Intercessors for the Persecuted Church

We are burdened to remember and pray for our brothers and sisters in Christ worldwide--especially newly converted Muslims, Jews, atheists or agnostics--who are enduring great persecution and even death, yet standing firm in their witness for Jesus Christ. Praying that they may be blessed,
strengthened, encouraged and upheld in their faith to the glory of God.
July 20th, 2020 Florence (Lor) cunningham We pray that whatever their circumstances, God will give persecuted Christians the encouragement, hope and His right words. In Ephesians 6:19-20, Paul asks fellow believers to “pray also for me, that whenever I open my mouth, words may be given me so that I will fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains.

June 14th, 2020 Florence (Lor) cunningham Father God, we intercede for our brothers and sisters in Christ who have been the victims of Islamic militants in Nigeria as the militants are continuing their murderous attacks against Christian villages. Christian Solidarity Worldwide (CSW) reports 10 people, including a three-year-old girl, were killed in an attack by Fulani militants last week in on the Tudun Agwalla community in Kajuru, Kaduna state located in northwest Nigeria. We pray for the grieving families and loved ones of the nine slaughtered believers as well as a toddler, Elizabeth Samaila, who suffered multiple machete cuts to the head and died on June 4, the day after the early morning attack on the village.

Jesus said, “I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die." John 11:25-26

June 13th, 2020 Bobbie Williams Just joined this group. lt's hard to find a recent group of believers that are united in prayer for the Church, the Bride, the Body of Christ. There is power in unity. Praying against satanic attack that is coming against the Church in Sadia Arabia , Mongolia, Alaska, Mississippi, California, Oregon and the utter most parts of the world. Revelation has been given to the Body of Christ that witches and warlocks are gathering in a specific area to release evil against the Bride the Church the Body of Christ and all people. Decrees went out a week ago. We are praying against the works of the devil. Some are fasting for a few days. The remnant Church is arising in great POWER and demonstration and the devil is terrified. Lets press in. We will be about our Fathers business. The Remnant Bride is in full alert. Pray,Pray,Pray without ceasing. l hope l made a divine connection. Amen

April 16th, 2018 Florence (Lor) cunningham Please be praying for the release of Wheaton College '88 alumnus and Protestant Pastor, Andrew Brunson, from the time of his arrest in Izmir, Turkey on October 7, 2016 to the present. Imprisoned and held on false charges of terrorism, it is widely believed that Andrew is being used as a political pawn by the Turkish government to leverage the extradition of Turkish Muslim cleric Fethullah Gulen, who lives in Pennsylvania and is believed by Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan to be behind an attempted rebellion to overthrow the government in July of 2016.

Prior to his arrest, Pastor Brunson had peacefully lived and ministered in Turkey for 23 years.

Rev. Brunson has been scheduled to appear in court this Monday, April 16 at 9:00 am (1:00 am on Monday our time). If the charges against him are upheld — claiming he supported both the secessionist Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) guerrilla movement, and the outlawed organization of Turkish cleric Fethullah Gulen, Pastor Brunson could be sentenced to 35 years in prison.

Please pray for God's peace to enfold Andrew, his wife Norine and their children. Pray that Andrew will know the reality of God's presence with him and His love for him, and be able to trust Him with his life and future. Pray for the Lord to give Andrew words to say before the Turkish lawyers and government officials who are trying to trap and condemn him. Pray for the Lord to oversee all that happens in the courtroom.

Most importantly, pray for the glory and renown of the Name of the Lord in the country of Turkey, once the seat of power of the Christian ruler Constantine. Pray, as in Daniel's day, the power of the Lord will be revealed and the fear of the Lord would spread, overtaking the government rulers and officials who seek to dismiss and destroy His own. Pray that many in the country of Turkey and in the world will believe in the Lord as an outcome of Andrew's imprisonment.

We pray that our brothers and sisters around the world would receive His grace, mercy, love and provision as they courageously stand firm for Christ in unimaginable situations. May those brothers and sisters suffering persecution be upheld by our gracious Savior that their faith would not fail them and that they may know His comfort and provision.

January 3rd, 2018 Florence (Lor) cunningham Father God, we hold up our precious brother in Christ, "Eddie," and ask You to show Yourself mighty and compassionate in his life and his family. Thank You for saving him, keeping him in Your tender care, bringing him and his wife to the USA, and leading and providing for him all that he needs. We pray healing for his injuries, and we ask Your Holy Spirit to lead him to the perfect loving body of believers where he could grow, develop, heal and minister. As I pray for this Syrian brother, I ask also prayers for my doctor's family in Syria who are believers to be able to safely come to the US, and to likewise grow in Christ. Thank you, Mary, for your bringing Eddie to prayer.

January 1st, 2018 Mary McCauley I ask prayer for Eddie (not real name) who became a Christian by reading the Bible. He is from Syria and now lives in the United States. His relatives beat him and tried to kill him for becoming a Christian. He and his wife made it out of Syria. He has suffered physically from his past injuries. He needs to find a Church where he and his family can grow. He has a heart for the Syrian people to become Christians.

November 18th, 2017 Florence (Lor) cunningham Dear Intercessors,

Thank you for remembering to pray for our persecuted brothers and sisters in Christ. The book of Ephesians gives us great insight, please pray:

*persecuted believers would know the hope God gives (Ephesians 1:18).
*the Holy Spirit would strengthen them (Ephesians 3:16).
*persecuted believers would know how much God loves them (Eph. 3:17)
*would know how to share the gospel (Ephesians 6:19).
*persecuted believers would fearlessly tell others about Jesus (Eph. 6:20).

May 20th, 2017 Florence (Lor) cunningham "We are afflicted in every way, but not crushed; perplexed, but not driven to despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down, but not destroyed; always carrying in the body the death of Jesus, so that the life of Jesus may also be manifested in our bodies. For we who live are always being given over to death for Jesus' sake, so that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh. So death is at work in us, but life in you." 2 Corinthians 4:8-12

Father God, we pray for our beloved brothers and sisters around the world who are suffering in and for Your Holy Name, that You would hold them up, encourage, bless and protect their faith.
