House Passes Parents Bill of Rights
We have prayed constantly for more accountability in the schools, and for the rights of parents to be preserved! Let’s pray for this bill as it moves on to the Senate!
From National Review. The House passed legislation on Friday to create a Parents Bill of Rights that would require schools to publish their curricula publicly and to share with parents a list of books and other materials that are available in school libraries.

The bill, which passed in a 213-208 vote, would also require schools to allow parents to meet with their children’s teachers and to alert parents when violence occurs on campus. The measure would also give parents a voice when schools create or update policies and procedures surrounding student privacy.
In response to the National School Boards Association’s effort to have the Biden administration crack down on parent protesters, who they accused of carrying out “domestic terrorism,” the bill also says school and government officials “should never seek to use law enforcement to criminalize the lawfully expressed concerns of parents about their children’s education,” and that the “First Amendment guarantees parents and other stakeholders the right to assemble and express their opinions on decisions affecting their children and communities.”
The legislation passed the House largely along party lines …
The bill is unlikely to advance in the Democrat-controlled Senate.
Democrats have taken to calling the bill the “Politics over Parents Act” …
Some Democratic lawmakers have claimed the Parents Bill of Rights could make it easier for books to be banned in schools, among other criticisms. …

Heavenly Father, thank You for the representatives in the House who continue to labor for what You call good. As they do their part, we ask that You would make a way for this to advance and pass. Please continue to inspire the men and women whom You have called to serve, to represent Your will and move according to the Holy Spirit. Thank You for the blessings of our children and for always keeping watch over them. In Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
Father, you are God of the impossible. We pray this bill would pass and our children no longer be endangered by power-hungry school boards and leaders that would put a wedge between children and parents. May our parents be aware and knowledgeable in their protection of their children. Touch the hearts of our senators so they may desire to protect our children and bring unity to our families.
I am asking that when we pray, we do so believing, not having our eyes on the eyes on the odds (for that is not faith!) but having our eyes on God’s will, making His WILL, the game shifter. Please do not word curse our prayers!
Father thank you for this bill! We know the enemy wants unlimited access to our children to get them away from you and any good parental authority so they can be conformed to think and do things contrary to what you have in mind for them. Let this bill become law so that parents will be able to better protect their children from this horrible onslaught!!
In Jesus Mighty Name we pray. Amen and Amen.
When I pray, I pray believing that GOD will answer if I am praying according to HIS Will! Why put “although it seems unlikely” in your prayer to a GOD where nothing is impossible? I bind that statement and ask YOU FATHER GOD to cause this bill to pass the senate and to become law in JESUS NAME! FATHER GOD please still encourage parents to begin homeschool groups, or join established ones, and pull their children out of public government schools anyway because of the inferior and low-grade education that they put out in JESUS NAME! Amen!
I agree with you that nothing is impossible with God! Amen!
