The niece of civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr. believes her uncle’s dream for a better America must include babies in the womb.

Marking the 59th anniversary of King’s famous “I Have a Dream” speech at the Lincoln Memorial, niece Dr. Alveda King said Americans have a duty to keep that dream alive.

“Imperfect vessels though we are, we can all work together to bring an end to the evils we face in America today, so that someday we can live in a nation that the Rev. Martin Luther King, Jr. dreamed about, a nation that cherishes all life,” King wrote in a column at Newsmax.

Quoting her uncle, she continued, “My uncle also once said that our people ‘cannot win’ if we are ‘willing to sacrifice [our] children for immediate personal comfort and safety.’”

Yet, for 49 years, that happened in all 50 states across America under Roe v. Wade. More than 63 million unborn babies were killed in abortions during Roe, and the majority of states continue to allow abortion on demand now that it is gone.

King said Americans promote abortion in the name of “choice” and “women’s health,” but they do not consider the child…. (Excerpt from LIFENEWS.COM)
