A joint statement from the Bills and the University of Cincinnati Medical Center said Hamlin was still in critical condition over the weekend.
“Damar is making continued progress in his recovery yet remains in critical condition,” the Saturday statement reads. “He continues to breathe on his own and his neurological function is excellent.” …
The Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans bowed down in the middle of the football field to pray for Hamlin during Saturday’s game. And Derwin James and Russell Wilson both wore number 3 and prayed on the field before the Broncos-Chargers game on Sunday afternoon.
Hamlin recently thanked the millions who have prayed for his survival and recovery.
“When you put real love out into the world it comes back to you 3x’s as much,” he wrote on Instagram. “The love has been overwhelming, but I’m thankful for every single person that prayed for me and reached out. We brung the world back together behind this. If you know me you know this only gone make me stronger. On a long road keep praying for me!” …
[His collapse] led to a widespread amount of prayer and support. Even football analyst Dan Orlovsky paused in mid-show to pray aloud on ESPN Live.

I believe God showed me that those taking a knee in prayer for Hamlin redeemed all the times those who took a knee against the nation and God in 2016 and 2017,
Father God, thank You for Your Word that states, “For the grace of God has appeared, bringing salvation to all men. instructing us to deny ungodliness and worldly desires and to live sensibly, righteously and godly in the present age, looking for the blessed hope and the appearing of the glory of our Great God and Savior Christ Jesus,” Titus 2:11-13 (NASB). Thank you too, Jesus, for “putting Your name on Damar Hamlin’s forehead,” Revelation 22:4 (NASB). Just as Your Word states Adonai (Lord) from First Timothy 15:1, “Jesus came into the world to save sinners, among whom I am foremost of all. Thank you Father, as people in America are witnessing for the first time, the power of prayer and the miracle that happened on the football field at one of our football games. What a Mighty God we serve! Thank you, for the gift of humility. Thank you, for prayer of agreement. Thank you for saving Damar Hamlin and giving him LIFE! To You be the glory and power. Amen and amen.
Several years ago, satan used the NFL to basically launch a platform of hatred and protest whereby the players would not acknowledge the Anthem and would simply use a knee or not even come out to the field. On that Sunday with Damar, the NFL was used to bring people to their knees but this time, it was to pray to God to perform a miracle in Damar’s life.
In 2023, get use to the idea that what satan meant for evil, God will turn it for our good. Thank you God for the turnaround this year that will and is affecting every kingdom mountain where evil has operated the last couple years to spew darkness, sin and wickedness. The prayers of the Saints are releasing light, revival and truth. May we continue to stand in faith for Your truth and righteousness to be exulted as we continue to preach and teach the Good News in Jesus Name!
YES! I have been encouraged by all the people who have offered prayers for this young brother! And so inspired by his boldness too! And the boldness of those commentators who prayed on air, not simply talk about prayer, but bring requests boldly to Poppa God’s throne on the red carpet of Jesus Blood, using His Holy, Beautiful, POWERFUL Name, with so much love and respect!
And WOWed by our God, His awesome outpouring, answers and 💥 of love, in so many ways! HIS holy Name be praised!!! Forever and ever…and in football!
So good what developed out of a seeming tragedy!! Praise God. It’s Romans 8:28 again. May Damar Hamlin’s spiritual life with Jesus continue to bear much fruit. May the beautiful example of all the people led to pray together be a strong inspiration and example that will help lead our country back to one nation, under God, indivisible, with Liberty and Justice for all. We are a unique country that was created by God as an example of good government as Gods would have it. God willing, now that the evil is being exposed in the federal government, we will return to being a shining city on the hill to the rest of the world 🌍 🙏 🌟✨🔥. May God help us all here in the U S to fix the government and stand strong for Him. Amen
Lord, thank you for the healing of Damar, and thank you for the display of out poor of prayers for him! God has shown us, and the rest of the world, that prayer is a powerful tool!
I am undone after seeing this video. God is so good, and He’s making a massive statement that He is not finished with America, and America is not finished with Him! All glory to our Father God Almighty.
Lord God, thank you for your faithfulness to us and even to those of us who are unfaithful. You remain steadfast, and your love never changes. Thank you, almighty God, for your presence on the field, in the hospital, with Damar and his family, and for the outpouring demonstration of your love for us.
I’m in awe of how the Lord has truly used this tragedy for His glory. Seeing grown men pray and fall to their knees has been awesome. And the healing for Lamar Hamlin
Praise God that this young man is recovering. I believe God a swerved prayer. All this at a time when a federal judge is trying to convince us that public prayer is unconstitutional. Sorry judge, you lose.

May the Lord God continue to heal Damar to full restoration and strength in his body so he can return to play his position again in professional football. Thank You, Lord Jesus for the healing that You have given to Your child, Damar Hamlin. Thank You for awakening the NFL players to the power of prayer, as well as members of the public who have been in prayer for this young man. This tragedy truly showed people what can happen when we agree in prayer. NEVER underestimate the power of unity in prayer. The only regret, is that it takes a crisis to awake Christians out of complacency. Imagine what could change for good in our society IF we could stand in the same unity to pray for our nation? Something to ponder.
High School, Coach Kennedy from Bremerton, Wa, won his case before the US Supreme Court, last year, for simply praying on the field. Hard grueling lawsuit, including appeal process. Now, if a NFL player prays for the obvious, a fellow injuried player, it is highlighted as a positive act.
It just doesn’t equate in my mind, although, it is a breakthrough. I hope it unleashes the freedom to publicly pray in schools. Jesus be praised!
May the sadness of the hurt of Damar’s critical condition bring all people together to prayerfully uplift him for his healing. May we have our countries’ healing- one by one- with God’s promise to heal our land with His awesome promise (s) to be believed in faith to obey. 2 Chron. 7:14…
