Intercessors For America Appoints Sara Olson as Chief Advancement Officer, Kris Kubal as Chief Program Officer

Intercessors For America (IFA), the nation’s largest grassroots ministry uniting over 300,000 citizens to pray and act on the issues confronting America, today shared two staff announcements. New to the organization, Sara Olson, will serve as Chief Advancement Officer, while Director of Marketing for IFA, Kris Kubal, has been appointed Chief Program Officer.

“As we continue in our mission to inform, connect, and mobilize intercessors to pray for our nation and our leaders, it’s critical that we have talented, experienced leadership at the helm whose values align with those of our organization,” said Chief Executive Officer and President Dave Kubal. “Sara and Kris are each uniquely gifted and it’s an honor to serve alongside them.”

About Sara Olson, Chief Advancement Officer:

Sara Olson’s primary responsibility will be stewarding some of IFA’s most treasured relationships while forging new national partnerships with likeminded people and organizations.

Olson comes to IFA from Concerned Women for America (CWA) where she served in a similar role for the past seven years, and helped to develop the nonprofit’s Donor Relations Department. In her early career, Olson worked in sales training and management with The Southwestern Company. While she excelled in sales, she stepped into her role as a full-time mom when she and her husband, JT, had the first of their five children. While fulfilling her role as a mother, Olson co-founded and oversaw Haystack Associates, an executive search firm serving national clients.

In 2008, Olson and JT sold their share of Haystack Associates so he could start Both Hands, a nonprofit organization that serves widows and orphans. Sara subsequently joined Belmont University overseeing visits in the Office of Admissions and planning major events.

In 2012, she was promoted to Director of Parent Engagement in the Office of Development, from whence she was recruited in 2015 to her national role with CWA. She and her husband reside in Brentwood, TN.

“It will be an honor and a privilege to share the important work of intercessory prayer – that unselfish prayer offered on behalf of others, who themselves may not even recognize the significance of it,” said Olson. “If we are to stand together, let us first kneel together, calling upon the One who turns the hearts of kings like streams of water in His hands.”

About Kris Kubal, Chief Program Officer

Kris Kubal has served at IFA for more than ten years in areas such as marketing, social media and research. Currently, Kris is responsible for the many initiatives and programs of the organization, such as Appealing for Life, the Policy and Prayer Summit, and the 50 IFA State Prayer Groups that exist across the nation.

Kris also leads all advocacy efforts for the ministry, garnering nearly 2 million messages sent from the IFA community and beyond just this year. She is the host of the weekly award-winning program, Pray with America’s Leaders, featuring leading American conservative voices on critical issues for our nation and has appeared on news programs such as The Water Cooler with David Brody and Steve Gruber on Real America’s Voice.

Kris has appeared on panels at conferences discussing issues facing our nation such as election integrity, authoritarianism, critical race theory and other pressing issues. Kris has authored many of the special reports and deep dives on topics featured for the IFA network. Kris and her husband Dave live in the greater Washington, DC area.

“I’m encouraged to see the rapidly growing community of IFA intercessors rising to pray and take action in their cities and states, and I am honored to be part of what God is doing,” shared Kris. “We know that God is not done with our nation since He is calling such a great number of Americans to pray in this day!”

Equipping Christians to engage and speak truth into the important cultural debates of our day, IFA’s vision is to see God’s purposes for America fulfilled through sustained prayer and Spirit-led obedience.
