Despite the mainstream media’s attempt to hide or downplay it, horrible things happened in October to Israeli men, women, and children at the hands of Hamas.

Post a prayer for your state!

It is appalling to us that activists and the mainstream media have worked so hard to downplay the atrocities that took place on October 7 and beyond. We knew at the time that babies were killed and women were raped, although the information we have now is even more revolting. According to Amir Tsarfati of Behold Israel, both men and women were raped for hours, facing sexual assault and genital mutilation so violent that many had broken ribs and pelvises. Furthermore, Tsarfati shared a story about a pregnant woman whose child was ripped out of her and stabbed to death. He even speculated that some women being held hostage by Hamas will never be released on account of what they may say to the media.

Why is the media silent about this? Why have feminist and women’s rights organizations not proudly stood against Hamas? Why do we see so many women protesting on behalf of Palestinians instead of protesting against Hamas’ unacceptable treatment of women?

This behavior is dark and depraved, but it also reflects a terrifying hatred of the Jews. The only reason these crimes happened is because of Hamas’ and the Palestinian people’s hatred of Israel and its people. From a young age, we know that Palestinians are taught to hate Jews. Earlier this month Tsarfati shared a poll showing that 75% of Palestinians supported Hamas’ massacre on October 7. Muslim clerics in Gaza reportedly gave Hamas permission to rape Israeli women before their initial attack. In an unbelievable display of hatred, one Palestinian boy’s life was saved by an organ transplant courtesy of a killed IDF soldier. The boy’s mother reacted to the news by saying that she wanted her son to become a martyr, claiming that Palestinian life has no value unless it is sacrificed in the murder of Jews. The level of callous disregard for human life, both Palestinian and Jewish, brings to mind former Israeli Prime Minister Golda Meier’s famous quote: “We will only have peace with the Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.”

It is clear that this hatred is a key part of the conflict in Israel, as well as actions of the Taliban and in fundamentalist Muslim communities in Africa and Asia. This hatred is so prominent that a Libyan TV host said that Palestinian women give birth to large amounts of children for the express purpose of pushing them to martyrdom. “They have nuclear bombs,” another host said, “and we have ‘offspring bombs.'”

You can watch the video of this chilling exchange below:

Has this hatred bled into Christian nations more than we realize? Is this why so many western journalists, activists, and organizations are unwilling to call out the atrocities committed by Hamas?

This hostility and hatred toward the Jews clearly runs deep. With this loathing so deeply ingrained in Muslim cultures, it seems that there is no solution other than Christ. Jesus said, “bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven, for He makes His sun rise on the evil and the good…” (Matthew 5:44b-45a). Therefore, we pray for those who hate the Jews, both in Gaza and around the world. Intervene, God, and rewrite their hearts!

I pray every day that God will rain/reign down sanity on the near east.
While I can’t witness to Gaza I can witness to Palestinians and Christian churches. Palestinians in the West Bank rejected Hamas decades ago. Ramallah, a large and old city in the West Bank was once a Christian city. While many Palestinian Christians have left the West Bank, churches have remained involved there. (It is easier for Christian Palestinians to enter another country than for Muslim Palestinians.) We Christians connected to the West Bank of Palestine do not get messages of hate for Jews from our people there. We get fear of the Israeli government, which is not supported by half or more of the Israeli people.
We can witness directly to oppression because we have visited Israel and our institutions in the Palestinian West Bank. I have been there. Ramallah Friends School (Quaker) has over 1500 students. It is 155 years old, having survived under rule by Turkey, Britain, Jordan, and now Israel.
It is important to separate Hamas from the majority of Palestinians. It only feeds hate to say all Palestinians hate Jews. Right now many Christian churches are focused on helping their institution in the West Bank survive. Neither group should be demonized.

FATHER GOD please send YOUR angels to bring Truth and Justice to the world that is sympathetic to terrorists whose father is the devil, the father of lies! Expose all of the enemies of all of YOUR people, including those that are born-again, and let those enemies be aware of the devil they serve. Then send laborers to them for salvation in JESUS NAME! Amen!

Nathan, Thanks so much for this sobering article. It was hard to read, but it inspired me to hit my knees hard to pray for the apple of God’s eye!

Father, thank you for this website. I lift in America up to you; may we see the parallels to the history of Nazis Germany’s rise. When I read Dietrich Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxis, I was appalled by the ease with which evil rose to power. May you not only continue to intervene for your chosen people but open our eyes and hearts to see Truth in America.

Guide our nation, Lord. Use America to be your light once again. May the Holy Spirit touch our college population and entire nation to see clearly. Protect us from the open borders of unknowns with evil motives. Help us to worship you in spirit and truth and be guided by your wisdom as a nation . May we again find wisdom and be invigorated in your presence across our nation.
You alone are worthy. In Jesus’ name, I pray. Amen

Judy, I am reading the Eric Metaxas book, Letter to the American Church. It would help me a lot to discuss & pray over this book with a group of believers. A prayer: “Father, in my heart I feel this strong stirring to not give up until I get that small group together of like minded believers who are willing to confront reality & let the Holy Spirit lead us. Thank U for the gift of this book by Eric Metaxas. I can discuss this with the small group leader at church. God, help me to be faithful to this urgency in my heart to not let this rest. In Jesus name I pray this. Amen”

Patty, I encourage you in this. About a year ago, God put it on my heart to mail this book to about a dozen pastors in my town, with a cover letter. I finally did so this summer. I have no idea what effect it has had, but I was obedient to God, and continue to pray for these pastors. Many of my friends have shared how they, too, or someone they know have been led to give the book to their pastor. So I encourage you to follow God’s leading. He will bless you in this.
