The first parahraph of the article I posted-, ” Lord, forgive us”… is the addition of my thoughts to Dutch’s article. I was proofreading and tried to post..however this site’s software was blocking me.. So I had to leave and return..in the interim-, I neglected to post this explanation above my post originally
Here is what Dutch said today-, and also quoted-, from our founders.
It seems like those of you..or some of you, at least..in this thread, have forgotten this, or worse, possibly never knew.
Lord, forgive us for so easily caving in to pressure to conform to popular opinion, just because it feels good. Even if we abandon our fellow solders in that process
The highest glory of the American Revolution was this: it connected in one indissoluble bond the principles of civil government with the principles of Christianity.” (John Quincy Adams, July 4, 1821)(1)
“Why is it that, next to the birthday of the Savior of the World, your most joyous and most venerated festival returns on this day? [July 4th]. Is it not that, in the chain of human events, the birthday of the nation is indissolubly linked with the birthday of the Savior? That it forms a leading event in the Progress of the Gospel dispensation? Is it not that the Declaration of Independence first organized the social compact on the foundation of the Redeemer’s mission upon earth?” (John Quincy Adams 7/4/1837)(2)
“We have this day restored the Sovereign, to Whom all men are to be obedient. He reigns in heaven, and from the rising to the setting of the sun, let His Kingdom come.” (Samuel Adams, at the signing of the Declaration of Independence.)(3)
Quotes like these give hemorrhoids to the progressives and revisionists on the left, who are trying to steal America’s heritage and destiny. Our Founders knew the birth of America was orchestrated by God – not just for our benefit, but His as well. Satan certainly knows this, which is why he motivates groups such as these to try and transform us into a godless, secularist nation. They were making great progress in their diabolical plans until true patriots and the Ekklesia began to wake up.
“Patriot” comes from the Greek word for father, pater. True patriots, as I have said in the past, are those who respect and embrace the vision of the fathers. Those who refuse to do so are not true patriots. (That will annoy those on the Left, as well.)
Thomas Paine, author of Common Sense, which inspired the colonists during the early days of our War of Independence, made this profound statement: “The cause of America is in a great measure the cause of all mankind.”(4) Though he was speaking of natural liberty, not of the preaching of the gospel, his words were true in the spiritual sense, as well. Paine was far more prophetic than he knew. The cause of America is the cause of all mankind because it is the cause of Christ and His redeeming gospel.”
If the trump team is in fact guilty of misrepresentation- we are doomed to start all over again. The consequences of this are mind boggling and traumatizing.
Consider what David Leach had to say on the subject of our governance-, who considers that in the ( possibility, only, in my thinking..that trump is punishment) of God indeed having placed our president here as his man, although( in a previous article) a punishment- for national sin.
~I believe in liberty, which is why I don’t support the Libertarian Party
I support conservative values and the Constitution over political parties, and I make no apologies for that. My loyalties don’t lie with political parties, nor will I allow the Democrat/Republican duopoly to force me to play their rigged game.
This makes me unpopular with the Far-Left that dominates the Democrat party, but also with so-called conservatives and Trumpists that dominate the Republican party. This is the reason I often find myself walking the lonely road of conservatism, but it’s also the reason, thanks mainly to the Trump cult, that I’m still having a lot of fun doing what I want to do.
walking the lonely road of conservatism
I’m still having a lot of fun
I have been #neverTrump and #neverGOP ever since they joined forces to destroy conservatism, and that has required that I look for alternatives to the duopoly which is one of the reasons I endorsed Justin Amash for President in 2020 when he was a Republican and endorsed him again when he considered seeking the Libertarian party nomination.
#neverTrump and #neverGOP
I endorsed Justin Amash for President in 2020
endorsed him again
Like I said, I support values over political parties.
I’ve been asked by many over the years if I’d be willing to support the Libertarian Party presidential nominee in future elections, and I’ve made a decision I’m sure will tick off a whole new group of people because I will NOT support the Libertarian Party in its current form.
Yes, I am looking for an alternative to the Democrat/Republican duopoly, but the Libertarian Party as it currently stands isn’t the alternative I’m looking for.
At first glance, the Libertarian Party seems like a good fit for disenfranchised conservatives like me because it’s a small government, pro-liberty party. However, that’s where the similarities between conservatives and Libertarians end.
A Libertarian is someone who “believes that people should be free to think and behave as they want and should not have limits put on them by governments.” Libertarians hold the philosophy that government exists as a necessary evil and should exist in the barest form simply to referee social relationships.
Sounds nice, until you realize that the definition of anarchy is almost exactly the same.
“Liberty” and “freedom” are redefined under the Libertarian philosophy. Where conservatives understand that the sole legitimate role of government is to preserve and protect our unalienable rights, Libertarians define liberty as the individual’s subjective right to define reality for him or herself. Liberty equals extreme tolerance in the Libertarian paradigm.
