I Prayed have prayed

Lord God, we need your strategy to combat the plans of the enemy regarding the many pro-abortion and pro-life bills under consideration in various states. Father, work in state legislatures to affirm life and protect women, particularly young women, from the harm of abortion to them and their unborn children.

Check out iPRAYforLIFE.com for a new initiative to pray for life issues.

Did not he who made me in the womb make them? Did not the same one form us both within our mothers? (Job 31:15)

(From IFA: Last Friday on our First Friday Prayer Conference Call Kristin Hawkins of Student for Life asked for prayer for a bill in California. This article describes this bill. Young women of college age have the majority of abortions. Imagine how the numbers would increase if university health centers provide students with abortion drugs!)

Students for Life members lobbied in Sacramento and toured multiple California State University and University of California campuses. They talked with students and displayed rows of toilet seats to help students visualize where their abortions would take place.

Pro-life leaders are gearing up again to combat a bill requiring health centers at state-run universities in California to dispense abortion-inducing drugs to students.

Senate Bill 24, introduced last Wednesday by Democratic state Sen. Connie Leyva, is almost a carbon copy of last session’s Senate Bill 320, which Gov. Jerry Brown vetoed in October after the legislature approved it by a wide margin in August. Brown said the bill was unnecessary because students were fully capable of going to nearby abortion centers.

This time, however, not much stands in the way of the bill becoming law.

Gov.-elect Gavin Newsom said he would have signed S.B. 320 if he were in office, telling the San Francisco Chronicle, “I subscribe to Planned Parenthood and NARAL’s position on that.”

“If it gets to his desk, he will sign,” Students for Life of America spokeswoman Kristi Hamrick told me. “We hope it won’t get there, but it certainly could.”

Pro-life advocates have plans to try to stop that from happening.

“This past year, we fought back … on several different campuses, organizing rallies, and going up to Sacramento to lobby against the bill,” California State University, Fresno, Students for Life President Bernadette Tasy said in a video. “We are ready to fight back again.”

Chemically induced abortions involve a combination of mifepristone and misoprostol, drugs that end pregnancies up to 10 weeks of gestation. The mother takes the first pill to block the pregnancy-sustaining hormone progesterone, killing the baby. The second pill sends her into labor.

Abortion proponents often say that chemically induced abortions are safe but don’t mention that women can experience complications such as severe bleeding, infection, and even death. By the end of 2017, 22 women had died as a direct result of taking mifepristone (also called RU-486 or Mifeprex) since the Food and Drug Administration approved it in 2000. Chemical abortions bring a tenfold risk of death for mothers compared to surgical abortions. In one high profile case, 18-year-old California resident Holly Patterson died of sepsis in 2003 several days after taking mifepristone….

Kristan Hawkins, president of Students for Life of America, said in a statement that S.B. 24 is “a dangerous plan that ignores the health risks of such drugs to women and undermines the purpose of university life…. (Excerpts from Samantha Gobba article in WORLD)

My heart breaks for the Gift from heaven God gives to a woman in the form of a Precious baby and out of ignorance she aborts it not realizing the Joy, Love, and Blessing she is destroying. Usually out of Fear, Shame and selfishness this happens, not realizing she is destroying the best thing that could ever happen to her.
My heart also breaks for the life of the baby whom God has allowed to be mysteriously formed in a womb. I often wonder how many wonderful, talented, souls have been destroyed through purposeful abortion. In my 74 years of life on earth, I think about the many women who have had an abortion then never were able to get pregnant in their lifetime.
Oh, did I mention I was never able to even get pregnant because of a need to have a complete Hysterectomy just 5 years after I was married? I envy all women who were able to give birth to their own baby. Please, please don’t abort your baby. Give it up to someone who will love it and take care of it. Please . . .

Heavenly Father, Our heart ache for the unborn who are killed in their mother’s womb. Forgive us for allowing abortion laws to be passed in the USA and to remain available for so many years. Help us to end abortion.
Thank You for those who are fighting these laws and helping to defund Planned Parenthood. We pray the abortion laws will be overturned very soon. Many women have been deceived thinking there is nothing wrong with abortion. Many have suffered emotionally and physically after having an abortion. I repent for our sin & ask You to help us turn from our wicked ways & do Your will. In Jesus name I pray. Amen

God, how can we expect you to bless our nation when we take the lives of the most innocent among us? We pray YOU would enter into the minds of our lawmakers the need to overturn Roe vs. Wade. We pray this drug would not be allowed in this university.
