A suspect vandalized a Washington state crisis pregnancy center by breaking the building’s windows and spray-painting the property early Wednesday morning.

The suspect targeted the Next Step Pregnancy Center in Lynnwood, Washington, Next Step Pregnancy Center Director Heather Vasquez told KTTH talk radio host Jason Rantz. The center stayed open despite the vandalism and police have opened an investigation into the matter.

“It sounds like one person that we could see on the video came by and just took it upon themselves to throw rocks and break five of our front windows,” Vasquez told Rantz during an interview. “And then spray painted all over the front door and the front walkway and in the back walkway in the wall.”

“In the back, they wrote Jane’s revenge,” Vasquez continued, according to KTTH. “I think they were referring to Jane Roe, probably.”

“I don’t think we expected it exactly but it was not really a shocker,” Vasquez told the Daily Caller News Foundation. “It’s unfortunate that so many folks have such a misguided idea of what really happens at a pregnancy resource clinic (sometimes called a crisis pregnancy center)…despite open invitations, no one wants to come in and be with us and truly get a feel for our mission. I truly hope this was an isolated event for us, and I hope the individual gets some help. We are not deterred in our work. We are unapologetically pro-life.”..