As a conservative, I believe in liberty AND I believe that it’s government’s job to protect and defend it. When tyrants in government fail to protect liberty and the Constitution, we fix the problem by replacing them. We don’t allow anarchy to replace constitutionally protected liberty.
Knowing, *as the preamble to the Declaration of Independence*.. tells us, that our liberty comes to us from God, I like what the book Trump held up in his St. John’s photo op has to say on the subject:
“For you, brethren, have been called to liberty; only do not use liberty as an opportunity for the flesh (selfishness), but through love serve one another.” (Gal 5:13 NKJ)
“But beware lest somehow this liberty of yours become a stumbling block to those who are weak.” (I Cor 8:9 NKJ)
Liberty is a wonderful gift, and it requires handling with the utmost care. In the words of Abraham Lincoln,
*~~ “Freedom is not the right to do what we want, but what we ought.”~*
The proper role of government is to preserve and protect our God-given unalienable rights of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness through the right of self-government. That runs contrary to the anarchical ideology of the “anything goes” Libertarian Party which is why I cannot support it.
I’m a Constitutional conservative and a Christian, and that’s never going to change.
David Leach is the owner of the Strident Conservative. He holds people of every political stripe accountable for their failure to uphold conservative values, and he promotes those values instead of political parties.
No wonder we’re losing the country.
I find this deeply disturbing. Both heads of the Department of Justice, who were appointed by Donald Trump, said that they did not find enough evidence of fraud to overturn the election. The committees which investigated and issued detailed reports sometimes hundreds of pages long did not find enough evidence to overturn the election. The over 50 courts which reviewed the claims did not find enough evidence to overturn the election. Foxnews (and even Tucker Carlson said on the air and his emails confirmed that he did indeed believe it) said that they did not find enough evidence to overturn the election, and when they went to court and were motivated to find evidence to prove it, said that they agreed with the courts and Dominion that there was no evidence that Dominion changed votes. Donald Trump’s daughter said in a video deposition that she did agree that her father lost the election. Now Ellis his former lawyer said that she did not follow through with due diligence. His vice president believes Trump lost the election. I could go on and on.
I should explain. I find it disturbing that the overwhelming evidence is that Donald Trump lost the election and yet Trump supporters continued to proclaim that he won it. Most of their claims are based on faulty logic as, for example, how could Biden win and not leave his basement which proves nothing. The answer is obvious. People weren’t voting for Biden as much as against Trump. Trump supporters put their faith in random postings from people they don’t know and ignore individuals who have lived high profile lives and have been tested and shown to have integrity such as William Barr. He was known in Washington by both Democrats and Republicans to be tough and honest. He demonstrated that by standing by Trump when he was falsely accused but when Trump tried to force him to overturn the election, he stood up to him and refused. The lack of a grasp of reality on the part of Trump supporters is as real as the left trying to deny that there was evidence that COVID was leaked from a lab or their claim of a Russian conspiracy involving Trump.
She didn’t have to make a statement to get a plea deal. She could have just pleaded guilty. So, I appreciate her honesty. I also appreciate the honesty of Trump’s daughter. I hope that those who believe that Trump won the election are paying attention. Ellis didn’t follow through with due diligence. This is in line with the findings of the investigate committees and the courts.
I don’t buy it ! Everyone (should ) know(s) it was a coup of a duly reelected president by foreign and domestic enemies that conspired together, machines fliped the votes in Georgia (and really every state most likely) by foreign enemies and all the other tricks the deep state cabal played.
Father thank you for Jenna Ellis,
We are to quickly agree with our adversary, our Advocate in the courts of heaven is Jesus. Thank you Ancient of Days for ruling in Jenna’s favor, may her adversary be silenced in Jesus Name!
Huh?
Sidney Powell knows from personal experience that it is nearly impossible to win against the government. They are ruthless and with unlimited finances and they will take down anyone who disputes their point of view. I think these people realized what they are up against and are saving themselves and I don’t blame them. They offered their services to fight for a worthy cause, not realizing what they were up against. I just hope at some point the truth will come out but that doesn’t help right now.
I do not understand what was done to cause her to told when she and Sidney Powell stood so strong…?
They must have dug up misc. hidden dirt that might embarrass them or family’s…???
She is being honest. She didn’t follow through with due diligence. She didn’t follow through and check the information out and when she did, she found the claims to be false.
My teachings in Christianity teach me to use wisdom and discernment in all I read and see. Part of that of that process is a prompting to question statements and actions from Ms. Ellis with a prompting that something else is in play here. The Lord will reveal in time.
If you have discernment, then you should be able to discern the discern the manipulating and deceiving religious spirits operating through donald Trump.
