The House of Representatives on Thursday voted to approve $1.9 billion more for U.S. Capitol security, although several left-wing “Squad” members either voted no or present.

The House voted 213-212 to approve the measure, but it’s not clear whether it will be taken up in the Senate, which requires a 60-vote threshold.

Reps. Cori Bush (D-Mo.), Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.), and Ayanna Pressley (D-Mass.) voted no. Meanwhile, Reps. Jamaal Bowman ( D-N.Y.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.), and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) voted present.

“This bill is not about politics. It’s not about settling scores,” Appropriations Committee Chairman Rosa DeLauro (D-Conn.) said on the floor. “It’s about ensuring that every person who comes onto the Capitol grounds is safe and is protected. The funding is not optional.”..
