Themistocles Patriotis
Call to Prayer!
Join our brothers and sisters across this nation at noon, and throughout the day, to pray.
Pray for families and communities that are suffering and grieving as a result of violence.
Pray for those who are sworn to protect us as they go about their work in uncertain and dangerous times.
Pray for people who feel vulnerable.
Pray for reconciliation!
Pray that our hearts might be joined with others to build community so that moments like this never happen.
Just a few weeks ago our hearts were horrified by violence and murder in an Orlando nightclub
This week we hear of the deaths of 2 young men in Baton Rouge, Falcon Heights, and this morning we 5 police officers senselessly murdered.
We grieve and mourn together as Christians and as Americans.
May we again join together in acts of prayer, worship, and action to speak to this senseless moment in our lives and in our nation.
Psalm 40
I waited patiently for the Lord;
he turned to me and heard my cry.
He lifted me out of the slimy pit,
out of the mud and mire;
he set my feet on a rock
and gave me a firm place to stand.
He put a new song in my mouth,
a hymn of praise to our God.
Many will see and fear the Lord
and put their trust in him.
