Pro-Life Advocates Open New Shelter to Help Immigrants Choose Life Instead of Abortion

Texan Karina Breceda grew up in an actively pro-life family who devoted time and resources to help mothers and babies in need.
But as a young adult living in El Paso and Juárez, Mexico, she began to notice an unmet need among pregnant mothers and children seeking asylum in the U.S. Spurred to action, Breceda, now 29, just opened a shelter along the Texas border specifically for pregnant and single moms who are immigrants and refugees, according to the Dallas Morning News.
This week, the newspaper highlighted Breceda’s work “caring for the forgotten” and chose her as a nominee for its Texan of the Year Award.
Her new organization, Stellar Shelter, helps save unborn babies and support mothers in need at a time when women are facing intense pressure to abort their unborn babies, often from abusers. The Biden administration is promoting abortions among immigrants in federal custody, too. Recently, the administration told immigration shelters in pro-life states that they can transport unaccompanied pregnant minors in federal custody to abortion facilities in blue states….
