Democrat Mayor Gets So Much Criticism Over Resolution Thanking Abortionists for Killing Babies He Pulled It

Virginia Democrats got so much criticism over a resolution they proposed to thank abortionists for killing babies that they pulled it.
The City Council of Alexandria, Virginia planed to adopt a pro-abortion proclamation next week to thank abortion workers for their “courage, compassion and care” while aborting unborn babies. The March 8 council meeting agenda included a presentation of a “proclamation recognizing Abortion Provider Appreciation Day” on March 10.
Proposed by Mayor Justin M. Wilson, the proclamation encouraged Alexandria residents to “celebrate the courage, compassion, and the high-quality care that abortion providers and clinic staff provide.” Wilson’s plan was to celebrate people who make money killing unborn babies and it immediately drew criticism from pro-life and religious leaders.
“Violence of every kind must be condemned – and abortion is a direct, violent attack on human life,” Alexandria Catholic Bishop Michael Burbidge responded in a statement. “Proposing a celebration of abortion and an ‘appreciation day’ for those who destroy lives defies comprehension.”..
