The earth is the LORD’s (Ps. 24:1), but we are expected to be good stewards of that earth. In Genesis 1:26–28, we see humankind created in God’s image and given authority over the earth. In the Garden of Eden, God blesses and releases humans to be fruitful, multiply, and subdue (care for) the earth.
