“Little more than a year later, Trump cleared the Republican field, clinching one of the fastest contested presidential primaries in history.”
Time added that Trump has “realigned American politics” and remade the Republican Party. …
Time also highlighted the July assassination attempt against Trump, a moment that he told the magazine “changed” a lot of people. …
Trump was also named Time’s Person of the Year in 2016, when he won his first presidential election. …
Prior honorees include President Biden and Harris in 2020, tech billionaire Elon Musk in 2021 and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in 2022.

Who else were they going to pick? It is the most influential person not the best person. Look at the list of the Times Person of the Year. There are Hitler, Stalin, Ayatollah Khomeini, Putin and Deng Xiapeng among others. There are many Presidents including FDR, Truman, Eisenhower, JFK, LBJ, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, both Bushes, Clinton, Obama and Biden as well as Trump. So it is not the honor that people think it is. However. I support Trump that pray that he be given wisdom and knowledge from the Holy Spirit to govern this country wisely.
Lord, please help President Elect Trump to humble himself under your mighty hand, always looking to you for help, guidance and direction. Don’t let all this worldly accolade feed any personal pride. Surround him with wise godly advisors who will speak the truth to him in love. If he is not born again grant him, and any in his family, that godly sorrow that brings repentance, leads to salvation and leaves no regret.
Lord, thank you for Donald Trump and the victory of conservative voters! Bring our government back to its Biblical roots. Root out wickedness and establish Your righteousness in our government!! In Jesus name – AMEN!
The laud and honor of man is often hypocritical, definitely short-lived and worth little. May President Trump pursue only the approval of YHVH, and not attempt to be a man-pleaser for that is an impossible task. Human beings are fickle, but He and His Word are constant and unchangeable – and He enables that which He requires.
