There is so much going on in America and the nations right now; you can feel the tension in the atmosphere. Some people are incredibly fearful. Some are angry, and some are feeling hopeless. Giving in to negative emotions is easy, but we have an anchor in Jesus. He is our firm foundation when the storms come and shake us. Though we don’t hear about what God is doing in the secular world, He is moving. I pray this testimony encourages you and fills you afresh with hope.

Last year, while covering the nationwide March for Jesus, I was introduced to an evangelist named Rami Sam, a Messianic Jew from the Netherlands. You can read about how the Lord called him to do marches in his country here, From Marches to Movements.

More than marching and holding outreach festivals, Rami partnered with other believers to proclaim that Jesus was Lord over their city. On September 14, 2024,  more than 400 people gathered (even the Tram was on hold so they could pass, which rarely happens). Two years ago three people marched. This year 400 marched and worshipped in the streets. There was also a boat parade—nine boats with 250 worshippers praised God over the waters in Amsterdam Centrum Canal. 

The atmosphere was permeated with prayers, praise, worship, and unity. Many pastors and leaders prayed for revival, including international pastors and leaders who attended with their churches. It was a multicultural environment. “I believe churches working together in unity took the marches by storm. That was my prayer that we would all be one. It’s the Lord’s prayer for His church,” (see John 17:20-23) Rami said.

God moved in a mighty way. Afterward, the outreach ministry continued into the evening, and many people surrendered their lives to Jesus. Rami estimates that 150 to 300 people came forward to receive Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. “There were 500 believers, laying hands on the people and ministering to them. The love and Presence of God touched thousands in attendance,” Rami said. He also noted many miraculous signs, including healing people from back issues, headaches, depression, and more. One woman from Canada heard from the Lord to go to Amsterdam, and she went in obedience and experienced revival. Other people had the same story; the Lord sent them to Amsterdam. 

Rami said, “We are having a revival in the Netherlands. We want to bring this abroad. We know there are marches, but there is a festival after that, where there can be worship boats, evangelizing, and baptism. If we can do it here in the Netherlands, why not Germany, London, Paris, and Europe? We have meetings with pastors in Florida; we would love to do it there, too.”

People from other nations who have a heart for America have always moved me. They have no obligation to us, yet they intercede and make moves to connect with leaders from our country. This is what Rami has done. 

Rami reached out to IFA to share a good report. God is moving in Amsterdam, and Rami wants to see it in America and other nations. He also requested your prayers. He told me he has been experiencing intense spiritual warfare. The enemy is opposing him because God has been using Rami to stand for revival and unify the church. Here is how he requested prayer.

• Division is one of the oldest tactics of the devil. The enemy is using people to sow division and distract from the good work God is doing. Pray for the body of Christ to remain united.

May the God of endurance and encouragement grant you to live in such harmony with one another, in accord with Christ Jesus, that together you may with one voice glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 15:5- 6 ESV).

• Rami has said there have been “wolves in sheep’s clothing” doing damage from the inside. Pray that God would expose and remove those whose intentions are false.

I appeal to you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and create obstacles contrary to the doctrine that you have been taught; avoid them. For such persons do not serve our Lord Christ, but their own appetites, and by smooth talk and flattery, they deceive the hearts of the naive (Romans 16:17-18 ESV).

• As with any move of God, people try to control what God is doing. The fastest way to kill a revival is to try and control the Holy Spirit. Pray that Rami will continue to steward what God is doing. Pray that he will guard from those with bad intentions but remain loose enough to allow the Holy Spirit to have His way. 

Show me your ways, Lord, teach me your paths. Guide me in your truth and teach me, for you are God, my Savior, and my hope is in you all day long (Psalm 25:4-5 NIV). 

• Pray for Rami and his team to remain rooted in Christ and faithful to the call.

For this reason, I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:14-19 ESV).
