Loudoun County releases parent feedback on transgender student policy before Aug. 10 vote

Online feedback requested by Loudoun County Public Schools about a controversial proposed policy has been released ahead of upcoming meetings on that policy.
The school board will discuss “Policy 8040, Rights of Transgender and Gender-Expansive Students” at its Tuesday meeting, and “unless otherwise directed,” will vote on it on August 10.
Policy 8040, which addresses access to bathrooms and sports for transgender students, as well as usage of their preferred pronouns, has been widely and loudly discussed by parents and at least one teacher….
